Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 535: Chapter 535: Solving Doubts, Decisions, and Challenges

As Reiki stood tall amidst the towering pressure of Bu Zhou Mountain, Gujia, in her dragon form, lay on the ground nearby, visibly shocked.

Though she had guided many inheritors to this place, never had she experienced such overwhelming pressure. In past visits, she had been able to stand on this ground, even if unable to lift her head. But now, she was forced to the ground, barely able to breathe.

And yet, Reiki stood. Straining, trembling, but standing tall.

Even from the corner of her eye, Gujia could sense something extraordinary in Reiki's determination.

Reiki's Defiance

"I step here by your invitation. Is this a test?" Reiki asked aloud, his voice resolute.

He raised his head fully, standing firm against the oppressive force of the mountain. The towering presence before him was Bu Zhou Mountain itself, now revealing its true majesty.

Etched into a colossal stone tablet nearby were two characters: Improper.

The pressure, so suffocating moments before, dissipated abruptly. Reiki felt his body grow light, and the weight on his shoulders vanished.

Gujia, now free from the overwhelming force, reverted to her human form and stood beside him.

A New Presence

Before Reiki could fully process what had happened, a spatial fluctuation rippled through the air.

A massive dragon head tore through the void, its form circling the space ominously. But as quickly as the dragon's majesty appeared, it dissolved, transforming into the figure of a young boy—barely ten years old.

"Fairy?" Reiki asked tentatively.

"That's what they call me," the boy replied, his tone calm yet commanding. "But my name is Zhu."

The immortal paused, scrutinizing Reiki. "I summoned you here because you carry a unique aura, one that none of the previous inheritors possessed. You already have a world under your control, correct?"

Reiki nodded hesitantly.

"Now then," Zhu continued, "have you made your choice?"

"Choice?" Reiki questioned, though deep down, he understood. "Do you mean the choice to use the world's power for myself or to transform it into a Sage Land?"

Zhu smiled faintly. "It seems you already know your path. Tell me, what do you feel now? Do you have questions?"

Reiki's Questions

"Feel… I feel awe at the power here," Reiki admitted. "As for questions… what I saw in the passage—was it a hallucination? Or was it real?"

"The passage you saw is not merely a passage—it is the River of Time," Zhu explained. "Where you stand now is neither the ninja world nor the Sage Land but my own domain. What you saw exists."

"Earth?" Reiki whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of hope and fear.

"Yes," Zhu replied simply.

The confirmation left Reiki stunned. He had expected trials, riddles, and uncertainty, yet here was the truth handed to him plainly. The images of Earth he had seen were real—the history unfolding before his eyes had indeed been the history of his original world.

Reiki hesitated. Part of him wanted to ask if he could return, but the words caught in his throat. Memories of his mundane life on Earth clashed with his current reality—one filled with power, purpose, and recognition.

"Do you wish to go back?" Zhu asked, piercing through Reiki's thoughts.

"I… I don't know," Reiki admitted. "My life on Earth wasn't as fulfilling as it is now. But… I can't ignore the connection."

The Offer of a Sage Land

"Since you're uncertain," Zhu said, his tone softening, "you don't need to dwell on it for now. I called you here to guide you, not to force a choice. Would you like to create your own Sage Land?"

Reiki's eyes widened. "Yes," he answered without hesitation.

"Then I will plant the seed of the Sage Land within your world," Zhu explained. "Master this land, and it will become your foundation. If you wish to return to Earth with your full strength, this is where you must start."

Raising a hand, Zhu extended his index finger toward Reiki's forehead. A bead of pure energy emerged from within Reiki, floating to Zhu's fingertip. It was the essence of the world under Reiki's control.

As the bead hovered, the majestic Bu Zhou Mountain behind Zhu shattered into fragments. One shard, carried by the wind, grew into a towering mountain before Reiki's eyes.

"This fragment of Bu Zhou is now part of your world," Zhu said. "It will connect your domain to time and space. When your Sage Land is complete, Bu Zhou will return, and you will understand all that I have told you."

Back Beyond Bu Zhou

The world shifted around Reiki, and in an instant, he found himself standing beyond the base of Bu Zhou Mountain.

Gujia stood beside him, her expression a mix of curiosity and admiration. "Now that you've seen the Sage, what's next? Will you continue practicing here, or…"

Before Reiki could answer, two familiar voices rang out.

"Reiki, we're not done yet!" Chodori called, appearing alongside An Ye.

The two stood triumphantly beside a towering pile of medicinal materials.

"When you come here, you train," Chodori teased. "Also, we've gathered these herbs for you—time to get to work making potions!"

Reiki sighed, a small smile forming on his lips. Despite the revelations he'd just encountered, life had a way of pulling him back into the present.

For now, he would focus on building his Sage Land—and mastering the challenges that lay ahead.
