Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Preparations for Fish-Man Island
"Releasing Haki to attack internal targets—this advanced technique, referred to as 'Ryuo' in Wano, is a skill mastered by the nation's top samurai."
"There's no doubt that the great swordsman, Kouzuki Oden, excelled in this art."
"It's not exactly a secret among the Marines either... even that blockhead Sentomaru can pull it off."
"However, most people lack the Haki mastery required for such control and focus more on enhancing its quality."
"Without sufficient overall Haki reserves, external release can quickly drain one's energy. And if the quality isn't high, the external attacks lack significant lethality."
Now, with Ashes elevated to the status of a Great Grade Blade, it is unparalleled in the world as the only "Golden Blade." Not only can Haki be infused into its attacks, but the power of Holy Light can also merge seamlessly with it.
"Huuh—"
After testing Ashes, now an upgraded Great Grade Blade, and evaluating his own progress, Wright nodded with satisfaction.
"Hmm… Only a few days left until my monthly trip to Fish-Man Island."
Calculating his time, Wright decided that challenging Mihawk right now wasn't feasible. Instead, he opted to head to Fish-Man Island first.
"Perfect timing. The Reverie is approaching soon as well," he mused.
"This time, Queen Otohime will likely represent Ryugu Kingdom and bring up the topic of migrating Fish-Man Island's population to the surface."
With a flash of golden light, Wright disappeared from the ruined and unfortunate little island where he had been testing his blade.
At Ryugu Kingdom on Fish-Man Island, Wright materialized in his private chamber, glowing beside the radiant Lightforged Beacon Crystal.
Using "disguise," he restored his familiar "Fish-Man Island Grand Healer" appearance: sunglasses, a T-shirt, and board shorts.
Opening the door, he waved to a nearby palace guard.
"Ah, Mr. Wright!" The palace guard exclaimed with joy. "You've arrived already?"
"Yes. I had some free time, so I came a few days early. I need to meet with His Majesty about something important. Please take me to him."
With a casual cast of Holy Light, Wright healed the dark injuries hidden within the guard's body. Amid the guard's profuse gratitude, Wright was escorted to the grand hall of the palace.
It was well known among the palace guards that being stationed near the doctor's chambers during his visits was a coveted post. This lucky guard, unexpectedly benefitting from Wright's early arrival, was inwardly celebrating—while his replacement would likely be crying in frustration.
"Mr. Wright, His Majesty has been informed. Please wait a moment—I'll take my leave now."
"Alright, good work."
"I'm honored."
After a short wait, King Neptune entered the hall alongside Queen Otohime and Jinbe.
"Mr. Wright!"
The four of them had developed a deep cooperative relationship over the past year, one that had grown into a form of alliance.
Queen Otohime had even wondered if Wright might be the prophesied figure for Fish-Man Island—the contemporary Joy Boy.
However, Shyarly's predictions failed to apply to Wright, leaving Queen Otohime uncertain. If Wright were truly Joy Boy, how could he escape the grasp of destiny?
"Your Majesty, Your Highness, Jinbe."
Wright greeted them with a nod. "I had some free time recently, so I came a few days early. There are matters I wish to discuss."
"Please, go ahead," Neptune replied. "If it's something that concerns you, it must be important."
"I'll get straight to the point," Wright began, his tone turning serious. "The Reverie is approaching, and I must ask—are you prepared?"
Neptune, Otohime, and Jinbe exchanged glances, smiles spreading across their faces.
"We have you to thank, Mr. Wright," Queen Otohime said with heartfelt gratitude. "Thanks to your help, attitudes toward humans on Fish-Man Island have changed dramatically."
She bowed slightly, her voice emotional. "Since restarting the petition, over 80% of Fish-Man Island's residents have signed agreements to move to the surface. This would have been unthinkable before!"
Jinbe added with a smile, "After the last incident, we've also intensified our control over Fish-Man District. Minister Left has taken charge of this effort personally."
"With his shrewd methods, the district has undergone a complete transformation."
"Moreover," he continued, "those who once engaged in wrongdoing and were ineligible for your healing have actively participated in Queen Otohime's public speaking programs."
"Her efforts to help them reform have brought about a significant shift in the island's atmosphere."
Neptune chimed in, "We had long underestimated the influence our leadership could have on our citizens..."
"Since the last incident, Otohime's public speaking abilities have greatly improved under your guidance. It seems only a matter of time before Fish-Man Island achieves unity of purpose."
"A remarkable achievement," Wright praised sincerely. "Though I visit monthly, I never imagined you could accomplish so much in such a short time."
"But… it's not enough," Wright said, his tone turning grave. "The questions I raised before still remain unresolved."
"Furthermore… this year's Reverie will be unlike any before it."
"Oh?" The trio's interest was piqued, and Queen Otohime asked, "Ryugu Kingdom hasn't attended the Reverie in over two centuries. What's different this year?"
"This is something Jinbe can verify on his own later," Wright replied, glancing at the whale shark Fish-Man. "This information isn't public, but those who pay attention can sense it."
"This year's Reverie will include a major topic—a new force in the world, the Revolutionary Army."
"The Revolutionary Army?"
Jinbe pondered aloud, "That name… I've heard it in passing over the past few years, but they don't seem significant enough to become a major agenda item at the Reverie."
Neptune shook his head. "Even among the humans passing through Fish-Man Island, I've rarely heard mention of them."
Queen Otohime's expression turned serious. "Mr. Wright, given how seriously you're bringing this up—and arriving early to inform us—what impact will this Revolutionary Army have on Fish-Man Island?"
"Strictly speaking, the Revolutionary Army isn't currently a threat because of their strength, but because of their ideology," Wright explained, his brow furrowing slightly.
He provided a brief overview of the Revolutionary Army's ideas.
"Their philosophy is highly progressive and strikes at the core of the World Government—the Celestial Dragons."
"But they have limitations," he continued. "In a world where power ultimately lies with individuals, relying on the oppressed masses will inevitably lead to heavy sacrifices."
"In terms of goals, they align with Fish-Man Island, with me, and with most reasonable nations."
"However, no one will admit that—not now. Instead, the world will come together to discuss how to respond."
"The World Government remains the world's strongest force. For now, the Revolutionary Army is just a tiny spark."
"But that spark needs time to grow. The world needs time… and so does Fish-Man Island."
"This means that during the upcoming Reverie, while presenting your proposals, you must be prepared to address inquiries about the Revolutionary Army from the World Government and other member nations."
