Chapter 83: Chapter 81 Confrontation Of Top Power
Aizen maintained a calm, collected expression as Ryder's umbrella sword danced in the air.
"You can fight with your hands and feet loose," Aizen remarked with a slight smile, the corners of his lips lifting just a little. He didn't need to say more; he already knew Ryder's movements.
"However, this isn't the right place for such a fight. Are you interested in changing the venue?" Aizen's gaze flicked to the growing crowd of onlookers. He wasn't worried about the damage around him, but about how best to subdue Ryder without interference.
"Sorry. No interest," Ryder replied flatly, his tone icy.
Aizen's smile never faltered. "Really? It seems I'll have to take you elsewhere."
Before Ryder could even react, Aizen vanished in an instant, appearing directly in front of him as though teleporting. With fluid motion, Aizen reached out and seized Ryder's face with one hand.
**BOOM!**
The impact was sudden and brutal. Ryder had no time to prepare himself as he was hurled into the air, his body shooting forward at a terrifying speed.
"What—!" Ryder's thoughts were scrambled as he tried to make sense of what had just happened. The wind whipped around him, and he realized that Aizen's speed was something entirely beyond his comprehension.
Before Ryder could gather himself, Aizen slammed him into the ground.
**BOOM!**
The force of the impact created an explosion of dust, and the ground beneath Ryder cracked violently. His body left a deep imprint, blood dripping from his leg where he had been forced to land awkwardly.
Aizen hovered above the devastation, his calm presence contrasting sharply with the chaotic scene below. "I found an uninhabited island nearby, away from the Sabaody Archipelago. No one will bother us there," Aizen said, his voice as serene as ever.
Ryder, stunned, could only focus on the pain. His thoughts raced.
*No wonder Aizen could defeat Golden Lion so easily… His strength surpasses even Whitebeard's.* Ryder felt a shock of realization. But confusion followed. Aizen had clearly outclassed him, and yet, he hadn't finished him off immediately. Why go through all this trouble?
As Aizen spoke, Ryder's attention snapped back to the present. "You've clearly grown stronger. But what is your goal, Aizen?" Ryder asked, the question heavy in his mind.
Aizen smiled faintly. "Let's just say… I prefer a more interesting challenge."
With a mere flick of his wrist, a bolt of lightning appeared in Aizen's hand, a violent surge of Reiatsu coiling around his form. Ryder's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the power in the air—this would be no simple fight.
Meanwhile, the sound of their battle began to reverberate throughout the Sabaody Archipelago. The aftermath of their clash had caught the attention of those nearby. Through telescopes, they watched as the massive shockwaves threatened to tear the island apart.
"Is this… the true level of power?" Zhiyuan muttered as she observed the battle. She lowered her telescope, feeling a twinge of frustration. *This level of battle is beyond me… but there must be a way to contribute.*
Quickly, she retrieved her transponder snail, dialing Naval Headquarters in a frantic attempt to get help. The battle was escalating quickly, and with the proximity to Marine forces, they could be here in an hour or less.
Back at the fight, the two clashed again. Aizen's Reiatsu collided with Ryder's Armament Haki, sending shockwaves through the air.
The result was immediate—Ryder was knocked back several steps, sliding through the ground, leaving deep gouges in the earth beneath him.
Aizen smiled, his calm demeanor unshaken. "Melee combat isn't my strength, but I am more than capable of handling it when necessary. As for you… your swordsmanship is impressive, but it won't be enough to overcome me."
Ryder struggled to rise to his feet, his body battered, but his determination burning. *He's stronger than I thought… but I can't give up now. I'll make him regret this.*
