Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 514: Chapter 514: Suicide in Front of Reiki?!

Uzumaki Daemon's face betrayed a flicker of panic as he was held firmly by Reiki. He knew all too well that even within Konoha, members of the Uzumaki clan were often targeted for their unique physiology. Their chakra-rich bodies made them ideal sources of energy for powerful ninjas with sinister intentions.

"Let me go," Daemon hissed. "You're a Konoha ninja. I won't do anything to you, but I don't want to endanger this village. So, if you don't want to die, release me now."

His words were sharp, and his eyes burned with anger as he began to release powerful chakra. For months, he had suppressed his strength to remain hidden in this quiet village. But if Reiki intended to press the matter, Daemon was prepared to act—because above all, he did not want to die.

"Is that so..." Reiki said, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Go ahead, try. If you think you still have what it takes."

Despite Daemon being older—around 13 or 14—Reiki's nonchalant demeanor irked him further.

"Hmph! Do you think this sealing technique can restrain my chakra?" Daemon sneered. "Have you forgotten who I am? I'm an Uzumaki!"

Without hesitation, Daemon reached into his pouch and pulled out a seal. In one swift motion, he dismantled the chakra-sealing technique Reiki had applied.

"Child's play," he said smugly.

However, just as Daemon prepared to retaliate and escape, he realized that Reiki's grip on his arm hadn't slackened. It felt as unyielding as iron, and no matter how much strength he used, he couldn't break free.

"Impossible..." Daemon muttered, his confidence faltering.

"See, that kind of strength isn't going to cut it," Reiki teased. "When Kushina-san sparred with me, her strength was far greater than yours. Are you really an Uzumaki, or did you dye your hair red for attention?"

Reiki's words stung, and Daemon's pride took a hit.

The village chief, observing the situation, rushed forward in a panic. He grabbed Reiki and shouted, "Run, quickly! I'll hold him off!"

Both Reiki and Daemon froze at the chief's dramatic intervention.

"Village Chief," Reiki said calmly, "it seems like you're not feeling well. You should rest for a while."

With a gentle tap to the chief's forehead, Reiki knocked him unconscious and laid him down carefully.

"Now, where were we..." Reiki began, but before he could finish, Daemon lunged at him again. His taijutsu was impressive—powerful and precise. By most standards, Daemon's abilities were on par with those of a seasoned jonin, bolstered by his massive chakra reserves and knowledge of sealing techniques.

But against Reiki, it wasn't enough.

Reiki easily dodged and countered every move. To him, this fight felt like bullying a child. Daemon, on the other hand, grew more desperate with every failed attack. His strikes became wild, his chakra surging uncontrollably, but Reiki remained unfazed.

"This can't be... A medical ninja?! How can he be this strong?" Daemon thought, his confidence unraveling.

Unaware of recent developments in Konoha, Daemon had no idea that medical ninjas like Reiki could possess such overwhelming combat prowess. Isolated in the village, he had remained ignorant of the outside world, including the advancements of Konoha's ninja training.

"Who are you, really?" Daemon demanded, his voice trembling with a mix of frustration and fear. "You're here for me, aren't you? Well, I'll tell you this—I'd rather die than become a slave in your hands!"

Without warning, Daemon raised his hand and plunged it into his own chest. A destructive wave of chakra erupted from within, severing his meridians and causing his chakra to disperse violently. Blood gushed from the wound, and his body began to collapse.

This was the Uzumaki clan's ultimate act of defiance: a method of suicide designed to preserve their dignity. Their strong bodies and immense vitality made them difficult to kill, but this self-inflicted technique ensured a quick, albeit agonizing, death.

[They lied... It hurts so much. How could the elders say it wouldn't hurt?] Daemon's thoughts swirled in despair.

"You've got some guts," Reiki said, shaking his head. "To commit suicide in front of me... That's bold. But unfortunately for you, you won't die here—not like this."

Reiki stepped closer, his hands already glowing with medical chakra. Daemon's condition was critical, his meridians shredded, but Reiki didn't seem concerned.

Originally, Reiki had planned to teach Daemon a lesson before treating him. But now, Daemon had done all the work himself.

"You..." Daemon croaked weakly. "You can't... fix this... No medical ninja can..."

But as Reiki's hands worked, Daemon felt the impossible happening. His shattered meridians began to mend, his chakra flow stabilizing. The healing process was swift, and in less than half an hour, he would be completely recovered.

"How..." Daemon muttered, his disbelief mounting. "Who are you...?"

Reiki smirked. "My teacher is Konoha's greatest medical sage—Lady Senju Tsunade. Her grandmother, Mito Uzumaki, is one of your clan's finest. And the current Hokage's wife, Uzumaki Kushina, is like family to me."

He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "With connections like that, why would I want to harm you? Now, sit still. Let me finish treating you."

Daemon fell silent, staring at Reiki with a mixture of awe and confusion. For the first time in years, he felt something other than fear—he felt hope.
