A piercing sword aura managed to damage the throat of the Primordial Beast of Greed. The pain of having one's throat get pierced and internally bleed made the Primordial Beast of Greed thrash about. All of the golden army members also momentarily lost their control as each of their movement is somewhat connected to the Primordial Beast of Greed.

The golden army might have the ability to do the commands of the ones that summoned it, but it is also a weakness as well. The golden army is still connected to the summoner and could be interfered with as seen as what is happening now. The Primordial Beast of Greed might not have intended for the golden army to even show any unusual behavior but the pain it felt has overshadowed its control.

Adrian grinned because he knew why the Primordial Beast of Greed is in great pain despite the attack not destroying a large part of its body. Emperor Wu is someone Adrian basically summoned using his nether energy and any attacks that he does is affected by it. The devastating effect of Emperor Wu's attacks is only showcased now as this is the first time that it has truly hit the Primordial Beast of Greed.

The barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed prevented any meaningful damage to hit the large golden toad. This also counted the attacks that have nether energy on them as the special effect of the barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed is to block every type of damage. The barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed is designed to shut out any type of damage to the enemy, but it cannot deflect attacks that are absolute piercing in nature.

Attacks that are absolute piercing are those that are designed or enchanted to bypass the defenses regardless of the nature of the attack. A sword slash would definitely pierce through the barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed should it have an absolute piercing feature. Peridot's enhancement of Adrian's attack with Andromeda earlier are an example of the absolute piercing status.

There might have been attacks that can have the piercing enchantment but that does not mean they can pierce through special barriers like the one the Primordial Beast of Greed is using. The Barrier of Greed that the Primordial Beast of Greed blocks out all types of damage in exchange for the monetary value that one has. It is also able to block off regular status ailments and enhancements which is why normal piercing attacks can also be blocked.

The attack that Emperor Wu did is a combination of piercing and absolute piercing as it is the culmination of his skills and understanding of the sword. The initial attack is a powerful burst of sword energy that contained the piercing enhancement while inside of it is the true understanding of the sword which contains the absolute piercing. The Primordial Beast of Greed did not expect that a silent attack would be able to reach it as it has already bumped up its defenses even more when one of its eyes got destroyed.

The pain of nether energy destroying the inside of your body until the depths of your throat is felt by the Primordial Beast of Greed. The large golden toad was thrashing about as an unbearable pain reverberated all throughout its body. If having one of its eyes was already painful for the Primordial Beast of Greed, then the feeling it is having has been multiplied by five. Some of the golden army even became liquid gold as the erratic mind of the Primordial Beast of Greed had messed with the controls it had of the inanimate army.

"Alas, I am not the expert that I thought that I am. It has taken all of me to even just damage the beast but not enough to shatter its barrier completely." Emperor Wu stated as his body started to turn into wisp like energy.

"You have done well, Emperor Wu. Thank you for heeding the call for a champion that can turn the tide of battle to our side. Your contribution is massive in dealing with the calamity before us. Rest assured as I will make sure that it will die to restore balance in your home continent." Adrian stated as he knew what Emperor Wu had done.

"Thank you, mediator. Give us victory!" Emperor Wu saluted as he turned into pure particles of light.

"IT HURTS!" the voice of the Primordial Beast of Greed could finally be heard as it spat out blood.

The Primordial Beast of Greed tried to boost its own regeneration to counteract the burning sensation of the nether energy invading its body. It burned through a quarter of the wealth it currently has just to make sure that it will never feel any pain whatsoever. The pain subsided for the Primordial Beast of Greed but the effects on its wealth could be seen as the barrier that protected it has become thinner in energy.

Adrian could feel that the barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed has definitely weakened since he is very susceptible to changes in energy levels. Emperor Wu did not burn his remaining summon time for nothing as the invincibility of the barrier that the Primordial Beast of Greed has been shattered. As long as attacks contained absolute piercing, it will definitely reach the body of the Primordial Beast of Greed.

The only problem for them is that absolute piercing is not something everyone can have as an enchantment to any skill. Even Peridot had to sacrifice a high tier gemstone to empower one of Adrian's skills at a cost. Even Adrian does not have any skills that have the absolute piercing enchantment which is a testament to how rare it is.

"I guess there really is no other choice. If I do not have absolute piercing, then an irrational type of power is the only thing that can be used." Adrian thought as he looked at Kimat.

Kimat was busy destroying the golden army members when he noticed the gaze of his master. Adrian sent a command directly to Kimat and the latter understood. With a powerful roar, Kimat suddenly released a terrifying aura that made even the Primordial Beast of Greed swallow the pain it was feeling.

Kimat finally changed to his true form as a large feline creature floated in the skies. With each of Kimat's roar, the mana in the surroundings itself vibrated as if they cannot remain stable. Even the barrier that the Primordial Beast of Greed is proud of has started to actually vibrate as Kimat's own presence disrupted it.

"Such unnatural power! How could such a being have it!?" One of the Immortals stated as even they were affected by the aura that Kimat was releasing as their sword auras were disrupted as well.

It is not just the sword auras that were affected because the mana that stabilized the golden army were affected as well. Most of the golden army that were around Kimat turned into dust as they could not maintain their form. Just by being near Kimat created a bizarre mana disruption phenomenon that made inanimate summons unstable.

"Attack and destroy the barrier with all your might!" Adrian commanded as the large Kimat that almost reached the size of the Primordial Beast of Greed slammed his claws towards the barrier of the enemy.

Kimat's attack looked and sounded like lightning came down on the barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed. When the claw first connected, the barrier did not even shake as it looked stable. The Primordial Beast of Greed could even be seen to have a look of relief on its face. Adrian only raised his eyebrows on this as it seems that Kimat's playful nature still affected him despite his almost godlike form.

Another claw slammed down towards the barrier of the Primordial Beast of Greed which created a powerful explosion as if lightning hit the ground. The Primordial Beast of Greed thought that this would also be blocked by its Barrier of Greed as the initial attack was easily blocked but it was not. The Primordial Beast of Greed felt it as an unnatural force suddenly reverberated around it as the barrier vibrated unnaturally. Kimat released a roar as he transformed himself into black lightning and slammed directly onto the barrier for the third time.
