One Piece: Gold And Fire

Gritting his teeth, Ragna somehow took out the dagger which was dug into his back, pain rang through him but what was more distracting was what just happened.

He saw the man in front of him pulling a ridiculous trick. Though this was no trick, he could see as he was able to sense the power behind that stab. He was no iron man was his body right now was strong enough to avoid sharp blades which there were no power behind them.

This was not like that.

"What are you…" Ragna can't help but ask away.

"Gyahahahahah…." Buggy was still laughing to his heart's content and so were his men.

The idiot didn't even realise that they were giving Ragna time to calm down and collect himself back again. Ragna's mind finally started to calm down as he kept on standing there with one hand closing on his wound.

'Devil Fruit…' His mind finally came up with what could be the anger to this unnatural phenomenon which just happened here.

Both Tashigi and his mother told him about this, it's just that for a man who came from a world where science was so prominent, believing in these stories of some kind of magical fruit out there was a ridiculous notion.

However, he still listens to all this ridiculously sounding notion just because this was an anime world. Here line blurs between ridiculousness and reality.

Looking back at this wound he figured that the wound wasn't deep, no vitals were hurt and he could easily stop the blood loss. Calculation happened inside his brain in less than a few seconds before he decided that he gonna continue to fight.

"What kind of devil fruit user are you ?" He asked, glaring at the red-nosed man in front of him while tearing his shirt to make a makeshift bandage on the spot to stop his bleeding.

"Gyahahahaha…" I'm the man who has eaten the Bara Bara No Mi, I can't be cut, swordsman." Buggy laughed in a condensed manner but still told about his power.

'So it's true huh…' Ragna can't help but sigh, finally he was dealing with a truly unknown thing to him. People with bigger than usual heights and endless seas were fine but special powers, that was strange.

Nothing which he can't get used to though but still strange.

"Can't use swords huh." Ragna thought to himself, he was really excited to use his swords against strong pirates but if the clown was telling the truth then sigh.

"I'm still gonna try…though. Let's see if this joker bleeds." Ragna grinned. Now getting excited about fighting a devil fruit user.

Once his wound was bandaged he was back to his feet. Ready to fight against Buggy however that was when the swordsman in his uniwheel cycle came back with swords in his hand.

"Not so quick, I'm still your opponent. Fight me-swordsman…" This was Cabaji of course.

"Gyahahaha… that right, that's right. How can you fight the captain directly, I Buggy don't fight with just any small fries…" Buggy laughs again and leaves the fight to Cabaji.

"You again." Ragna just rolled his eyes, he rather not waste his time on Buggy's lackeys, it's not that he can't beat them but with Buggy's devil fruit, he can launch another sneak attack like earlier.

"Fine, come at me. Let's see how good of a swordsman you are…" Taking out his swords again he pointed at Cabaji who was juggling between a small dagger and his swords on his unicycle.

Ragna almost instantly closed the distance up seeing the man juggling his weapons, he timed it just right when none of the weapons was in the position to attack him.

Cabaji didn't even see Ragna move, he was that fast and within seconds the swordsman was in front of him.

*Splash…

Blood flowed the moment Ragna moved his sword and Cabaji's chest was cut open, blood gushed out, knocking the man back on his unicycle and making him slightly lose balance for the first time.

"Cabaji…" Buggy's eyes widen. This was the first time someone actually was able to beat Cabaji in East Blue. Being the weakest sea, even someone like him and Cabaji were strong people here.

*Cough…Cough.

Cabaji on the other hand coughed out blood as he stood with clunching on his open wound.

"You…" He wanted to say something but he was losing blood really fast.

"Unlike your shameless captain, I don't sneak attack on an obviously alone man facing this many people. I attack from the front and you'll know when I'm coming. It's your fault for not paying attention, thinking that I'm weaken just because your captain pulled a sneak attack on me. Take my word, when you are fighting you don't wanna play with those weapons, or underestimate your opponent.

Now if you don't wanna die then stay back or next time it will be your neck which I'll be chooping off." Ragna glared at him. Making Cabaji and everyone else take a step back.

Others knowing that Cabaji was probably the strongest in the pirate crew besides Buggy himself, knew that none of them were the opponent of this man in front of them.

Cabaji by now was looking pale, he lost way too much blood and was almost on the verge of losing consciousness.

Ranga didn't go after him, there was no point trying to kill him, he didn't get a bounty on his head and if he did then Ragna was aware of it.

His only target was buggy now.

"Anyone else wanna get cut open or should I go after you Captain now…" Ragna looked around, waiting for any daring soul to come fort but upon getting none he was finally ready to go against Buggy himself.

However, just as he turned to Buggy he noticed that the man was gone.

"What the ?" Ragna's mouth remained open not sure what going on, he could swear he was keeping a tabs on Buggy's movements this time around.

And that was when he noticed that there was something on the ground.

"Legs ?" A big question mark appeared on his face, actually they weren't complete legs but Buggy's feet which were detached from him and now were lying on the ground.

"Gyahahahahaha…" And just when Ragna was finally getting a hint of what power Buggy could have seeing how both the times he could separate his body part, he heard this laughter.

It was coming from a little away from him, turning to the voice he noticed Buggy was flying in the air.

'Okay! Maybe not separation perhaps ?' he got more confused, to beat Buggy he at least needed to know what kind of power he had.

As for the flying advantage was concerned, he wasn't that worried, swordsmanship was the only thing he learned in these 2 months. However, Buggy flying wasn't the concerning thing, what he had in front of him was…

"You have made a big mistake coming to my territory you good-for-nothing swordsman. Now you will know why the entire sea is afraid of Captain Buggy. Get ready to experience my Buggy Ball…" he shouted and Ragna saw Buggy's two hands detach from his body again, flying themselves and adjusting the cannon in front of him.

"Oh boy…" Ragna purses his lips, swords and even guns are fine he could handle them but an entire cannon.

*BOOM

Buggy didn't give Ragna any time and immediately fired the cannon at him. Making the swordsman's eyes go wide and he immediately acts. His body seems to move on instincts and he dodges the upcoming buggy ball only by a hair's length.

The cannonball went past him, heading directly toward the town blasting and destroying countless buildings in its path. Bringing destruction.

However, that was just the starting, Buggy's Buggy Balls were not just mere cannon they were bombs.

Soon the cannon reached to it's end and blasted, exploding and creating a mini black cloud.

Ragna who by hair's length dodged this attack could only see the sheer amount of destruction that cannon attack brought. He had no idea how many were killed in that attack, and how many people lost their homes.

He just stood there in a daze seeing how this all happened in just a matter of minutes. Though he was from the modern world but that doesn't mean he had seen a real explosion by himself, this was his first.

But in this all he also notices something. Which almost made him choked out.

"That direction…"

The cannon fired towards Hocker's place. It's where he was building his pet shop.

Eyes widened he started to look for the exact building but couldn't find it.

"Is it gone ?"

This almost shocked him to the point that he forgot that there was a fight going on. But again that daze only lasted until Buggy's laughter once again rang out and soon Ragna's earlier fighting spirit came back, this time with a hint of anger.

"Now you have done it."
