Otaku Witch

Chapter 153: 135. Such Prestige

After the commotion with the Little Angel, Dorothy's gaze hadn't left the main stage, for after the new student representative's speech, it would be the Student Council President's turn to give her address.

Honestly, Dorothy really wasn't interested in these leadership speech segments; she had almost dozed off listening to the Little Angel's presentation, but Sophia was her roommate after all. Out of the friendship formed under the same roof, Dorothy felt obliged to show some courtesy.

Therefore, the Homebody Witch cast a series of ten Spiritual Invigoration Spells on herself.

"Hmm, this should make it foolproof. Even if the upcoming speech is boring, I shouldn't fall asleep," Dorothy thought to herself while feeling extremely spirited due to the effects of the spells.

Just as she had this thought, infinite Holy Light suddenly cascaded from the sky above the main stage, piercing through the clouds with its blinding brilliance and bathing the ground in columns of light.

Then, one after another, Feathers of Light began to descend from the clouds like heavy snowfall, and the ethereal sound of a Holy Song sung in unison echoed through the heavens...

Eventually, a deafening bell sound dispersed the thick clouds, revealing the Holy Divine Sky Palace above them.

Surrounded by All Angels, a Sky Ladder made of rays of light twisted down from the towering peak, and numerous Guardian Angels wearing shining silver Battle Armor and carrying Judgment Longspears stood proudly on both sides of the ladder.

They then struck their weapons in unison, and after, knelt on one knee, welcoming the arrival of their king.

And so, a tremendous divine might descended from the heavens, from the majestic Shrine atop the towering peak glowing like the Sun, a Pure White Angel with six wings on her back slowly stepped down the stairs, one level at a time.

Although her figure was backlit and her modest stature was somewhat obscured by the blinding Holy Light from the Heavenly Palace behind her, Dorothy recognized the person's identity at a glance—it was her roommate, the Student Council President of Witch Academy—Sophia.

"Ah, well, that's quite the entry; you're already so high-profile before you even arrive as a Great Witch. Is this really okay?" Dorothy couldn't help but mutter to herself, watching her roommate with such an elaborate entrance.

If the Angel Witch was already so bold now, what would happen when she became a Great Witch, or even a Peak Witch, or ascended to become a Sage? Who could dare imagine that?

Dorothy, who had always preferred a low profile and aspired to be an ordinary little witch, couldn't help but shake her head.

I guess this is just a matter of personal character differences; after all, compared to making such a splash, she still favored the idea that simplicity was the true essence of life.

However, when she recalled how Sophia usually looked at home, washing dishes in her pink fluffy bunny apron, and compared it to the deity-like Pure White Angel descending from the sky right now, Dorothy felt momentarily disoriented. The stark contrast between these two intense images made her unsure which was the true face of the Angel Witch.

One thing was for certain, though: Sophia was truly dazzling at the moment.

Dorothy figured this must be what her mother, Euphilia, meant when she spoke about the demeanor befitting a king, back when they first arrived at the academy.

A so-called king should be an example for the people to follow; she should shine brighter than anyone else, be more powerful than anyone else, more extravagant than anyone else...

In doing so, she would become a beacon in the night, naturally drawing others to follow in her footsteps, like moths to a flame, forging ahead. Experience tales at empire

Even though Dorothy didn't quite agree with her mother's definition of a king, she had to admit that Sophia, who had inherited her mother's ideals, truly looked stunning and majestic, so inspirational that one couldn't help wanting to follow her and achieve great feats together.

And clearly, this wasn't just Dorothy's personal epiphany—as proven by the cheers that now filled the entire world.

"Ah, it's Lady Sophia, she's really so cool and beautiful..."

"President, I want to be your dog."

"President, you are my idol..."

.....

Even though the grand auditorium of the academy was segmented into box seats as if cutting through spatial dimensions, theoretically, each box was a considerable distance from the others, just as if you were on the summit of Mount Everest while she was on the slopes of Mount Olympus.

Although everyone was indeed in the same world, the distance should have been so vast that they were effectively isolated from each other.

However, at this moment, as Sophia made her official entrance, Dorothy could clearly hear the earth-shattering cheers, the collective shout of millions of little witches attending the opening ceremony resonating with magic power that literally spread throughout the entire world.

While Dorothy had always known that her roommate, being the Student Council President, was quite beloved, she was still somewhat surprised by the current situation, even with her mental preparation.

Geez, no wonder I became the hot topic on the academy forum just because of a little rumor related to her. This popularity is indeed terrifying.

Dorothy had thought that her persona as a lady of noble status was somewhat of a celebrity at Witch Academy, but now Sophia made her understand what true top-tier academy prestige looked like.

It's no wonder that the rumors about Sophia becoming the next Academy Head were believed by so many. With her level of popularity, if she didn't deny it herself, people would just think she was being modest. Even if she truly didn't want the position, she might end up being crowned by the masses anyway.

"Silence."

The King of the Six-Winged Angels, descending from the heavens, finally landed on the main stage. Faced with the tsunami of cheers, she simply uttered two words.

And then, the whole world fell silent, plunging into dead calm.

That caused Dorothy to fall silent once more.

She could tell that Sophia hadn't used the word spirit power of the Angels. That meant she had simply used a sentence to turn those fervent little witches into well-behaved children.

This was not magic, just personal authority alone.

Ah, even the famously obedient top-tier Battle Groups couldn't do much better.

"Hiss, Dorothy, your roommate has got some real skills. Although Angels are indeed known for taming all creatures, this is a bit over the top."

Even Hat Senior Sister, perched above, seemed somewhat startled now. She lowered a small, mouth-tipped tentacle to Dorothy's ear and whispered so.

"Damn it, how come such an excellent talent is your loyal dog? Even I, the King of the Future, don't have one. Why do you?"

Just thinking about such an outstanding talent having just expressed loyalty to her own Master, Hat Senior Sister sounded quite sour.

However, at this moment, Dorothy appeared too lazy to pay attention to the lemon-flavored hat; her eyes shone brightly as she watched the Six-Winged Angel on stage, waiting for her performance.

... Angel Witch speech in progress.....
