The air was thick with tension and sorrow as Kaitan observed the battlefield. The strength and skill of the older generation were undeniable. Warriors like the Third Hokage and his comrades, veterans of the Warring States Period, displayed unparalleled combat prowess. It was clear why Sarutobi Hiruzen earned the title of "The Strongest Hokage."
As the battle against the Nine-Tails raged on, a thunderous blast echoed through the village, followed by the sight of the colossal beast being forced outside the Konoha perimeter.
A massive figure emerged, gripping the rampaging beast and momentarily halting its advance.
"That must be Akamichi Fengfeng," Kaitan muttered, recognizing the enormous chakra and the Akamichi clan's signature technique. Though Fengfeng was well past his prime, his combat experience was invaluable, and his presence gave the other ninjas a brief window to regroup and assist in containing the Nine-Tails.
Kaitan forced himself to refocus. This battlefield was no place for him. His mission was clear: save as many lives as possible.

A Village in Ruins
As Kaitan darted through the broken streets of Konoha, he encountered a heartbreaking scene of destruction. Entire blocks were leveled, homes reduced to rubble, and countless lives lost. The cries of the injured and grieving filled the air.
Kaitan moved quickly, rescuing residents trapped under debris and providing first aid where he could. His limited medical skills could only stabilize injuries, but his mastery of Genjutsu helped alleviate the pain of the wounded.
"Thank you, ninja-sama," a young woman whispered, clutching her injured child.
Kaitan nodded silently. The gratitude of those he saved contrasted sharply with the despair around him. He wondered if he could endure such pain if his own family were lost.
The devastation steeled his resolve. He vowed to grow stronger—not just for himself, but to protect the ones he loved.

The Morning After
As the sun began to rise, Konoha's skyline was a tragic sight. Smoke billowed from several areas, and the once-bustling village now felt desolate.
Kaitan crossed paths with Umino Iruka, a boy just a few years younger than him, crying amidst the ruins. Kaitan chose not to approach. The pain of losing one's parents was a wound no words could heal.
"Dragonfly, do you still sense anyone who needs saving?" asked Kai, as he and his teammates—Kakashi and Ebisu—joined Kaitan in the rescue efforts.
Kaitan closed his eyes and expanded his sensory range. "No... anyone we could save has already been rescued. The rest..." He trailed off, shaking his head grimly.
Kai placed a hand on Kaitan's shoulder. "You did your best, Dragonfly. Everyone here owes you their lives."
Kaitan managed a weak smile. "It's not just me. We all did our part."

A Moment of Rest
Returning home, Kaitan was greeted by his fiancée, Rin, who rushed into his arms.
"You're safe," she whispered, relief evident in her voice.
"I'm fine, Rin. But Konoha suffered greatly..." Kaitan hugged her tightly, his voice heavy with exhaustion.
"You've done your part," Rin said gently. "I'm proud of you."
Her words gave him the strength to carry on.
Nearby, Rin's father, Dunko, watched with a smile. "Good work, Kaitan. You've made us all proud."
Kaitan nodded. Despite the heartbreak, he felt a renewed sense of purpose.

The Aftermath
The next day, Kaitan reported to the analysis team headquarters, where the mood was somber. His colleague, Shenu, approached him with a worried expression.
"What happened last night, Kaitan? Do you have any news?"
Kaitan sighed. "The battle was intense. Many lives were lost, but I think Hokage-sama succeeded in sealing the Nine-Tails."
Shenu exhaled in relief. "At least it's over..."
Kaitan nodded. "But it's not over for us. The village will need all hands on deck to recover."
Sure enough, an order soon came from Yamanako, the leader of the analysis team. Every member was assigned to patrol duty, a sign of how much manpower Konoha had lost.
---
Tensions Brewing
As Kaitan patrolled the streets alongside Shenu, he noticed an unsettling absence of Uchiha clan members.
"It seems the higher-ups are already suspecting the Uchiha," Kaitan murmured. "The Sharingan... such a powerful but troublesome gift."
Shenu frowned. "Do you think they had something to do with this?"
"I don't know," Kaitan admitted. "But tensions will rise. We need to tread carefully."
For now, their focus remained on helping Konoha rebuild. Despite the challenges ahead, Kaitan was determined to uphold the Will of Fire and protect his home.
