Time until V1.0 Release: 129 Days

His skills had reached their maximum level, simply because each of them played a part in killing the Abomination.
Broken ass game, but hey, I don't mind. I'm curious how things will proceed after Sketa Online actually releases. Rael wondered before dismissing that thought.
There were still a bunch of days left until then, and for now, he wanted to focus on the main task at hand.
Which, of course, was the main quest and lighting the remaining bonfires.
Even with the reductions, my stats should be in the 30,000 range by the time I'm done. That means I'm going to be stronger than Linlin at the very least. Rael hummed as he stepped out of the car and walked over to Seryn.
It seemed like he was slowly starting to get up, so Rael sped up the process by taking Sweepus Prime out of storage and throwing it on top of Seryn.
Immediately, Sweepus Prime began bonking Seryn over the head with a makeshift broom, until finally, Seryn woke up and pushed Sweepus Prime away.
"Good morning," Rael nodded at him. "You slept like a baby. Do you remember anything?"
"You killed the monster... and nothing," Seryn replied, rubbing his forehead. "I think I dreamt of my fiancée again."
"I'm sure it was a pleasant dream," Rael added with a smile.
But deep down, he was a bit wary.
Seryn was the Beast's vessel, and Rael had begun to doubt the existence of this so-called fiancée.
I'm not going to mention it... the last thing I need is this guy breaking down and killing himself, Rael thought with a sigh as he pointed to the car.
"Get in. We're going to get moving, and from here on out, I'm going to speed up the pace a bit, alright?" Rael said, earning a nod from Seryn.
"I don't mind," Seryn stood up and groggily walked toward the car before taking a seat in the back.
Meanwhile, Rael opened his map and decided to head toward the monument far down south of where he was.
However, just as he was about to close the map, he spotted something interesting.
To the right of the monument he was currently at, there was another road leading toward a different area.
And it's not that far away...
Safe to say, he'd be taking a detour, and his plan of speeding up had already fallen apart.
Nonetheless, he stashed Sweepus Prime in the front seat and stepped on the gas pedal.
The road seemed much cleaner, and even the black goo that was stuck to the ground began dispersing.
Snow-capped mountains surrounded him on either side, and from his current position, he could see far to the east.
And it was definitely a surprising sight.
Snow extended as far as the eye could see, and in the very middle of the area, a colossal tree rose into the sky.
It was so high up that he could just barely see the massive top, which seemed to extend across this entire snowy area.
However, just as he was about to check it out further, a surprising pop-up appeared.
<Warning!>
<Ghastly Lands: Recommended Level - 750>
<Recommendation: Turn back.>
Say less. Rael immediately turned the car around and fucked right off.
Once again, he wasn't suicidal, and while it was a cool snow area, he'd be swatted away like a bug by any monster and be killed instantly.
But despite that, he headed back down toward the Frostpire Bastion, and upon arriving, he was met with a rather lively atmosphere.
Rael tilted his head. It's been only a few hours, are they having a party?
"Are we going to check it out?" Seryn asked, and Rael nodded.
"We can go around, but I'd much rather pass through the Bastion. So yeah, let's go."
With that, the two stepped out of the car, and Rael stored the car and Sweepus Prime, before approaching the gates.
Without him needing to say a word, the gates opened, and in the very next moment, he saw a happy Genzo stride over to him.
"...Were you waiting for me or something?" Rael asked, a shiver running down his spine.
"Nope, I was just on the right side of the Bastion, and I just so happened to notice your transportation in the distance," Genzo replied innocently. "On the other hand, want to try this?"
He stretched out a bowl, which had some weird soup in it.
The color was off, and the soup was filled with odd purple spikes, which caused Rael's expression to darken.
"Are you trying to poison me?"
Genzo chuckled, shaking his head. "It's the seed you gave us. It seems to grow nearly instantly when planted in soil and exposed to the moon. I'm really thankful for this, Rael."
"I see..." Rael trailed off, giving the soup one last glance. "You can keep it, though. I already ate. You wouldn't mind if we exit from the other side, would you?"
"Of course not, go ahead," Genzo let them pass.
However, before they got too far, Genzo suddenly coughed, getting Rael's attention.
"I have a question," Genzo said, his expression serious. "Were you the ones who lit the monument?"
Rael's poker face didn't budge even a little. "It wasn't us."
Genzo stared him down for a moment before once again chuckling. "That's good, because if it was you, then I would've had to kill you. But thankfully it wasn't you, right?"
Guess he's repaying that favor by not doing anything drastic...
"Yep. Good chat, Genzo, but we're on a timer," Rael cut the conversation short as he began walking forward. "See you next time, if you're still alive, that is."
"I'm only 27, so I'll be waiting," Genzo replied with a grin and turned to his guards before walking away alongside them.
In the meantime, Rael was shocked.
He's 27? He looks fucking 72.
Nonetheless, with Seryn occasionally checking out some wares, the two finally arrived on the other end of the Bastion, where the gates opened once again.
Rael immediately took out his car and got in. Then, with Seryn in the backseat, he sped toward the closest monument.
My precious stats...
I'm coming.
