Chapter 259: Chapter 259: The Beast-Tailed Kaguya
"Is that a wolf? A badger? A rabbit?"
Still reeling from the revelation of Little Leopard's true identity, Naruto and Sasuke were once again stunned by Kaguya's transformation.
However, they quickly regained their composure, each preparing for battle, ready to assist Kirito at any moment.
The beast-tailed Kaguya immediately extended a whipping tail toward Little Leopard, tightly wrapping its round body over and over. But the Little Leopard didn't sit idly by—it struggled to free its forelimbs from Kaguya's grasp, grabbed hold of the tail coiled around its body, and bit down hard with its sharp fangs.
"Roar!" The excruciating pain from its tail being torn made Kaguya howl. Yet, more tails sprouted from her back, aiming to completely bind the cub.
The Little Leopard, tethered by its tail to stabilize its chakra in the space, was unable to dodge Kaguya's attack and could only thrash about to avoid being completely immobilized.
Meanwhile, Kirito stood motionless, seemingly planning something, making no immediate moves. However, Naruto and Sasuke, seeing Little Leopard at a disadvantage, grew anxious.
Regardless of the Ten-Tails' association with destruction and evil, the Little Leopard was now their ally in the fight against Kaguya. Watching their comrade in peril, Naruto couldn't just stand by.
In the next instant, Naruto activated the power of his "Six Paths Sage Mode," summoning a spinning Rasenshuriken above his head. Simultaneously, Sasuke summoned Susanoo, readying a bow and arrow laced with black flames.
In unison, the two unleashed their strongest attacks on Kaguya's extended tails:
"Sage Art: Wind Release: Rasenshuriken!"
"Amaterasu: Flame Control!"
A terrifying storm, intertwined with black flames, exploded on Kaguya's tails. But as the flames and wind swirled, they were swiftly absorbed by Kaguya's white tails, leaving no trace of damage.
"She completely devoured the chakra," Sasuke observed grimly.
Realizing that ninjutsu was ineffective, Naruto and Sasuke knew their options were limited to physical combat. However, the massive size difference between them and Kaguya made even this difficult. If they summoned the Tailed Beast or full-body Susanoo, Kaguya could simply absorb their chakra.
"We can't let her win," Naruto declared resolutely.
Without hesitation, Naruto drew upon the Nine-Tails' chakra, gradually forming the outline of Kurama around him. Just as he was about to strike, Kirito, who had been still until now, suddenly extended his hands outward.
Shua! The space near Little Leopard collapsed as an irregular, square-shaped portal materialized. From a distance, the dark portal resembled a black hole, consuming all light.
Sensing the sudden activation of Kirito's Yomotsu Hirasaka, Kaguya, who retained a shred of rationality, instinctively felt threatened. She tried to retreat from the space portal, but the previously struggling Little Leopard suddenly surged with energy. Using its forelegs, it gripped Kaguya's tail tightly and yanked her to the ground.
"Roar!" With an unexpected burst of strength, Little Leopard successfully pulled Kaguya from the air. However, their positions remained locked in a stalemate, both suspended mid-air near the ground.
"Naruto, Sasuke," Kirito called out, "I'll drag Kaguya into the space portal I've opened. You don't need to follow me—I'll return after I deal with her."
"Don't you need help?" Naruto asked, the Yang Power seal glowing on his palm. "You'll need the Six Paths Sage's seal to contain her."
Sasuke added, "And Kaguya can instantly jump to another dimension. Even if you take her there, she'll escape quickly."
"Don't worry," Kirito reassured them. "Once inside, she won't be able to escape, and I have my own way of sealing her." Chakra surged from Kirito's body as he continued, "All I need is for you to help push her into the portal."
Though uncertain, Naruto and Sasuke chose to trust Kirito. Naruto's golden chakra solidified into the form of the Nine-Tails, while Sasuke, unable to summon a full-body Susanoo due to low chakra reserves, merged his chakra with Naruto's. Together, they formed a set of simple armor for the Nine-Tails.
"Let's go!" Naruto shouted.
Naruto controlled the armored Nine-Tails, slamming it into Kaguya's back, forcing her closer to the portal.
Boom! With a deafening crash, Kaguya's body hit the ground. The Little Leopard, prepared for this moment, severed its own tail's connection to the earth and firmly wrapped Kaguya in its binding tails. Entangled in a chaotic mess of limbs and tails, the Little Leopard began dragging Kaguya toward the portal.
Kaguya struggled fiercely, but Little Leopard's sheer strength forced her forward, inch by inch, toward the dark gateway.
"Good, just like that... Huh?"
Suddenly, Kaguya vanished in a puff of smoke.
Kirito, using his Byakugan, immediately located her. He had been monitoring her backup plans, anticipating her escape.
Kaguya, having reverted to her original form, darted nimbly between the Little Leopard's tails, aiming directly for the cub's body with a deadly All-Killing Ash Bones attack.
"Fortunately, I was ready..." Kirito muttered.
Just as the deadly bone spikes formed in Kaguya's palm, Kirito appeared in her path. Anticipating his approach, Kaguya swung her weaponized hand toward his head, but Kirito ignored the attack, rushing toward her.
Puff! The bone spike pierced Kirito's raised left arm, but he pressed forward, wrapping Kaguya in a tight embrace and propelling both of them into the space portal.
On the other side, as the portal began to close, Little Leopard scrambled toward it. Naruto and Sasuke tried to follow, but Little Leopard's tail blocked their path. All they could do was watch as the Little Leopard entered the portal, which then vanished into thin air.
