Chapter 240: Chapter 240: Uchiha Obito

Normally, Tsunade wouldn't have known Obito, a "little man" who "heroically sacrificed" himself in his youth.

His sacrifice came too early, and his active time on the battlefield was too short. As a result, unless someone specifically studied Kakashi's past or delved into the records of the Fourth Hokage, they wouldn't pay much attention to Uchiha Obito, the young hero who gave his life to save his comrades.

After the Five Kage Summit, when Kakashi pointed out that the masked man's ability bore a resemblance to his own Kamui, Konoha's higher-ups began focusing on this character, previously overlooked. It was then that Tsunade took a closer look at the original owner of Kakashi's Sharingan.

There was a brief hypothesis that the masked man could be Obito. However, Kakashi dismissed the idea, reasoning that Obito's half body had been completely crushed by a boulder, leaving no chance of survival. With that, the theory was shelved.

But now, as the mask shattered and revealed a wrinkled half of a familiar face, Tsunade quickly connected the masked man's identity with the youthful figure she had seen in his file.

Seeing her strange reaction, Gaara asked, "Hokage, do you know him?"

His words drew the attention of the other three Kage. None of them expected Tsunade to recognize the man responsible for turning the ninja world upside down.

"Yes," Tsunade said, exhaling deeply. "He resembles a hero from Konoha, someone we believed had died years ago. No one suspected him because we all thought he was gone. I didn't expect…"

"A dead hero?" Ai asked suspiciously. "Did he fake his death to stay hidden?"

Tsunade shook her head. "I don't know. He was just a teenager when he died. The man here only looks like that boy. I can't say for certain."

"Regardless," Onoki said, "if we know his origins, we can find a way to deal with him."

Tsunade thought of Kakashi. Kakashi, who had carried the burden of guilt over Obito and Rin, would be crushed to learn that the masked man was, in fact, Obito.

The Gokage vs. Obito

The Five Kage stood directly below the massive Ten Tails, their eyes locked onto Obito.

Obito, still connected to the beast, remained calm. "Gokage. I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly."

"Are you Uchiha Obito?" Tsunade asked bluntly. "The real Uchiha Madara is long dead. Stop trying to deceive us with false identities!"

To Tsunade's surprise, Obito acknowledged her. "I didn't expect someone to recognize me after so many years. Yes, I am Uchiha Obito. Remember this name; it's the name of the man who will destroy this world."

"Arrogant fool," Onoki sneered, gathering white light in his palms. "How can you defeat us when you're barely controlling the Ten Tails?"

"It's time to end this!" Mei Terumi declared, her hands forming a seal as chakra gathered in her throat.

With a wave of his hand, Gaara summoned enormous palms of sand that surged up from the ground and ensnared Obito.

"Sand Waterfall Funeral!"

The sand compressed instantly, but just as it solidified, a tremendous invisible force erupted—Shinra Tensei—blasting the sand and everything around it away.

"Melting Apparition Technique!"

The moment the force subsided, Mei unleashed a torrent of acidic liquid aimed directly at Obito.

"If you want to control the Ten Tails, you can't dodge these attacks," Mei challenged. "So what will you do? Sacrifice the Ten Tails or dissolve into nothing?"

Obito, however, didn't flinch. He raised his hands, absorbing the acid into his Rinnegan. The residual acid splashed onto the Ten Tails, making the beast howl in irritation.

"So you have the Rinnegan," Ai observed grimly. "But can you block this?"

Enveloped in his Lightning Release Armor, Ai launched forward like a thunderbolt. "Lightning Plow Hot Blade!"

Just as Ai's devastating blow was about to strike, a shadow clone of Obito materialized in his path, activating Kamui.

"Damn it…!" Ai growled as the space around him began to distort, trying to pull him into the void.

But before he could be absorbed, a brilliant white light shattered the clone—Onoki's Dust Release disintegrating it.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

The attack swept toward Obito, but he raised his arm again and absorbed it effortlessly.

"It's useless," Obito said coldly. "That was your best chance, and you failed."

"Opportunities can always be created," Tsunade countered, releasing her Yin Seal and preparing for battle.

Obito laughed. "Foolish. You will never have a chance!"

At that moment, the Ten Tails roared, its body writhing as a terrifying transformation began to unfold.
