They were headed to the canteen to eat first. They went stride to the Halls and saw more buildings outside their current building. Looking out the windows, they saw the sun was about to set. They were feeling a bit lonely as that day will pass by like it was nothing.

The world was at stake and they were here training. The others were worried too about the world.

Renji was with Pete and he was talking about all of the new friends that he met that day. He was excited to let Renji see them. Minding that he was talking a lot about them.

One was the lucky guy that he mentioned earlier and a girl that was a Jiu-Jitsu champion, another one was a female sniper then the kendo world champion that was a male.

"I will let you meet them soon. This is too exciting!" Pete said as he giggled a bit. Yuan was also excited. He still has a few friends for now and he wanted to have one or even many.

"I am weak in socializing with other people and sometimes misunderstood. So having you to boost my friend list is a blessing for me," Renji said to him shyly.

"That is nothing, brother! That is the norm from now on. I have many lists of them. Also, I am good at making friends so don't worry!" he patted his shoulders and then did a thumbs-up.

"Thanks! I am glad that I met you," Renji smiled.

"No problem! We should all help each other out. Oh! the cafeteria! I am hungry," he pointed the entrance out.

They saw the placard of the entrance and it shows the title "Cafeteria".

Renji as well as the others arrived and then they entered hastily. Others giggled as they entered and then picked up their seats. Especially the girls. The cafeteria was already prepared to serve their meal.

Well, they saw a white room and there were many tables aligned with chairs. The platters were on the side and the plates accompanied with spoons and forks were already settled on the side.

They took their seats and they soon were ready to eat. But before that, Islinda made an announcement. Seeing that the chit-chat died down, she immediately coughed and then gathered their attention.

"The supply of food is still enough for now as the government still can support it. But it might change soon if we lax and all of the food reserves are depleted. The problem can still be solved if we make farms inside the island. Well, we will soon plan to make a long-term preparation. Nothing is too late and we have spare land for farming.

"In case the government will stop their support, we should think long term and we will be on our own,"

"Questions?" she asked them.

"Ma'am, I would like to ask when we were allowed to leave or go home?" one boy asked.

"After you finish the mission. Your parents are safe and were in detention camps. But if you fail the mission, no, if we fail the mission, then humanity will go extinct and will be eradicated. Though all hope is not lost. We can still manage to survive somehow. Just the retrieval of research data from the labs and the invention of the airborne antivirus will be our last hope. Don't even think of getting home when there is no safe place on earth.

"Also, your parents will see you for some time. I don't know how usual but you will see them from time to time," she then smiled and then said, "Okay let's eat! Enjoy!"

She then left the cafeteria and then they all started to eat in meantime.

"Renji, meet my friends!" Pete said as he waved at them.

They went towards their way and they also waved back. Two females and two males. One girl was blond and short-haired while another one was pink and ponytailed.

The two boys were also heading their way and one was having a calm and composed look while having a Japanese robe. The other one was a bit energetic and was having many friends already. Waving left and right to his friends.

"Ella, the Jiu-Jitsu master. Anna, the sniper specialist, Shiro, the Kendo world champion, and, Jake, the Luck specialist guy that I mentioned," Pete said as he introduced them.

Renji then shook their hands one by one and smiled with the best that he could. They also responded with a smile.

"Hello, I am Ella!" Ella had a firm grasp on his hands and it showed that she was hard working in her training.

"I am Anna! Nice to meet you!" Anna said while she was chewing bubble gum, Renji felt that she had hands that were soft and was not shaky when aiming with a gun. With deliberate observation, Renji saw that she was having good hands.

"I am Shiro. You are Japanese too?" he asked.

"Half," Renji responded.

"Oh! I see, well nice to meet you," Shiro then shook his hands more firmly. His hands have bruises and scars. His hands were hard like a rock and had a strong grip. Renji was impressed with this guy's passion for his training.

"Well, I am Jake! And I am the school's most friendly! Huhaha! Luck is always by my side," he chuckled a bit after being amused by what he had just said.

"Nice to meet you all! I am Renji, and I am just a nobody," Renji said to them.

They were stunned by what he just said. They did not know that he could lie in front of them.

"Please don't lie to us. All of us have skill sets when we enter here like no one is a nobody here," Jake said to Renji.

"Just kidding, I am the best when it comes to adapting. A fast learner I must say!" Renji said to them.

"Oh! A fast learner. We haven't met one in this school!" Shiro then laughed, "Hmm, you are interesting. A fast learner, I see," he said as he scratched his chin.

Ella was impressed at what she heard, "A fast learner? Wow, and also adapts fast! That was a pretty good trait!"

"Wow, I did not know that we will have a fast learner here," Anna said as she chewed her bubble gum.

"Haha," Renji scratched the back of his head.

"Well, let's eat!" Pete said to them.
