----------

Time passed slowly.

There is no day or night in Impel Down.

Ever since Akira came here, he hasn't left again.

There hasn't been any matter from Marine headquarters that requires his attention, only officers occasionally sending over strange reports, and he'd deliberately check the situation when he returns.

Akira's obsession to become stronger is immense.

The powerhouses in Eternal Hell have a strong desire for women.

The two sides hit it off.

These monsters helped Akira strengthen his Conqueror's Haki.

Akira arranged for some women from the Pleasure District to comfort them after each session.

Of course.

Since it's about improving his Haki, Akira suppressed his emperor-level speed to match the level of the monsters, ensuring the training is effective.

Akira also carefully selected his sparring partners.

He avoided choosing anyone obviously stronger than himself, like Patrick Redfield, who might escape from prison if released.

To be cautious, he stationed dozens of powerful replicas at the entrance and exit.

Besides, as someone just starting with Armament Haki, what he needed most were opponents slightly stronger than him in Haki to gradually improve.

Instead of jumping straight into the hardest challenges.

Impel Down, Fifth Floor, Freezing Hell.

Bang bang!

Rumble.

In the bone-chilling cold of a snowy day, two figures collided rapidly.

Both fists coated in Armament Haki, trading blows.

It was clear that as the battle's intensity rose, one side's originally weak Armament Haki was gradually growing stronger.

"Fleet Admiral, this is my strongest move."

"Taste this, Wolf's Slash."

The imprisoned pirate's fists suddenly transformed, his five fingers spreading wide into wolf claws.

Under the power of Armament Haki, his fingertips cut through the air, making sharp waves.

Akira's muscles tensed, and he instinctively wanted to dodge, but he remembered the purpose of his training and planted his feet firmly, grounding himself.

"Armament!"

As the attack drew closer, Akira narrowed his eyes slightly.

But he still didn't move, focusing all his Armament Haki into his arms.

As the pirate's attack approached, Akira felt a surge, realizing he could now gather even more Haki than before.

Boom!

A huge explosion echoed through the icy surroundings.

A gust of wind burst from the point of impact between Akira and the pirate, blowing away the surrounding snow.

Akira and the pirate were locked in a stalemate.

"It shouldn't be possible. With the strength you showed before, this attack should've been unstoppable."

The pirate panted heavily, disbelief in his eyes. But then he noticed the sheen of Akira's Armament Haki on his arm, more translucent and refined than before, and suddenly understood.

"Your Armament Haki... it's broken through."

[Ding, congratulations to Host! Armament Haki has advanced to elite level.]

At the same time, a system notification rang in Akira's mind.

The corner of Akira's mouth twitched slightly in satisfaction.

The system's prompts showed that these abilities could indeed be trained manually.

While it only took 100 experience points to advance from ordinary to elite level Armament Haki, spending so much time and effort on training seemed excessive for such small gains.

But what if he continued to train his Armament Haki to reach the monster level?

In that case, the experience points saved would total 1,100.

Besides, even if he wasn't here to train, he'd just be wasting time back at headquarters.

Akira had already done everything necessary to suppress the Great Pirate Era, and now it was simply a matter of waiting for time to do its work.

If he didn't come to Impel Down to train now, his only alternative would be to focus his energy on Stella.

After thinking it over, Akira figured it was better to fight big pirates—both to improve his Haki and hone his combat skills.

He didn't want to rely solely on the system, turning into someone who couldn't grow without it.

And with the ultimate mission requiring him to subdue the mysterious Imu, it made sense to save experience points for physical improvement.

As for his other abilities, it was crucial to train and refine them over time, making them truly his own.

"Continue!" Akira shouted, pushing forward with full force and driving the pirate back.

But in the next moment, the pirate collapsed to the ground, exhausted.

"No more, Fleet Admiral... I'm done," the pirate gasped.

"Already? That's no fun."

Akira frowned slightly. There was no use in continuing to push when his opponent was too worn out to fight back.

"Looks like it's time to release someone stronger," he thought.

With his Armament Haki now at an elite level, Akira knew he'd need stronger opponents to keep improving.

Only those with more power would have the stamina to engage him in real, challenging battles.

"My lord, my lord!"

A soldier's figure appeared in the distance, running toward Akira and calling out.

"What is it?"

When the soldier reached him, Akira asked calmly.

"The pirate you asked us to monitor—Charlotte Katakuri—he's agreed!" the soldier reported breathlessly.

Akira's eyes lit up.

After so many days of carefully presenting his case, Katakuri had finally been convinced.

"Take him away," Akira ordered, gesturing toward the exhausted pirate on the ground, before striding toward the exit.

"Hey, Fleet Admiral, don't forget my reward!" the pirate called weakly, still stretched out on the ground.

Akira's figure vanished into the wind and snow.

Seeing that the Fleet Admiral had ignored him, the soldier locked the seastone shackles on the pirate and reassured him, "Don't worry, your reward is waiting for you in your cell."

"Halalalala!"

The pirate burst into laughter, tears and snot flowing down his face. "Do you know how many years it's been since I've touched a woman?"

"Thirty years, a full thirty years!"

"Tonight, I'm going to make up for all of it in one go!"

The soldier remained calm, unfazed by the outburst.

In Eternal Hell, Akira frowned as he approached Katakuri's cell.

The smell in the air was unbearable.

With a wave of his hand, Akira conjured a gust of wind, quickly sweeping away the foul odor.

"Katakuri, I heard from the soldiers that you've agreed to teach me the essentials of future sight?" Akira called out, casting his gaze into the dark cell.

From the shadows, Katakuri stepped forward, but his appearance was in shambles.

Dark circles hung under his eyes, his hair was disheveled like a bird's nest, and his lips were covered with large blisters from exhaustion.

One word came to mind—wrecked.

"You...!" Katakuri's eyes burned with fury through the cell bars. "You're too shameless!"

Only he knew the hellish time he had endured. For 24 hours a day, there was always some debauchery unfolding in front of him. Even in his sleep, he'd be jolted awake by the constant, unmentionable sounds.

For the first time in his life, he regretted honing his sharp senses to such a level. At first, he had tried to endure, refusing to surrender, but even someone as strong as him had limits.

Akira grinned. "Heh, to me, if the tactic works, shameless or noble doesn't matter."

Seeing that Katakuri had truly been broken down, Akira's mood lightened.

"By the way, those fraudulent tactics at sea some time ago... that was your doing, wasn't it?" Katakuri suddenly asked, recalling the one thing that had been gnawing at him.

While it had been confirmed as a Marine ploy, he wanted to hear the truth directly from Akira.

"I remember that report. You made quite a fortune, didn't you?" Katakuri added.

Akira raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "Well, this place is full of pirates. You're not going anywhere anytime soon, so there's no need to hide it."

Katakuri's eyes widened. "So it really was you!"

"That's all in the past. Now, do you want to get out of this filthy place and talk about it later?" Akira offered.

"As soon as I'm out of this rotten cell, my energy will come back on its own," Katakuri replied, impatient to leave.

Akira signaled to the soldiers.

They immediately stepped forward and unlocked Katakuri's cage.

The bitter wind and snow howled through the space, occasionally letting out sharp sounds.

Akira and Katakuri stood across from each other, separated by hundreds of meters.

"I'll move you to a cleaner cell," Akira said.

Akira spoke first, making a bold promise: "If you want, I can arrange a woman for you too."

Katakuri took a deep breath.

"It's fine to change cells, but I don't need a woman," he replied. "Since I've given you my word, I won't go back on it. Don't worry."

As a user of Conqueror's Haki, Katakuri believed that once a promise was made, there was no turning back.

He wasn't planning to pull any tricks or hold back.

"You really think of me as a villain, huh?" Akira smirked.

"I'm ready."

Boom!

Katakuri's entire aura exploded with raw power, showing no intention of restraint.

In an instant, he disappeared from sight.

Akira's eyes narrowed, and with a surge of strength, he too vanished.

For a brief moment, Freezing Hell was silent, but then a great clash erupted as the two figures collided midair.

A dark red flash passed through Katakuri's eyes.

"Future sight is an ability born from refining the five senses to their absolute limits," Katakuri explained, his voice carrying through the battle. "To develop the ability to predict the future from advanced Observation Haki, two things are essential."

Akira remained quiet, letting Katakuri continue his explanation without interruption.

Katakuri's tone grew complicated as he reflected on his past in Totto Land.

"First is direction, and second is unwavering conviction."

"I was still honing my Observation Haki when something happened to my family," Katakuri recounted. "At that time, I kept thinking, 'If only I could've seen it coming, some things I didn't like wouldn't have happened.' That was the direction that drove the development of my future sight."

"And as for conviction..."

He paused, then looked at Akira seriously.

"It's the love I have for my family."

"My belief in protecting them allowed me to achieve something as extraordinary as predicting the future."

Katakuri's gaze sharpened. "Do you understand, Fleet Admiral?"

At that moment, his Observation Haki fully activated, and his aura surged even higher.

"Are your beliefs strong enough?"

"Do you have the conviction to learn this ability? Ask yourself."

Boom!

The immense force of Katakuri's Conqueror's Haki exploded outward, black and red lightning crackling in the air around them.

'Belief that makes the impossible possible?'

Akira's expression grew thoughtful for a moment.

But there wasn't time for contemplation now.

With Future Sight fully activated, Katakuri charged forward.

"Then show me what your fledgling version of future sight looks like," Akira muttered, coating his fists in Armament Haki as he met Katakuri's attack head-on.
