Powerful prowess

3 days went by in a flash,to Cassie this 3 days were more of a year than days,she stopped going to school and stayed at home, Sarah helped her take notes even if they weren't in the same class,today Mike called and looking at the number,Cassie had a little hope.

"Hell-"before he could complete his word,Cassie cut him off with a serious yet desperate tone "any news"..."yes, actually I found where the car was bought and who bought it,I contacted the person but he said that he had lost the car 2 years ago in a flood,the company also comfired his words with the insurance application" all through Cassie was silently listening,she couldn't help but wondered if she would no longer see her mom,she felt...empty but not sad"keep investigating,I haven't gotten any news from the police,let's depend on what we've gotten now" mike agrees with a him,he felt sympathetic towards Cassie,she was just too young to be going through this "were you able to track her phone?" Cassie asked as she looked down at the floor "I'm trying but it seems her phone has been disconnected"mike answer was what she sort of expected.

After talking to mike for a few minutes,they both hanged up, Cassie lays on the bed and just then one of the servants knocked, Cassie doesn't say anything so the maid announces from outside"miss Cassie, someone is here to see you"the door opens, Cassie stares at the maid for 3 seconds"who"the maid was in daze,she gulps before answering"he said you wouldn't come if he said his name,so I should tell you that he's your classmates"Cassie eyebrows furrowed,she was so annoyed by the disturbance,who could be tryin to trouble her,this was the period of mourning even if her mom wasn't dead yet they still couldn't find her,she sighs and walks past the maid,not saying a single word as she heads downstairs.

James had been pacing in the living room,he had gone to Cassie house but the house keeper said she was here, hearing the footstep from the stairs,James looks up as he sees Cassie decend,a smile takes over but Cassie was expressionless"what brings you here?" She hadn't even taken the last step of the stairs before asking,James cleared his throat"I heard what happened,how are you feeling"...'he seriously is asking,this freak thinks he can pull me in' Cassie thought as her face turns into one of being disgusted but doesn't waste a second before becoming expressionless, even if all this was quick,James didn't miss what she did,he was taken aback but hid it behind a smile"I'm managing,thanks"..."you're welcome"there was silence for a whole 30 seconds before James opened his mouth to speak but Cassie quickly interrupted"if that's all then please take your leave"
