Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 267: | 267 | Monster Monarch Echidna

A beautiful daemoness stood in the middle of an expansive metropolis filled to the brim with concrete towers that pierced through the heavens. Echidna beholden the nostalgic scenery in astonishment, unable to grasped the circumstance she found herself in.

It has been a while since his reincarnation as a monster, and she even lost her manhood in the process of monster evolution. After establishing a country of her own, she hadn't thought of returning to his former world crowded with remarkable technologies.

But was it really her former world? The world where the imagines of many remained nothing more but a fantasy? Obviously, not! She could feel the mana scattered throughout the cityscape, and as long as mana existed, nothing was impossible.

For this reason, Echidna understood that she hadn't escaped the clutches of the primordial world. Perhaps, she might have been sent into somewhere far from the continent of Europa.

"However... Where am I?"

The continental region of Typhon was amongst the few continental regions within Europa. It was also the part of the continent where monsters existed. Entities of mana with a semblance of sapience. Echidna started as a demonic imp and grew after consuming monsters roaming the wilderness.

It wasn't a pleasant experience, but it was the one that molded her into the current monster monarch of Monstra. Gaining subordinates and colleagues, establishing a peaceful nation in the middle of the wilderness, and clashing against neighboring monster nations who were hungry of resources were all difficult endeavors.

Yet, she endured and grew stronger than ever before.

Echidna stood amongst the strongest monster monarchs of the continental region. Even then, her nation continued to be surrounded by hostile monster nations. Her allies were plenty, enduring, and like-minded, yet far. It was for this reason why the spell that brought her here was created.

A way for her people to escape the blazing inferno of war.

In mere moments, her question was interrupted as the familiar sound of rotating contraptions echoed from above. Turning her gaze up, an attack helicopter hovered while directing its chain guns at her. Behind it were a squadron of Apaches, circling and preparing to open fire once orders were given.

After the arrival of the attack helicopters, the long-winded armored convoy of IFVs, APCs, and MBTs arrived at the intersection where the foreign object had landed. Each of these armored and mechanized vehicles were loaded with soldiers, who were swiftly deployed to surround her.

It only took a minute for Echidna to be surrounded by what she would considered a modern military. Snipers congested the rooftop of concrete towers with their spotters guiding them into their target. Rifles, machine guns, and tank barrels were all pointed at her. It was fairly clear that none of the soldiers before her were hesitating.

She furrowed her eyebrows and wondered why there was a modern military within the primordial world. The technological level of the world shouldn't be so advanced. Even the dwarves with their sophisticated technologies were barely scratching the level of what the modern world could utilized.

Humanity and the Magus Tower didn't have the technology of the modern era, so why do these people have so much technology? The technology was also exactly the same as her former world. It was confusing, to say the least.

But as she calmly observed the army before her, she realized something vital. Inside their bodies, there wasn't a tinge of mana perpetuated by their souls. Every creature within this world should have a bit of mana within their body and spirit. It was the very building block that formed the primordial world.

Yet, these humans had no mana. There wasn't even a bit of it. It was as though their bodies were empty of it, making them resemble dolls in the eyes of those that perceived mana. A stone would be considered more alive than them.

*Foreigner! Raise your hands and stand down! I repeat! Raise your hands and stand down! You will be arrested for trespassing the borders of the United World Government and illegally entering the Citadel. Raise your hands and stand down!*

'United World Government?'

Echidna was somewhat confused of their peculiar name, though merely shook her head and gazed coldly at the humans before her. Although she was a former human, she understood the cost of trusting them. Her naivety almost destroyed her kingdom. And she was lucky to have what remained bow before her authority.

It wasn't a long ago, yet it felt as though an eternity had come to pass since then.

Surrendering was an action she'd rather avoid. Perhaps, it was better to leave the expansive cityscape and return whence she came from. But before she could conjure a single spell, the daemoness felt a heavy weight pressing from above. Her gaze landed upon a beautiful silver-haired lady whose black horns gleamed with nobility and a dark tint of brilliance.

"I advice you to follow their words. Otherwise, I will have to force you to follow them." The gorgeous lady remarked, her soothing voice resounding throughout the intersection. Just when Echidna thought that things couldn't be stranger. A monster was working alongside the humans.

Most importantly, this monster reminded her of the dragon monarch who was a peculiar friend of hers. At any rate, realizing she was cornered. Echidna sighed to herself and decided to surrender as to prevent the situation from escalating. She didn't want the civilians or the infrastructure of the city to be damage.

"Alright, take me to your ruler." After sighting, Echidna surrendered herself and offered her hands. A squad of soldiers exited the encirclement, carrying a black briefcase in their hands. When they arrived in front of her, the briefcase opened, revealing intricate cuffs with a complex runic system.

She merely watched as the soldier cuffed both of her wrist together. And when the futuristic-looking cuffs locked, she finally understood its capabilities. Unlike the usual anti-mana cuffs that was employed throughout the continent of Europa, the cuffs that apprehended her didn't siphon mana away.

The cuffs simply locked mana usage by halting the movement of mana inside her body. It was a far more complicated handcuff to break, although not impossible to free herself from. But Echidna would rather avoid antagonizing a dragon that seemed far stronger than the dragon monarch.

She could feel the weight of the power that the gorgeous lady before her wielded. It was enough to destroy nations with remarkable ease, which brought chills to her spine.

"It has been a while since we received a powerful foreigner from the outside. The first and second one were troublesome individuals who were the Sovereigns of Humanity." The beautiful lady commented, maintaining a soft smile.

'The Sovereigns? So, they actually made contact with these people?' Echidna couldn't believe what she was hearing, but there was no reason for the dragoness to lie at her. Despite the questions flooding her mind, she maintained her calm and nodded in understanding.

'No wonder the soldiers were antagonistic towards me.' If the first foreigners she had met from Europa were the Sovereigns, she would have also been hostile towards anyone that originated in the continent.

"All of you stand down. I'll bring her under my jurisdiction." The dragoness commanded to the modern army, who briefly calmed down. Since they have received orders from the Dragon of Liberation, it was time to return to the Foundation. The resources they have mobilized were quite intensive, but it was a natural reaction to a trespassing powerful foreigner.

The battalion commander straightened their back and saluted to the dragoness before ordering the army to return. Returning her attention to the foreigner, the dragoness promptly introduced themselves.

"You can call me Laplace, and I'm the Dragon of Liberation."

"I'll now bring you to my husband."

"He's a curious man, you see... Just like me, he wants to know why you entered our nation without warning." A cold glint escaped Laplace's eyes, but Echidna merely ignored. It was better to not waste time chattering and meet with the ruler of the place.

"A quiet one, huh? Well, I guess it is within your rights to be silent." Laplace chuckled and carried Echidna with a single hand before throwing her towards the Citadel. Echidna, who was surprised at first, now felt complicated while soaring through the heavens. She was heading towards the massive tower that punctured through the skies.

And she could already feel the warm, fiery pressure emanating from inside.

Inside the crown of the Citadel was the office of the one that stand above the United World Government, the Authority. The arrested foreigner, Monster Monarch Echidna, now faced the sole ruler of the World Government. She sat above a comfortable chair as her gazed peered onward towards the man before the office table in front of her.

There was only two words that she could describe the middle-aged man who was known as the Authority of the United World Government. These two words were, Blazing Sun. It was as if the personification of the golden sun had made its way into her eyes. It was irresistible, and blinding.

The only reason why she could sit before him without complaining about the radiance was because of the fact that she turned most of her senses as a daemoness off. Because of this, she observed the Authority in the lenses of an ordinary human being.

"You should be the Monster Monarch Echidna, am I correct? My wife has already informed me about your identity, although I still wonder why you trespassed into the sovereignty of the United World Government without warning."

"I will be hearing an explaining from you."

Abraham smirked at the demon girl while gazing directly at her crimson eyes. It was the first time he had seen an actual succubus, which was intriguing to say the least.
