Chapter 530: They have nothing to do but accept it
The floor below was more controlled. Numerous powerful people were around, but none interfered in Matthew and his group's affairs.
Here, too, there was vending, but only for VIP dealings. At a single glance, Matthew could see ministers and nobles walking around here. Some were covered, but they wore ostentatious badges on their chests that showed they were of very high standing.
Not only people from this country but also from the other kingdoms were walking around. The main building in the background was one of the bases of the Richson Mafia. Being so rich and powerful, it naturally had great influence in the country. According to Egrand, Ead Richson controlled several noble families and numerous ministers and even greatly influenced the decisions of the crown.
As they walked through the small cave-city's long corridors, they encountered people who paid a certain respect to Egrand. Even some nobles approached to greet him.
Among those, an informant arrived.
"Lord Egrand, the leaders of the Organizations are coming to meet Lord Ead. May I know where he is? I have been looking for him and can't find him; I can't send him the message either because even the messenger bird can't find him." Whispered the informant.
Egrand nodded and looked slightly behind him. At Matthew's indifference, he spoke in a whisper as well. "Lord Ead will be here shortly. If you can't find him, it means he's very busy. Tell them to wait. A big fish came to visit him recently, and he needed to attend to it. That's all I can tell you." He replied, startling the man, who nodded slightly before hurrying off.
After that, he smiled at Matthew. "Lord, the great leaders of the underworld are here. Would you like to go see them? You don't need to show yourself..."
Matthew shook his head before he finished speaking. "No need. Let them have their meetings quietly. I already know what they're coming for, so you just need to guide me around the place, if possible, a cleaner place. It smells too much in here... Drug smell." He replied.
Egrand immediately apologized for it and took him somewhere else while introducing him to the place.
.
At the same time, in the main building for political and underworld meetings, Ead Richson was in front of four of his most loyal men—the treasurers of the Richson Mafia.
"We will be spending massive amounts of Pounds shortly. I want you to divide all the money we have available into 12 banking units; I have several trips to make."
The four looked at each other in shock, unable to understand why. "We got information that your house was attacked. Is it true? Who was it? You can speak freely here, Lord. We have high-tech isolators and important items. Since you came here, it means nothing bad happened to you. Could you see who attacked you?"
Ead Richson sighed. "We weren't attacked, I made a mistake. We've lost all of our trained snipers, so I'll need them replaced before the other mobs find out."
"W-What!? " They couldn't help but stutter when they heard this, and one of them almost fell over. He was the finance guy for the special forces, so he was in shock.
"How did we lose them? Impossible, those guys have been trained heavily since they were kids. It cost us a lot of money to buy them from the mountains, and we still have the contract with their respective clans."
Ead Richson sighed and even lowered his head. "I made a mistake. I touched a tiger I shouldn't have touched and that's why we lost a lot this time."
The four didn't know how to react, but seeing him lower his head, they had to sit down. "Sit down, Lord Ead. What happened? How many losses are there?"
Ead sat down and drank some tea. "We lost all the snipers but nothing else. The guns and all the money are still with us. It's just..." Ead sighed.
"What is it?"
"The mistake was bad, but at the same time it wasn't. I've met someone great, and he's become our main sponsor. With his help, forget about expanding to the entire Empire and Kingdom; we can easily expand to the entire world and swallow the rest of the mobs..."
"W-W-What?!"
"Is there anyone that good in our circle!?"
"A world expansion is not for games, Lord!"

"Are you serious!?"
The shout from the foursome came at the same time, but Ead knew it wasn't all roses, so he kept an apologetic expression.
"The problem is that I made a mistake against him, and now we're in his hands. Look for yourselves." He laid several documents on the table, which his four treasurers read quickly.
After they finished reading it, they understood what it was about.
Practically, the current owner of this land. They have witnessed firsthand that the Allen Clan, along with Matthew Dietrich, have expanded greatly in the Dark Kingdom, and it is only a matter of time before they lose several ministers if everything continues like this.
Although the Vampire Clans do not normally meddle in the affairs of the Mafias, they have the power to do so. The Mafias are powerful, but only in the sight of normal people or vampires outside the Vampire Clans. To those belonging to these giants, these Mafias are just an annoying bunch.
'This is dangerous, but...' Somehow, they understood this was not bad.
"It's not that bad, Lord Ead. The mistake was made, but I think we won instead of losing. If Matthew Dietrich sponsors us, do you know what that means? Rumors spreading among the curious of this world indicate that he might be a member of that legendary Clan. Being sponsored by him is more of a blessing than a curse." They replied, and Ead nodded.
"I know, I can see that too. The thing is, the first contract he was offering me benefited us enormously, since he just wanted to get rid of the ants that want to sting him. It was a contract that gave us an overwhelming advantage over everyone else. But now..."
"We'll be working for him, huh."
"That's right."
The four treasurers were silent for a moment. Ead didn't tell him about the other thing, as he wanted to keep it a secret until he confirmed certain things.
They analyzed the situation and looked at all the things Matthew needed to buy.
"We should start moving then. Any show of weakness to the Mafias that are right now hovering around us like flies is one more reason to be belittled and attacked. We'll have to empty the coffers to buy all this, but I think we can do it." Said one of them. He looked at his companion, who nodded to him.
"It's possible to buy it all, but that will leave us out of money for a while."
Another looked up. "Some of it we have in the mines, and I don't need that much cash flow to sustain me anymore, so just estimate all the money for that."
The other three nodded towards him, and that's when Ead spoke.
"Money will not be lacking; he will also give us money. But since we're here, why don't we tease these mobs a little? I have a way to steal large sums of money from them without them noticing. Look behind that sheet. Lord Matthew specifies that he will destroy those places, but nobody knows it. Why don't we use them to cheat them? The money we can get may be tens or hundreds of millions of pounds. That will give us breathing room, and we'll make a big profit." He suggested.
The guys' interest immediately peaked. They wondered why this man (Matthew) would give them that kind of information, but since they had it, they were going to take advantage of it.
Looking at the locations specified on a map, they realized that they were good places. At one point, they devised several strategies to "exploit" them.
"Haha, looks like things won't go so bad. If he will give us money and show us such an easy way to make money, I guess he is worthy of being the leader." They laughed a little, and after planning a few things, Ead Richson headed to the place where they were waiting for him, which was quite close to where he was.
