Otaku Witch

Chapter 244: 217. The Red Planet of Doom

There was silence throughout the night...

Early the next day, Dorothy left the Tower of Shine alone, eager to find the Faith Series teacher that Sophia had arranged for her to learn from.

As she was setting out to seek mentorship, she decided to go alone this time rather than inviting others to accompany her, as it seemed somewhat impolite to visit for the first time in a large group.

She and Senior Mia, along with Audrey, had agreed to meet in the afternoon to gather at the club's location.

After all, the club had been established, but the club site was still in ruins; it was time to start rebuilding.

As for construction materials, there wasn't much of a problem. Although they hadn't managed to get materials yesterday due to the disruption caused by the Moon Rabbit, the Moon Rabbit World was lacking everything except for construction materials. After all, the outer wilderness was full of abandoned buildings and plenty of secondhand materials.

Dorothy had casually brought back a batch of materials when she reshaped the world yesterday; one must say, the Moon Rabbit truly lived up to the Silver Species' reputation for quality materials from their prosperous times.

Plus, Senior Mia had said she would bring some furniture and materials over today, so that should be enough.

While thinking about how she would build her own little sky island in the afternoon, Dorothy rode her broom through the sky.

Since she had no pressing matters that morning and wasn't in a hurry, she preferred lazily flying on her broom rather than suffering through using a teleportation circle.

However, as she flew, she realized that the broom she was riding was really not up to par. No helping it, since it was a cheaper one she'd bought to save money.

Seeing that she might have to fly for several hours to get to the Eleventh District at this rate, Dorothy decided to speed up a bit.

"Fafnir,"

she softly called out to the little juvenile dragon lying on her right shoulder, who was originally dozing off. Fafnir opened her eyes and gave her master a look.

"Little one, you've gotten fat from all the eating and sleeping. Come on, let's get a little exercise,"

the homebody witch commented, eyeing the rather delicate and pretty juvenile dragon.

"Roar..."

Feeling protested by her master calling her fat, Fafnir let out a dragon roar, as being fat was a taboo for her, being a female dragon. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire

However, when Dorothy casually conjured an ice mirror in front of the juvenile dragon, Fafnir stared at the round dragon body in the mirror and her dragon eyes bulged.

"Roar..."

The juvenile dragon let out a scream of alarm.

Buster, on Dorothy's left shoulder, was startled by his sister's scream. The little kitten thought there had been an attack and bristled, only then to see the ice mirror which looked like a funhouse mirror.

"Stare..."

The little kitten's eyes widened, staring at her master. As a psychic magic wand that had grown up alongside Dorothy, Buster was obviously much smarter than her dragon sister and not so easily fooled.

But when Dorothy winked at the little kitten, a smile also appeared on Buster's cute cat face.

Well, what bad thoughts could a little kitty possibly have?

"Meow... Awooo..." (Wow, little sister, you've really ballooned into a ball.)

"Awooo..." (No, don't.)

The poor Juvenile Dragon couldn't go back to sleep after hearing what her cat sister said; she immediately climbed off Dorothy's shoulder, ready to jump down and exercise.

But the homebody witch held onto her dragon tail and then pointed to the broom between her legs.

"Try armorization, it's quick for losing weight."

After all, Fafnir was still too small; her armorization was somewhat insufficient for Dorothy at the current stage, as its defensive power was not even as high as her own Magic Shield, and she couldn't fully armorize yet, only able to transform into those large-scale, flesh-revealing, benefit armor like in the games of her previous life.

Although the homebody witch quite enjoyed seeing other girls in such revealing armor, she would rather not wear it herself. Therefore, until Fafnir could transform into full heavy armor, Dorothy had no plans to let her armorize for herself.

However, although Fafnir was not efficient as armor right now, she could still assist quite well, just like now.

After hearing her master's command, the little Juvenile Dragon believed it and transformed into a beam of light that clung to Dorothy's broom.

When the flash of magic faded, the originally plain broom under Dorothy had completely changed its appearance.

Black metallic scale armor was attached to the broom, with bright red strange patterns twinkling on the surface of the scales; the broom's head bore the form of a dragon's head, while the tail extended into two exaggerated wing-like tailfins that resembled Fafnir's wings.

Dorothy could even distinctly feel an extra layer of a soft cushion beneath her, which was definitely a plus, given that riding the original broom was somewhat uncomfortable directly, necessitating an added layer of a magic cushion. However, those magical cushions were never as comfortable as the real thing.

"Wow, this is quite dashing, it has the vibe of those flying race participants' modified brooms; if Alice sees this, she might die of envy,"

Looking at the drastically altered broom between her legs, Dorothy thought to herself.

However, if it was only about looks, it wouldn't be fun. The homebody witch glanced around the environment, preparing to test the speed of the armorized broom.

She had left home early today, and witches generally have a habit of sleeping in, so the streets were nearly empty at the moment, really perfect for speeding. Seeing this, Dorothy didn't hold back. She bent her body down, leaning forward with both hands tightly gripping the two dragon horn handles extended from the dragon head.

"So woohoo..."

After reciting her Flight Spell mantra once more, a surge of wild magic power burst forth, forming nine crimson fire streams of magic erupting from the back of her broom—the thickest main fire stream was the original broom's tail, and four smaller fire streams emerged from each of the tailfins.

At this moment, the Exotic beings working early on the islands below witnessed a red comet slash through the sky and streak away.

"Damn it, Fafnir, slower, slower, it's speeding, really speeding, we're going to die..."

Only after the comet had faded into the distance did these desperate screams slowly drift through the air.

That day, the Magic Web Campus Forum saw the emergence of a legend called the Red Comet. The post was made by the Club President of the Inky Feather News Agency, who had always been known as the king of academic speed racing.

"This morning, at the academy, I lost to someone. She used screaming to speed up, and her speed was really fast, but she didn't know my photo-snapping speed was faster. Unfortunately, my camera wasn't that great, and in the end, I only captured a blurry afterimage filled with grimaces. If anyone knows who she is, please tell her that I'll be waiting at the old place tomorrow morning."

Once this post was out, the academic speed flying group quickly followed suit, pushing it to hot status.

As for the person involved...

...Dorothy got swept away in the speed...
