Pokemon :I spread All Over The World

Chapter 198: 185

Another bright afternoon.

"Currently, seventeen cities have started planting trees, and the construction of Pokémon Centers is underway. We've also selected medical staff for these centers."

In the rest area of Pokémon House, Ethan Ruan sipped his tea, smiling at Alex Gao.

"We've prioritized cities near Metro City. The business leaders in Dragon City are already urging us to hurry up, haha~"

Ethan was in an exceptionally good mood. The arrival of Pokémon had brought undeniable benefits to the country.

Rock and Ground-type Pokémon were proving invaluable in mining and construction work. Electric-type Pokémon were assisting in electrical maintenance. Even law enforcement had seen massive improvements, with Pokémon boosting efficiency.

In emergencies, Water-type Pokémon could put out fires before firefighters had to risk their lives.

And when it came to crime prevention...

A few weeks ago, a group of heavily armed foreign terrorists illegally entered the country. When confronted, they violently resisted arrest—until they saw police Pokémon in action.

They froze on the spot, terrified.

Ethan nearly choked laughing when he received the report.

He was genuinely grateful for Pokémon and for Alex Gao. Although Alex remained a mystery, the world was vast and full of unknowns. Was it really so strange for someone like him to exist?

Sure, Alex's background was unclear, but what mattered was that he meant no harm.

"It would be best if we could speed up the process," Alex replied calmly.

"We'd love to, but without Pokémon to assist, progress is slow. The country is just too big."

Ethan sighed.

As a senior official of the nation, he wanted Pokémon to be accessible to everyone. But with over 600 cities spread across 34 provinces, spanning 9.6 million square kilometers, rolling out Pokémon nationwide wasn't easy.

And then there were the unexplored wild areas—vast, mysterious, and dangerous.

Now, with Pokémon and medical technology from the Pokémon Centers, they could finally map out these unknown territories.

"Once we receive the fruit trees from you, we'll mobilize local residents to help with planting. That way, we can maximize efficiency.

"As for the wild forests, we'll send teams to create detailed maps and form the best planting strategy."

Ethan was determined. This was the top priority.

Once Pokémon were fully integrated into the country, they would become an undeniable global superpower.

And if a certain neighboring country tried anything...

Ethan's eyes darkened. He had already heard whispers about movements from Sakura Island and Bangzi Nation.

If they dared to step out of line...

Well, the country had plenty of land—adding a couple more cities wouldn't be too troublesome.

Sakura City and Bangzi City had a nice ring to them, didn't they?

"Secretary Ruan, you've worked hard. Be especially careful in selecting medical staff. The Pokémon Centers are crucial."

Alex smiled, offering a friendly reminder. The staff at Metro City's Pokémon Center had quickly become beloved figures online, even earning the nickname "Angels in Pink."

Of course, that was partly because their uniforms—identical to those from the Pokémon games—had been specially designed by Alex himself.

If they were going to have a real-world Nurse Joy, the outfits had to be accurate!

"Rest assured, Mr. Gao, we're taking this very seriously," Ethan responded with a smile.

He understood how vital the Pokémon Centers were—after all, they were essentially hospitals for Pokémon.

"At the current pace, nationwide preparations should take about three to four months."

"That's a perfectly acceptable timeline," Alex nodded, satisfied. It was about what he had expected.

"Also, we'll be sending teams to buy Pokémon from you. Expect a high number of purchases."

"That's great news. No worries, I'll offer special discounts for officials."

Alex chuckled. Not that he minded—this was an inevitable step.

The government had witnessed firsthand the benefits of his Pokémon. The Metro City Tournament alone had proven that trainers who bought from Pokémon House were consistently stronger than the rest.

Those who started with Pokémon from Alex held a clear early advantage.

"We appreciate it, Mr. Gao."

Ethan laughed.

Funding all these initiatives wasn't cheap. Building arenas, training centers, Pokémon Centers, and Pokémon Stores across the country had already drained a massive amount of resources.

And now, purchasing Pokémon for police officers in hundreds of cities? That was another enormous expense.

Would the treasury even have any money left afterward?

Ethan sighed internally.

They might need to have a "friendly discussion" with some of the nation's wealthiest elites. Surely, they wouldn't just sit by and do nothing?

Meanwhile, on the East China Sea

A wild Tentacruel loomed over the waters, its countless tentacles swaying ominously.

On the shore stood Pupitar, facing off against it.

Tentacruel's tentacles twitched, gathering energy—then, a ray of sparkling Bubble Beam shot through the air toward Pupitar.

"Pupitar! Rock Slide!"

Wearing a pair of beach shorts, Chris Yuen shouted the command.

Pupitar roared, summoning large boulders that crashed forward to meet the Bubble Beam.

Boom!

The two attacks clashed violently, but within moments, Bubble Beam shattered the rocks and struck Pupitar directly.

Pupitar cried out in pain, knocked back by the powerful water attack.

"Pupitar!"

Chris frowned and rushed over, spraying an Advanced Potion on Pupitar's wounds.

Tentacruel remained still, watching with its unblinking eyes.

Once Pupitar recovered slightly, Chris sighed.

"Thanks for sparring with us, Tentacruel. We owe you."

He opened a box of Water-type Energy Cubes and poured them into a dish, setting it before Tentacruel.

The giant jellyfish let out a pleased hum, wrapping its tentacles around the cubes and happily munching away.

Chris chuckled.

Despite their intimidating appearance, even wild Pokémon could be adorable at times.

The sound of an approaching speedboat interrupted his thoughts.

Stepping off was Edward, who walked toward him with a grin.

"Hey, Chris. How's the special training going?"

"Not great," Chris admitted.

"Water attacks are just too hard on Pupitar."

To prepare for the final battle against Olivia, Chris had come to the East China Sea to train against Water-type Pokémon.

This Tentacruel had been a tough but willing sparring partner.

Chris had been trying to increase Pupitar's resistance to Water attacks, but progress was slow.

Even now, just two Bubble Beams from Tentacruel were enough to knock Pupitar out.

Sure, it had improved—but not by much.

"Oh~ Chris, be serious. You're actually gonna use a four-times-weak-to-Water Pupitar against Olivia?"

Edward raised an eyebrow.

"You have Ursaring, Lairon, and Steelix—why risk using Pupitar?"

Chris sighed.

"I know, but I had to at least try. If I had more time for special training, maybe Pupitar would stand a chance…"

Edward shrugged.

"Well, it's your funeral."

He then smirked.

"By the way, I saw something interesting earlier. You might wanna check it out."

Chris raised an eyebrow.

"What kind of 'interesting'?"

Edward pointed east.

"Looks like some… suspicious people. I don't know if 'poachers' is the right word, but they're from that country you don't like."

Chris narrowed his eyes.

The east of the East China Sea...

That meant Sakura Island.

"Well, well… looks like someone got too comfortable."

A wicked grin spread across his face.
