I was shocked due to the terrible taste of the devil fruit I gulped but what threw me off was the fact that I just ate a devil fruit in a way no one thought could have been possible however both my grandpas were more shocked than me , especially grandpa garp who made me hang upside down the next half an hour so I can spew the devi fruit out which unfortunately didn't work...ahem fortunately or not who knows, maybe I should check the system to see if it has any info on my new devil fruit.

THIRD PERSON POV
Vihaan took a deep breath and clenched his fists. "Alright, let's try some random stuff."
First, he jumped off a crate, expecting to fly. Instead, he landed face-first in the dirt. "Not flight… Got it."
Next, he swung his arm forward, hoping for a shockwave or maybe fire. Nothing. He tried again, this time screaming as he did it. Still nothing.
"Maybe I can turn invisible?" He squeezed his eyes shut and concentrated. After a minute, he peeked—no change. "Damn, that would've been cool."
After a few minutes of Vihaan trying random bullshit his system booted on itself scaring him and making him fall backward as he curiously reads about his fruits powers.
Host , I have calibrated your devil fruits powers and name here it is.
User gains control over light and darkness, allowing him to switch between them at will. However, his power starts at a rudimentary level—he can only absorb small amounts of light or darkness to create minor effects, such as dimming an area or making his hand glow faintly.
I have divided you devil fruit powers into 4 phases for the host's benefit
Phase One - Eclipse Shift
At this stage, Host's body begins to harness the opposing forces of light and darkness, but he lacks full control over them. His first ability, Eclipse Shift, allows him to momentarily "flicker" between pure light and pure darkness.
Light Phase: When the host shifts into light, his body becomes semi-intangible instantly, allowing him to slip past attacks or phase through thin obstacles. However, he cannot attack while in this state, as his body is too unstable to generate force.
Dark Phase: When he shifts into darkness, his body absorbs surrounding light, momentarily increasing his density and making him more resistant to physical attacks. However, this slows him down, making dodging much harder.
Since Vihaan is still learning, the transitions between these phases are clunky and exhausting. He can only maintain each shift for half a second at most before his body forces him back to normal. Additionally, shifting too often in a short period makes him feel disoriented, causing temporary nausea or blurry vision.
Once host masters phase I can further explain phase 2,3,4.

"Yo Vihaan how are you"Gramps suddenly says scaring me as I accidentally close the system "I am fine gramps trying to figure out my new devil fruit powers, btw grandpa I can't swim now can I?" ask him to sound a bit genuine about being unknowing
"Yes you can't Vihaan by the way have you seen Luffy , I wanna shower him with some fists of love for eating my crackers"Gramps says rotating his right arm
Uhh gramps Idk but he went near the deck is all I know but gramps can you wait with me for 5 minutes I want to ask you 2 questions" I ask him while using my current most powerful move- puppy eyes "Fine ask me those questions Vihaan , what are you waiting for?" "Gramps when do we go back to marineford?"I ask while tilting my neck.
"We will start sailing for 2 days after detaining all prisoners and helping some civilians"Grandpa said while digging his nose "Ok so gramps can you tell me how I can get faster though Luffy always beats me in speed" "Bwahahahahaha , you already want to get better , you are definitely my grandson , and since you want to improve your speed I do have an idea , its 2pm right now right?" He suddenly grabs me by the shirt and takes me to a forest full of wild animals dropping there* Now run from them Vihaan I will see you at 8"He casually says leaving a stunned me surround by wild beasts "Grandpa you want to kill me or something?!"I shout at him as he just laughs and gets out of my view. I look back down and realise my predicament , I am stuck with wild animals arr around , my reflexes need to be on hyper active mode if I have to be alive till 8pm , how the fuck does grandpa garp think it is a genius idea to drop a 4 year old in the middle of a forest filled with wild animals , ohh wait there is this stick nearby.
I pick the stick and get ready to fight.
Suddenly, the bushes shook. Not one, but two wild animals stepped out, their eyes glowing in the dim light.And one of them diving in from the top.I suddenly had the urge to go crazy against them.
It was a wolf , a bear and a eagle , all I had to do was escape these 3 and then climb a tree.That was my plan because I don't wanna die improving my speed.
The wolf leapt at me, teeth bared. WHACK! I swung my stick low, sweeping its legs. The wolf stumbled, surprised. Before it could recover, I jumped over its back, using it like a rock to launch myself away , not before hitting it on the head once to make it faint.
But before I could take a break ,the bear swung a huge paw at me.I ducked, but the ground shook under its power. Thinking fast, I jabbed my stick into the ground, using it to vault over the bear's arm!
Before landing, I kicked a pile of dust into the bear's eyes!
The bear roared, blinded.I rolled away before it could swing again.
But suddenly the eagle swooped down, claws flashing. I held my stick up, but the bird was too fast.
Instead of blocking,I pretended to fall, tricking the eagle into diving lower.
Then—SMACK! I swung my stick in a spinning motion, tapping the eagle's wing just enough to throw it off balance.
The bird flapped wildly and ended up crashing into the wolf trying to jump back on me its beak entering the wolfs neck killing it instantly and making it stuck there too.
I use way more various methods to escape countless birds and animals for the next 2 days , after which I could feel pretty stronger.However it was time to leave for marineford.

THAT IS IT FOR THE DAY GUYS , NEXT WEEK PLANNING TO DROP 2 MORE CHAPTERS I WILL TRY TO FINISH ONE BY TODAY AND IF I REACH 150 COLLECTIONS , I WILL POST IT ASAP NEXT CHAPTER DF NAME REVEAL , RETURN TO MARINEFORD AND MORE!!!!!!
