One Piece: Marine Luffy, Garp regrets it

As Black Maria descended from the ship, her gaze landed on Kaido, who was swaying unsteadily on the shore. Without missing a beat, she stepped forward to support him, her hand gently gripping his arm. Her voice was soft and coaxing, contrasting sharply with Kaido's imposing presence.

"Lord Kaido, have you had a bit too much to drink?" she asked, her tone sweet. "If you're tipsy, it might be best not to talk business with Little Doffy just yet."

Doflamingo's eye twitched at the name Doffy Dover, but he kept his face carefully composed. Black Maria, as one of the Tobiroppo, had a close relationship with Kaido, and he knew better than to interrupt her casual remark.

But Kaido reacted immediately, shaking off Black Maria's hand with surprising force. "Who said I'm drunk?!" he roared, his voice echoing over the island. "I only had a few sips to honor my fallen subordinate, Jack! Don't say such foolish things!"

"Yes, yes~ of course, sir," Black Maria replied with a gentle smile, calming him with the same tone one might use to soothe an irritable child. Kaido snorted, finally settling down, though his face remained red from drink.

Seeing the opportunity to ease the tension, Doflamingo quickly intervened. "Ms. Black Maria," he said smoothly, "I've arranged a banquer here. Please, bring Mr. Kaido to join us. But if he'd prefer, I can provide a quiet room for him to rest first."

Black Maria tilted her head, her eyes curving in polite amusement. She was fully aware of Doflamingo's influence and importance as a partner to the Beasts Pirates, yet she could never quite resist the thrill of holding even a slight edge over him.

"Oh, thank you, Mr. Doflamingo," she replied graciously. "A banquet would be lovely. I'm sure it will lift Lord Kaido's spirits."

Doflamingo led them to a spacious outdoor setup he had constructed on Green Bit specifically for this reception. In a nod to Wano's style, he had arranged small tables for each guest, aiming to respect Kaido's cultural ties. He placed Kaido and Black Maria at the head table, while he took the first seat to Kaido's right. The Tobiroppo members, Who's-Who and Sasaki, were seated to Kaido's left, with other ranks following in descending order of importance. The Beasts Pirates filled the inner seats, while lower-ranking members and additional guests occupied tables arranged in a wide outer circle, mingling with Doflamingo's subordinates and Dressrosa dancers hired to entertain.

As soon as they were seated, Kaido wasted no time. He bypassed any formalities and immediately grabbed the oversized sake bowl in front of him, looking expectantly at Black Maria. She smiled and poured him a generous helping, indulging him as he guzzled the alcohol with gusto.

The rest of the Beasts Pirates quickly followed suit, grabbing their cups and clinking them together noisily as they began their own feast. Their rowdy behavior clashed with Doflamingo's typically sophisticated gatherings, and some of his subordinates were visibly irritated at their lack of manners. Their voices grew louder, and laughter erupted as they bantered without a care, treating the prestigious reception like a night out at a tavern.

One of Doflamingo's younger officers, Buffalo, who had a fan-like hairstyle and Spin-Spin Fruit powers, leaned in and whispered to the person beside him, his face wrinkled in distaste. "So, these are the Beasts Pirates? Not only is their captain a drunken brute, but his crew is a bunch of unrefined fools."

The quiet comment barely left Buffalo's lips before the entire banquet fell into an abrupt silence. Doflamingo's eyes widened, his smile freezing as he registered the ripple of tension that now crackled through the air. He felt the blood drain from his face and cursed inwardly, realizing the danger of his subordinate's careless words.

A few seats away, Doflamingo's other officers, including Baby 5 and Machvise, exchanged uneasy glances and subtly shifted their chairs away from Buffalo, sensing trouble. They barely had time to react before a figure appeared at Buffalo's side: Who's-Who, one of the Tobiroppo, his eyes cold and hard beneath his red mask. Without a word, he reached out, driving his fingers into Buffalo's chest with terrifying speed and force.

Blood spurted as Who's-Who ripped his hand back, his fingers dripping with crimson. Buffalo's eyes widened in horror, his face pale with shock as he struggled to breathe, collapsing to the ground in a heap.

The silence was absolute. Doflamingo's officers stared, caught between fear, fury, and disbelief. Even among Kaido's crew, there were murmurs of dissatisfaction as some questioned why Who's-Who hadn't gone further, expressing disappointment that Buffalo was still alive.

Who's-Who, unfazed by the blood on his hand, shook it off, his tone cold and unfeeling as he turned to Doflamingo. "Keep your subordinates in line, Joker," he said flatly. "Next time, I won't stop at his chest."

For a split second, rage flashed across Doflamingo's face. No one insulted him or his familiy like this, and the urge to retaliate surged through him. But he quickly suppressed it, forcing himself to maintain composure. Confronting Kaido's crew here and now would only lead to disaster, and he knew it.

With a forced calm, Doflamingo nodded to the attendants standing nearby. "What are you standing around for?" he snapped, his voice steely. "Get this fool out of here."

The maids, visibly shaken, hurried over to Buffalo, who lay sprawled and bleeding. With great effort, five or six of them managed to lift his large frame and drag him out, their movements hurried and unsteady.
