"This Pokémon is..."

Chibana was clearly unfamiliar with this creature.

"That is the mythical Pokémon, Darkrai," Nero explained, recognizing its origin as the Champion Trainer of the Sinnoh Region.

Sensing the rising interest among the others, Cynthia continued:

"Darkrai, the Dark-type Pokémon, becomes active on the night of the new moon. It uses its power to lull others into a deep sleep filled with nightmares. This ability is a form of self-defense to drive intruders out of its territory."

"In villages near Canalave City, a story has been passed down through generations," Cynthia elaborated. "On moonless nights, villagers experienced collective nightmares featuring this Pokémon. Because of this, Darkrai is feared and revered as the 'Nightmare God.'"

After hearing the last part, the audience collectively gasped.

"'Nightmare God'... the name alone is terrifying!"

"Yes, and with that title and its status as a mythical Pokémon, it must be incredibly strong!"

"I wonder if it's stronger than the Legendary Birds of the Kanto Region," one person pondered.

"I think it might be," another replied.

**Rocket Team Headquarters, Kanto Region**

"Phantom Pokémon are both rare and powerful. With the title 'Nightmare God,' Darkrai is no ordinary Pokémon," mused Executive Archer.

"If it can truly manipulate dreams, it would make a powerful asset for Team Rocket," Ariana added, her interest piqued.

The name "Nightmare God" and Darkrai's haunting appearance sent chills through everyone present.

Then, the video showcasing Darkrai's battles began to play.

---

**In the Video**

[At the Black Gold Gym in the Sinnoh Region, a mysterious challenger with dark blue hair and piercing blue eyes arrived, cloaked in mystery. As the Gym Leader prepared for the battle, the challenger dramatically threw off his cloak and released a Poké Ball. A flash of light illuminated the arena as Darkrai materialized from the shadows.]

The audience was stunned to see a Trainer wielding a mythical Pokémon.

"That Trainer... has Darkrai?!"

Even The Dodo was astonished.

"Capturing a mythical Pokémon? This Trainer must be someone extraordinary," Wallace remarked.

Chibana, however, remained skeptical. "If it can be caught, then maybe Darkrai isn't as strong as it's made out to be."

Nero shook his head solemnly. "You're wrong, Chibana. You don't know the true terror of Darkrai."

He continued, "One year ago, Darkrai caused a massive nightmare incident in Canalave City. All the residents fell into a deep coma, creating a city-wide crisis. If not for the intervention of Cresselia, the situation might have escalated further."

"Cresselia?" Alder interjected, unfamiliar with the name.

"Cresselia is the Lunar Pokémon," Cynthia explained. "It's known as the embodiment of the new moon and is said to bring pleasant dreams. Holding one of its feathers during rest ensures a peaceful sleep. It's considered the counterpart to Darkrai, often referred to as the 'Dream God.'"

"Nightmare God and Dream God... the Sinnoh Region's mythical Pokémon sound extraordinary," Steven Stone remarked, impressed.

**The Video Continues**

[At the Black Gold Gym, the Gym Leader sent out Onix. However, Onix was quickly overwhelmed by Darkrai's Dark Void and Dream Eater combination, falling almost instantly. Graveler and Golem followed but fared no better.]

[In less than three minutes, the mysterious Trainer secured the Badge, leaving the audience in awe.]

Darkrai's dominance was only beginning.

[At Shirashiro Gym, Grass-type Pokémon were defeated in under three minutes. Veilstone Gym's Maylene, specializing in Fighting-types, also fell to Darkrai within ten minutes.]

[Only Hearthome Gym's Top Coordinator, Fantina, managed to battle Darkrai for nearly ten minutes. Even so, her Ghost-types ultimately succumbed to the relentless power of Dark Void and Dream Eater.]

So far, no Gym Leader in Sinnoh had been able to defeat Darkrai.

---

**Palace Gate Stadium Audience**

"This is insane! Darkrai is way too strong!"

"So many Gym Trainers couldn't even last ten minutes. The combination of Dark Void and Dream Eater is unbeatable!"

"Even Fantina, a Top Coordinator, couldn't stop Darkrai!"

The audience was in awe of Darkrai's unrelenting power, even making seasoned Trainers like Chibana uneasy.

---

**Sinnoh's Strongest Hope**

"There's still one Gym Leader left—Volkner from Sunyshore Gym!" an audience member reminded everyone.

"Volkner, the strongest Gym Leader in Sinnoh, might finally challenge Darkrai!"

"And if Darkrai uses a second Pokémon, what could it be?"

Speculation ran wild, with some jokingly suggesting a Magikarp or Caterpie.

---

**In the Video**

[Darkrai arrived at Sunyshore Gym, ready to face Volkner, the strongest Gym Leader in the Sinnoh Region. Initially, Volkner underestimated the challenger, sending out his usual Pokémon: Electivire, Luxray, and Raichu.]

[Despite their strength, these Electric-types couldn't defeat Darkrai. As the battle progressed, Darkrai finally revealed its second Pokémon.]

At this moment, the global audience held their breath.

---

**Palace Gate Stadium Audience**

"Oh my god, even Volkner can't defeat Darkrai! This Trainer is unstoppable!"

"Eight Sinnoh Gym Leaders, all defeated by Darkrai. What's going to happen at the Sinnoh League?!"

The power of the mythical Pokémon, Darkrai, was leaving an indelible mark, proving to be an insurmountable nightmare for Sinnoh's Gym Leaders.
