Nexus: All-Heaven System

Chapter 7: Gate (1)

Lin Xuanyu's vision flickered, and his body felt a strange tickling sensation—similar to the feeling he had when a plane took off back in his old world.

Soon, his vision cleared, revealing a stunning world before him.

A Towering mountain stretched into the distance, massive trees dotted the landscape, and above, a seven-colored light pierced the sky, shining brightly through the space above. It looked like something straight out of a fantasy novel.

All of this felt so strange—one moment he was doing his assignment, taking a break, and then suddenly he was transmigrated into this world.

Now, here he was, standing in front of a Gate that connected two different realms.

It all felt surreal.

Suddenly, the bushes behind Lin Xuanyu began shaking violently, and before he could react, a shadow shot out from them at incredible speed.

Swish!

The sound of wind rushing through the forest filled the air as the shadow landed directly in front of him.

It was a massive, muscular rabbit with dark fur, its body coursing with dark energy.

Its bloodshot eyes were wild and full of crazed look. A blood-red crystal was embedded in the center of its head, glowing menacingly.

Yeah, this definitely isn't something that can be tamed... Lin Xuanyu thought to himself.

Then the very next moment, the rabbit, which had looked so intimidating just moments before, was suddenly sliced clean in two and dropped to the ground.

"What a joke," Lin Xuanyu muttered as he stepped over the now-dead rabbit. "This thing really thought it could ambush me..."

In fact, he was already aware of its presence the moment he arrived here, He had spiritual perception; he would be no better than a clown if he couldn't even sense the ambush laid by a dumb monster.

He waved his hand, and the sword intent within his body flared up. The blood-red stone from the rabbit's head detached from its body, and he skillfully caught it mid-air.

He didn't even bother drawing his sword to kill the rabbit. His sword intent alone was enough, and it could stretch up to a 30-meter radius thanks to his spiritual perception.

And it was safe to say that within that radius, nothing could escape him.

The rabbit was only at the 4th level of the Transition Stage, so he didn't even need to expend any energy on it.

As long as he was alive, his sword intent was a limitless killing force that would obey his every command.

Having settled that matter, it was time to move.

If there was one rabbit monster, then there was likely a whole colony nearby. He just needed to track them down and start purging and collect monster cores.

Oddly enough, he didn't feel anything after killing the rabbit. All he felt was pure indifference, mixed with the urgency of obtaining those Energy Gathering Pills.

But there was excitement too.

A deep sense of satisfaction surged through him as he used his sword intent for the first time.

This seamless, almost effortless intent was now a part of him.

Not only that, he was stronger than he had ever been back on Earth.

If the people from his old world were to witness his current strength, they would most likely deem him a god of some sort.

With his hands in his pocket, he started walking to the direct where the rabbit ambushed him. Only he would be this leisure inside a gate.

Level 1 Dimensional gate's strongest monster's power does not exceed Transition realm, hence he was confident in completing his mission of gathering monster cores unscathed.

Worst case scenario if he ran into a late-stage transition realm monster, he will just run!

but he don't have to worry about that either, the bosses of the gates typically lived at the end of the world inside their nest, they don't really come out much because they're busy making babies.

No, not babies, but war weapons of the demons that they use to bring chaos into the world!

Time passed swiftly, an hour has officially gone by.

Lin Xuanyu stood next to a tree with a dark expression on his face as he waved his hand and send out sword intent, a squirrel which was sneaking up from behind the tree fell to the ground with its body cut in two.

"An hour has passed and i've encountered 3 monsters so far..." Lin Xuanyu said rather speechlessly.

Wasn't this the place where the Demons send their best seeds and created an army of monsters?

Where the hell are all they at?

Are they deliberately avoiding him because he is too awesome?

As Lin Xuanyu mused, he detected life signatures entering his spiritual perception. Unlike before, these weren't monsters—they were humans. Three of them: two girls and one guy.

The group moved steadily, with the guy and one of the girls walking a step behind the one leading them.

The girl ahead carried herself with an air of confidence, her expression cold and resolute.

Breaking the silence, the guy suddenly spoke up.

"Hey, Alissa, are you sure you can handle the Seed Monster in this gate?" His voice carried uncertainty as he glanced at the girl in front. "Even though you're at the same level as the beast, I'm still not convinced."

"Hmph! Shut up, Andrew," the second girl, walking beside him, interjected with a snort. A playful smile crossed her face as she quickened her step to hug Alissa's arm. "Alissa is the best swordsman in the world! How could she possibly lose to a filthy Seed Monster?"

Hearing that, Alissa's icy expression softened slightly. "Rachael…" she said in a warm tone. "Don't worry. I'll protect you."

Rachael smiled back at her. "And I'll support you from behind, like always!" she replied cheerfully.

"Hey… can you two stop ignoring me?" Andrew muttered, clearly frustrated at being sidelined in the conversation.

As the group moved forward, Andrew's gaze shifted ahead, and he spotted Lin Xuanyu crouched next to a monster squirrel, casually extracting its monster core with ease.

"Hey, guys, there's someone up ahead!" Andrew called out, his tone suddenly serious.

In the world of gates, caution was second nature. These places were dangerous—if someone died here, not even their corpse would remain. Andrew instinctively knew it was better to be careful than to regret it later

Without hesitation, he activated his Personal AI to assess the stranger's level.

Moments later, the result appeared before him: 4th Transition Realm.

A wave of relief washed over him. "Only 4th Transition?" he thought. Compared to Alissa, who was at the peak of the Transition Realm, and even himself, a solid 8th stage Transition realm practitioner, this person was manageable—hardly a threat.

Andrew's tense expression eased slightly as he signaled the others. "It's fine. Looks like someone weaker than us. Probably just clearing out the lower-tier monsters in this gate."

Rachael hearing this, with her short brown hair tied into a ponytail, rushed ahead, her steps light and cheerful as she reached Lin Xuanyu. Her bright, expressive eyes scanned him curiously, and she greeted him with an enthusiastic smile.

"Hi there! You must be a cultivator too, right?" She asked enthusiastically.

Lin Xuanyu looked at Racheal with a strange expression. Who in their right mind would question whether someone inside a level 1 gate, surrounded by powerful monsters, is a cultivator or not?

She then pointed at herself. "I'm Rachael and these are my teammates, Alissa and Andrew!"

Alissa, a tall and imposing young woman with flowing blue hair and a perpetually cold expression, walked slightly behind, her sword hanging loosely at her side.

Her sharp blue eyes seemed to pierce through Lin Xuanyu as if trying to uncover some hidden secret.

Andrew trailed behind both of them, his average height and plain features giving him a forgettable presence.

"Racheal, what did we say about not talking to strangers?" he said, his tone flat and speechless, as though he couldn't believe she was doing this again.

She was always like this—striking up conversations with strangers whenever she got the chance.

One time, they were even attacked because of it. If Alissa hadn't been with them, things could have ended very differently.

Since then, Andrew had always kept an eye on Rachael, making sure she didn't do something like that again. Her intentions were pure, but not everyone saw it that way.

"What's wrong with that?" Rachael said while ignoring Andrew.

Her Personal AI had already gauged Lin Xuanyu's level: 4th Transition Realm. Compared to her own 7th Transition, Alissa's peak 12th Transition, and even Andrew's 8th, he didn't seem like much of a threat.

That's also why she had taken the initiative to speak in the first place—she wasn't foolish enough to talk to random strangers inside gates

Turning her attention back to Lin Xuanyu, she tilted her head slightly, her ponytail swaying. "What's your name? Did you come here alone?"

Lin Xuanyu smiled replied. "My Name is Lin Xuanyu and Yes, I did come here alone"

When Alissa heard his name, Her expression subtly shifted, Her icy demeanor didn't change much, but there was a slight sense of confusion in her blue eyes as she looked at him.
