Rinjin returned home delighted with his ten thousand ryō.

Money gives people courage - with money in hand, Rinjin felt like there was a spring in his step.

Moreover, he had arranged with Hiruzen Sarutobi to start attending the ninja academy in a week.

School itself wasn't the key point - what mattered was that after training at the ninja academy, he would naturally become a member of Konoha's ninja forces.

Though they would still maintain their guard against him, at least Rinjin would gain opportunities to go on missions. Additionally, being able to openly use ninja techniques would greatly help his future plans.

Over the next week, Rinjin forged iron daily, producing many finished products and accumulating quite a bit of scrap metal.

Following the principle of not wasting anything, he melted down the scrap metal, ground it into powder, and stored it within his body.

This was a weight training method Rinjin had used at the Jashin Cult base, except back then he stored dirt and other debris in his body - now it was iron powder.

Iron powder was much heavier than dirt and distributed weight more evenly. Iron powder was simply far superior to dirt as a weight training material.

Thus, although his entire body ached, Rinjin remained enthusiastic about it.

He was lazy - he couldn't be bothered to find separate time to train his physical condition, so he could only improve himself through this 24-hour weight training method.

In less than a week, Rinjin discovered this weight training method had remarkably good results.

With about 200 kilograms of iron powder evenly distributed throughout his body, though he was in constant severe pain, his body got exercise with every movement whether walking, sitting or lying down.

Looking at his slightly blackened palms, Rinjin couldn't help but sigh:

"What Hidan lacks isn't strength or intelligence, but imagination!"

There were so many things that could be combined with immortality - Eight Gates, Multiplying Explosive Tags, Flying Raijin and more...

Given the chance, Rinjin even wanted to try the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, or maybe even mess around with a tailed beast.

Since he couldn't die no matter what happened to him, there were too many possible techniques to try - Rinjin didn't dare imagine them all.

With all that, forget about Lord Madara - even if Lady Kaguya showed up, she'd have no choice but to lie down and whimper.

Of course, fighting was out of the question - he'd never fight in this life, he could only earn a few hundred million to maintain his lifestyle.

What Rinjin admired most was that jewelry merchant's son Bon Nisashi from the story;

His Money Release, along with the Prince's Talk no Jutsu, Sasuke's Show-off Release, and Ōtsutsuki Ichiraku's Ramen Release, were known as the four strongest release techniques.

...

Time flew by, and a week passed in the blink of an eye. It was time for Rinjin to start school.

"Rie, time to wake up." Rinjin got dressed and gently shook the sprawled-out little Rie beside him.

Rie mumbled something and rolled over, continuing to sleep soundly.

"Rie, wake up, brother will take you to school!"

Rinjin wasn't in a hurry, continuing to shake the chubby Rie like kneading a round ball of dough.

"Brother! I want to sleep!" Rie got up irritably after being shaken so much.

"What sleep? Proper people don't sleep! Only people without prospects sleep!" Rinjin, who didn't need sleep himself, was especially envious and jealous of children like Rie who never got enough sleep.

Seeing that the hard approach wasn't working, Rie sat pouting on the bedding, rubbing her eyes with her chubby little hands.

"Brother, I... I want to... want to go to the Sensō-ji Temple festival with Aunt Anko today."

"Where's Sensō-ji Temple? I've never heard of it?"

"Um... Aunt Anko said Sensō-ji is a branch temple of the Fire Temple, right here in the village."

Seeing Rie's eager expression, Rinjin sighed.

"You don't really want to go to the festival, you just want to feast there!"

However, Rinjin didn't stop Rie.

Obviously, this was Konoha's leadership making a move.

The method was simple, but somehow Rinjin couldn't bring himself to dislike it.

Rinjin had many reasons for coming to Konoha, one of which was to give Rie a happy childhood.

And Konoha village, as the strongest village among the Five Great Nations, not only had good climate and environment, but most importantly, had a decent atmosphere.

In this era where human life was as cheap as grass, the Will of Fire truly protected a pure land.

The village leadership's plan was also simple - influence his decisions by influencing Rie.

Obviously, they were overthinking it. Even without Rie, Rinjin would cooperate with Konoha.

Even if Rie became a Konoha ninja and inherited the Will of Fire, so what? Would she be unhappy? They didn't know anything!

Thinking of this, Rinjin decided not to dwell on it further - let her be, living carefree and unburdened.

"Well you still need to get up! Keep lying in bed and I'll spank you!"

Rie ignored Rinjin's threat, excitedly tugging his sleeve with her beautiful big eyes wide open.

"Brother! You agree?!"

Rinjin nodded, and the little girl immediately started wriggling happily in the bedding like a plump worm.

"Alright, get dressed."

Hearing this, Rie nodded obediently.

Soon after, Rinjin led Rie to the dining room.

Uncle Ippongi sat at the low table, drowsily yawning. When he saw Rinjin enter, he childishly wiggled his bottom and turned his back.

He was still upset about Rinjin going to ninja academy - in his view, ninjas weren't proper, only making money was proper.

Aunt Anko, who was setting out dishes, gave him an annoyed swat before smiling and waving to Rinjin and Rie.

"Rinjin-kun, Rie-chan, come quickly, today's breakfast is tomato omurice!"

Hearing this, Rie's big eyes suddenly lit up, and she pulled Rinjin quickly toward the dining table.

After sitting down, as usual, Uncle Ippongi leisurely drank his tea, Aunt Anko held Rie on her lap, and little Dan Katō buried his head in his food.

Instead of looking at the tempting omurice on the table, Rinjin pulled out an envelope from his chest and placed it on the table.

"Aunt Anko, I'm starting ninja academy today. Rie mentioned you're taking her to the Sensō-ji festival - this money is for Rie's expenses along the way."

With that, he pushed the envelope toward Anko.

Seeing Rinjin's serious expression, Anko unconsciously switched to polite speech, shaking her head repeatedly in refusal.

"No, no, Rinjin-kun, I really like Rie. Besides, we're just going to enjoy the festival atmosphere - it won't cost much at all."

Rinjin shook his head slightly, his hand firmly pushing the envelope forward.

Though he was young, when he furrowed his brows he naturally carried a mature and sharp presence that made people unable to meet his eyes directly.

He might not have noticed himself, but his past experiences gave his every word and action a sense of maturity and sophistication. People who interacted with him would occasionally forget he was only seven years old.

Anko couldn't refuse him and could only sigh slightly as she accepted the envelope.

When she took it, it wasn't very thick but felt substantial.

Anko, who frequently handled money, immediately guessed:

The envelope contained banknotes, one thousand ryō each, about eight to ten of them.

She couldn't help but marvel - Rinjin-kun really doted on Rie, readily giving ten thousand ryō.

For her, ten thousand ryō wasn't much, but for a child who had just arrived with his sister, ten thousand ryō was truly a huge sum.

What an extraordinary child!

...

After breakfast, Rinjin took Rie back to their room.

"Rie, keep this safe - you haven't forgotten the characters I taught you, right?"

Hearing this, Rie blankly accepted the scroll Rinjin handed her, shaking her head: "Brother, I haven't forgotten."

"Very good." Rinjin patted Rie's head satisfactorily before continuing.

"This scroll contains instructions for chakra extraction. You're a big girl now, so study it when you have time - don't always wait for brother to push you to learn."

Hearing this, Rie nodded obediently.

"Brother, does having chakra make you a ninja?"

"No, but chakra is the foundation for ninjas. It's all explained in the scroll - you can read it yourself."

After speaking, he gently pinched Rie's chubby cheek.

Rie silently hugged the scroll to her chest, her big eyes full of excited light as she declared loudly:

"Don't worry brother, I'll definitely train hard and strive to become your good helper soon!"

Looking at the little girl's sparkling big eyes, Rinjin shook his head helplessly.

"Rie! I don't need a helper. Giving you the scroll is just to give you one more choice for your future - after all, being a ninja isn't the only path in this world."

Rie shook her head.

"Brother, Rie doesn't understand, but Rie will definitely work hard!"

"Fine, whatever makes you happy." Rinjin sighed, gently pinched Rie's plump little cheek, and left for school.
