Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 527: Chapter 527: The Angry Okamoto Hikawa

Unlike the ominous clouds gathering over the situation, Reiki couldn't be more pleased.

His treatments targeted people who had rarely, if ever, received proper medical care. The amount of experience he gained from them was far beyond his expectations.

The population density of the Land of Hot Springs, a bustling region, was nothing like the sparsely populated villages he had encountered before.

For four days, Reiki maintained his stall. Despite limiting each individual to a single treatment, there were still many he hadn't yet attended to.

Now back in his room, Reiki changed clothes and headed to the hot spring.

Soaking in the warm water, he let the tension melt away.

"Those guys are surprisingly patient," Reiki muttered, leaning back in the pool.

"They've sent people to test me multiple times but haven't made any direct moves. Are they waiting for me to leave on my own?"

Bringing up his system panel, Reiki checked his recent gains.

He had amassed a wealth of medical points and solidified his chakra reserves. However, when it came to members of the Evil God Cult, Reiki avoided fully treating them.

Fully restoring their health would inevitably raise suspicion. Instead, he gave them just enough to function.

"They're no better than frightened mice," he chuckled. "At the slightest hint of trouble, they scatter."

Suddenly, a strange noise echoed around the hot spring.

"Susususu..."

A series of sealing scrolls appeared, spreading around the pool.

Cursed seals unfurled rapidly, enclosing the area and trapping Reiki within.

"Is this Reiki, the so-called strongest medical ninja?"

A mocking voice rang out nearby.

"Just a child… Seems I was overly cautious."

Reiki remained calm, unbothered by the cursed seals. He lounged in the hot spring as if nothing had happened.

"Hmm?" Reiki said, his voice tinged with amusement. "Finally decided to make a move?"

The sound of hurried footsteps interrupted him. A group of individuals entered his view, led by a middle-aged man wearing a tall hat.

The man radiated a sinister aura, his eyes glinting with malice.

This figure felt far more dangerous than the minor Evil God Cult members Reiki had encountered in smaller villages.

"You're the one causing all this fear?" the man scoffed, approaching Reiki. "A child barely over ten? Ridiculous. Those cowards must have exaggerated."

Reiki ignored him and activated his scanning ability.

[Scanning…]

Tian Yuan Gou Huo: Purple name. Umekawa Jiro: Purple name. Okamoto Hikawa: Red name.

The leader's name—Okamoto Hikawa—lit up in red, marking him as a significant threat.

Scanning further, Reiki expanded the range to encompass the city. Among the many white names (ordinary civilians), the occasional bright red name stood out.

"Hmm," Reiki muttered. "They're cautious, only sending a few people. But what's their goal? To kill me or gather intel?"

A sly grin spread across his face as he addressed the man.

"Are we going to chat, or are you here to ask questions? Let's skip the theatrics and get to it."

"Still mouthing off?" Okamoto Hikawa's tone grew sharper. "You clearly don't understand the situation you're in."

Reiki's expression remained unbothered. "If you have questions, ask them. I'm not planning to resist."

His calm demeanor only further irked Okamoto Hikawa.

"You… Fine," Hikawa snapped. "Was it you who destroyed the Seventh Station?"

"The Seventh Station?" Reiki chuckled. "Oh, you're numbering them? Convenient. So, which one are you from?"

Hikawa's face darkened.

"And yes," Reiki continued, "if you mean the base in the Land of Fire that was dismantled a while ago, that was me."

"You expect me to believe you did that alone?" Hikawa sneered. "A kid who can't even break free of these seals? Impossible. Who else was involved?"

Reiki shrugged. "They weren't killed, you know. Just roughed up. I even patched them up afterward."

"Patched them up?" Hikawa growled.

"Here, let me show you." Reiki clapped his hands together.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

Two bursts of smoke appeared, and from them emerged Reiki's summoned beasts: Chodori and An Ye.

Chodori, the larger of the two, glanced disinterestedly at the newcomers.

"These weaklings again?" she muttered, unimpressed.

An Ye, holding a bundle of herbs, seemed equally unfazed. "More of the same? I thought we were done with this lot."

Ignoring the seals, Chodori calmly entered the hot spring, donning a swimsuit.

"Spa time," she said, ignoring the group entirely.

Hikawa's composure cracked as he stared at the two summons.

"Two… children?!" he sputtered.

The realization hit hard—Reiki and these two summons had bested an entire station of their operatives. It was an insult to their organization.

Hikawa had hoped to uncover a larger conspiracy or confirm the involvement of the Five Great Nations. Instead, he found himself faced with three seemingly ordinary figures.

"This… This is absurd!" he roared. "You're lying! There's no way you could have done this alone!"

Chodori yawned. "Are we fighting or not? This is boring."

Reiki smirked. "Well, if you don't believe me, feel free to try your luck."

Hikawa seethed with rage. But he knew better than to underestimate this trio any further. If the Seventh Station had truly fallen to them, then his assumptions about the ninja world needed serious reconsideration.

For now, he would retreat and reevaluate his next move.

Reiki, lounging comfortably, watched with a calm smile as Hikawa's anger simmered.

This was going to be an interesting encounter.
