Nexus: All-Heaven System

Chapter 3: Transmigrators

Lin Xuanyu sat silently, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the table. His expression was calm, almost serene, but his eyes gleamed with a sharp light.

Then, suddenly, a smile broke across his face. It wasn't a smile of joy, but one filled with a hint of something dangerous.

He looked at his hands, "I exist right now because of the previous Lin Xuanyu and I definitely wasn't the type to not repay gratitudes!"

A smirk slowly curled up on Lin Xuanyu's lips as he leaned forward. "Starting now, I'm Lin Xuanyu of this world. And I'm not about to let them get away with this."

His voice dropped to a soft murmur, his gaze cold. "Rest assured… they'll pay for what they have done to you."

Turning his attention to Lia, he spoke with a smile, "Lia, gather all the information you can on those two and that elder brother of mine."

"Affirmative, Young Master Lin," Lia responded without hesitation. "I will assist you in that."

To Lia, the question of his revival was irrelevant. Her sole purpose was to serve him, unwaveringly and without question.

Whether or not he had returned from death, she was bound to assist him in every way possible.

Lin Xuanyu felt a small shift in his perception of Lia.

There was something reassuring about knowing he had an ally so dedicated, even if it was just an AI.

Time passed quickly, and before Lin Xuanyu realized it, an hour had already slipped by. In that time, he had thoroughly examined all the information related to his past life.

To sum it all up: Lin Xuanyu had come to this planet after a heated argument with his father, Lin Xin. The former Lin Xuanyu was naïve, kind-hearted, and fearful.

He had a constant anxiety about the monstrous creatures that lurked in dimensional gates on various planets, and because of this, he had never gained any real combat experience.

His father, a major general in the Cosmic Alliance, could not stand it. Lin Xin was a battlefield expert who could turn the tide of a war, but his son was afraid to even hurt a soul.

In his frustration, he had given Lin Xuanyu an ultimatum: either go to a random planet and close a dimensional gate on your own, or forget about marrying Lia Rain, his fiancée.

That's right, he had a fiancée, and it was none other than Lia Rain, someone he had thought was an uhmm... actress. However, when he searched for more information about her, he was shocked.

She wasn't an actress—she was the youngest cultivator to comprehend a law while still in the Core-Formation stage. Over the past month, she had been making a name for herself, and recently, an article surfaced saying that a mysterious expert had taken her in, and she hadn't made a public appearance since.

Obsessed with the idea of marrying her, the former Lin Xuanyu had immediately accepted his father's request and came down to this planet for training, hoping to clear a gate. It was during this time that his two so-called "loyal" subordinates, called Derick and Jerry who had stayed behind in the Lin Clan, showed up.

The former Lin Xuanyu, always grateful for their support, allowed them to follow him. One day, after returning from a gate, they offered him a drink they claimed could advance him directly to the third level of the Transition stage.

Being sheltered and inexperienced, Lin Xuanyu had no reason to doubt them. To clear the gate, he needed more strength since the strongest monster inside was at the 12th level of Transition. He trusted his subordinates, drank the potion, and soon realized it had been a trap.

The true mastermind behind it all was his elder brother, Lin Yuan. According to Lia—the AI—Lin Yuan always wore a kind façade but was secretly driven by ambition. The motive behind his brother's actions became clear: if Lin Xuanyu died, Lin Yuan could marry Lia Rain, and he could finally fulfill his dream.

Lin Xuanyu couldn't help but shake his head. He sighed deeply, wondering why people still went to such lengths over a woman.

As far as he was concerned, that marriage proposal meant nothing now. He wasn't the old Lin Xuanyu, and he intended to use his newfound lack of memories to slip away from his past.

The Marriage Proposal itself looked like a huge red flag to him and he wanted anything but family drama in his life!

Hopefully the patriarch kicks him out of the clan...

Now that Lin Xuanyu had all the information he needed, he was ready to take action.

Killing them would be easy. He could simply contact the Patriarch, and within moments, both his subordinates would be dead.

However, that wasn't the solution he wanted. If he went to the Patriarch directly, Lin Yuan would only face a short imprisonment.

That wasn't enough. Lin Yuan hadn't truly killed him yet—he was still alive, meaning it will be treated as an attempted murder.

The Patriarch would never execute his own son, no matter the crime.

Hence, Lin Xuanyu had to be the one to bring an end to this.

As his thoughts settled, a strange realization crossed his mind.

He had been planning to kill someone.

He, who had never taken a life, now felt no hesitation. There was no guilt, no remorse.

Was this change a result of his transmigration? Or was it the drive for revenge on behalf of the former Lin Xuanyu?

Either way, one thing was clear—he wasn't going to back down.

That was when the silent All-heaven system that haven't showed its face in a while suddenly turned up.

Tti-ting!

[The host has been fully accepted by the system.]

[The host has proven himself ready to take on the missions of the system.]

[As the host of the All-heaven system. It is the host's responsibility to maintain the balance within the endless reality. In return the host will gain powerful benefit from the system]

[The endless reality is in disorder because of the Dharma-ending age.]

[The laws have disappeared from the eyes of worlds, and the barriers between worlds are even thinner than before. Otherworldly beings, transmigrators, and factions working against the natural order of the endless reality are constantly destroying worlds.]

[It is the Host's duty to protect the endless reality from harm.]

Lin Xuanyu nodded, not surprised.

He expected this, His transmigration was by no means simple and he didn't think that this system was going to just let him freeload like this.

It would've been great if he could actually do that... but nevermind... we'll stick with this for now.

Then another window popped up.

[The world is under threat of destruction by a being who can see the future.]

[He comes from a lower world with no spiritual energy, but using his powers, he turned the future into a novel that people can read. After writing the future, he reincarnated into this world.]

[He is conspiring against the world to destroy it. The world will took notice of this.]

[And to stop him, the world summoned someone who has read the novel.

[At the same time, the Main God Dimension, a faction that destroys worlds, sent a group of otherworlders to eliminate the one brough here by the world will and One who sees the future.]

[Your current mission is to find and eliminate the otherworlders and eliminate the One who sees the future.]

Looking at the system interface, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "So you're saying that there's a guy who knows the future, someone who reincarnated here to stop him from doing crazy things, and there's a team hunting down both that guy and the one he's trying to stop for standing in their way?"

Tti-ting!

[Correct.]

Lin Xuanyu: ...

Without waiting for a reply, a new window opened up.

[One transmigrator has been identified!]

[Mission: Eliminate Lin Yuan who has already been possessed by an otherworldly being.

Reward: Membership to the Multi-dimensional chat group, 300 Source Points, 1x random item]

Lin Xuanyu's mouth involuntarily started twitching,

How convenient, turns out his brother was an otherworlder now he definitely needs to be eliminated!

Seeing all this, he felt like his life wouldn't be as boring as it had been in his old world.

He looked forward to it.

Lin Xuanyu stood up and clapped his hand, "Now is the perfect time to use the last remaining SP!"

As of now, he had no cultivation, but from his estimation, he was almost as strong as a second-level Transition Realm cultivator.

The Transition Realm had twelve sub-levels.

Those who had just unlocked the first meridian were considered cultivators at the early stage of the Transition Realm.

Those who had unlocked the 5th meridian were considered experts at the middle stage, and those who had unlocked the 9th meridian were considered to have stepped into the late stage.

He hadn't even stepped into the early stage of the Transition Stage, yet he was as strong as a 2nd-stage Transition Stage cultivator.

He would only grow stronger once he stepped into the first level.

It was important to note that he cultivated using cosmic energy—the purest form of energy—which was far superior to the common spiritual energy.

This advantage meant he would be stronger than his peers.

Spiritual energy was essentially a less pure version derived from cosmic energy

However, he couldn't rely on the spiritual energy freely available in the air to cultivate, as it was too impure and filled with various contaminants.

Instead, he needed concentrated and pure spiritual energy to extract cosmic energy effectively using the Stellar Refinement method.

And for that, he required a significant supply of highly concentrated energy pills and materials to advance his cultivation, as the ordinary spiritual energy present in the universe was no longer sufficient.

For now, he planned to use the cultivation pills stored in his closet.

But before doing that, he wanted to merge his Sword Techniques and create a perfect technique for himself, having a good combat technique can also raise his power to a new level and to fight someone like Lin Yuan who is now an otherworlder, he definitely would need a lot of strength.
