Pov : Tatsuya Senju

Looking at my uncle's dejected face, a giggle escaped my mouth, somehow reminding me of Brother Hashirama.
My uncle, clearing his head, replied to my mom's previous question, "The surrounding clans, especially the Terumi, Karatachi, and Hoshigake clans, have been becoming a bit wild for the past few days... The whole shinobi world seems to be stirring up again. According to my predictions, within 10 to 12 years at most, a big war will take place... And at the center, controlling the strings, will be those Daimyos."
He was particularly aggrieved when he mentioned the word "Daimyo." It seemed that feudal lords were hated in this world as well.
I tried to appear confused, hoping to give the impression that I understood very little of their conversation.
My mom hummed, replying stoically, "Hmm, well, we will see, Ashina, I need some rest, and I think Tatsuya will also agree to that fact, so we are leaving for home. But before that, you have cleaned my room, right? RIGHT!!" The last sentence came more as a threat to my uncle, and I could see his hands sweating.
"Yes, Aina, it's all cleaned up. Right now, the house would be pretty empty, as my wife had left for the border for some inspections," he replied in an almost saluting voice, clearing her doubt. Anyone at first glance might think that my mom was the elder of the siblings.
"And what about Mom and Dad? Are they not present?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow, which somehow accentuated her beauty.
"Father is currently engrossed in his research of sealing arrays at the back of the mountain... You know, the core area. He usually comes back when the sun is about to set.
As for Mom, well, her health hasn't been that good, and before you panic and throw any tantrum, know that she is resting at home, so you will definitely meet her when you reach there," my uncle explained, detailing the whereabouts of the household members.
In a flash, my mom threw a kick towards my uncle, and I was pretty sure that she had definitely used a bit of her strength, as the air vibrated as she moved.
My uncle, not paying attention and seemingly engrossed in his explanation, caught sight of the kick when it was very close to connecting with his chest. He tried his best to move, his instinct warning him, but a loud "Boom" could be heard as he was thrashed into the sunken furniture.
"Ouch!! That was unnecessary," his grueling voice could be heard as he struggled to get up from the rubble.
By the time he could recover, my mom had already departed with a quick pace, carrying me in her embrace. Looking back at my uncle, he was mostly unscathed, softly shaking his head and sighing.
Within 5-8 minutes, we came across a large, isolated house surrounded by nature. My mom continued walking, and I could see a stone lead pathway guiding us to the house.
It was definitely old, and at first glance, one might think it was an abandoned house. Closing on it, all I could hear were the sounds of rushing water, likely from an elevated pond nearby, the cooing of birds, and the gentle movement of trees producing a soothing breeze.
My mom, without any pretense, walked up to the sliding gate, which had iron rods placed vertically. As soon as she touched it, I could see rapid movement of chakra flowing from her hands into the gate and then to the surrounding walls in a circuit-like form.
"Wow," I exclaimed aloud, gazing as the gate opened just like any other, with no one comprehending the mechanics behind it.
"What happened, son? Did you find this place too beautiful?" she asked, her legs continuing to move forward as the main gate swung open.
"The movement of chakra when you pushed through the gate was pretty amazing... I mean, I've never seen that back at our house in the Senju clan land," I told her, sharing my surprising discovery.
Her face lit up with a smile, and she voiced her excitement in a lively tone, "It seems, Tatsuya, your eyes are specifically made for sealing formations. Hihihi!"
She chuckled, saying that, as she opened yet another gate - this one leading to the entrance of the house. Unlike the main gate, there was no flow of chakra or security tags attached to this one.
A frown crossed my face, which I quickly hid, thinking, 'If my ocular abilities are limited to only this extent, helping me learn sealing jutsu, then it won't be as helpful as I had originally planned.' Fuinjutsu definitely had a lot of untapped potential, but that clearly wasn't my style. Sealing jutsus would be more helpful for me to control, strategize, and plan counterattacks against enemies.
Maybe, just maybe, with my ability, if I could grasp the intricacies of space through the help of sealing techniques, then I could develop the Flying Thunder God technique way before Second Brother had originally done.
In the original timeline, Minato and Tobirama were both Fuinjutsu Grandmasters... and to actually learn F.T.G., one had to have deep knowledge of Fuinjutsu with an innate ability of space.
I should start my calligraphy lessons, then, since due to my undeveloped body, Mom would never allow me to physically practice, yet.
On entering the house, we came in a large room with various furniture placed in an orderly manner came into view. The house itself radiated warmth, as if you could fall asleep there and then. Mom, after taking off our footwear, marched towards a room - the third one in line.. .
As she swung the door open without knocking, a tired but sweet voice could be heard, "Aina dear, you're back... It's good to see you, ya know." An old woman, resting on a bed, her upper body lifted, held a book, flipping through its pages, but her face had already turned towards us, and she smiled.
Her dull blue eyes darted towards me, and a teasing smile instantly appeared on her face. "Oh, who is this? Hmm, come here, let me see," she exclaimed.
Mom, without any hesitation, placed me in her arms, while asking, "How, Mom, how did your vitality drop so low? What happened?" Her concerned voice echoed as she glanced at the old woman, who I presumed to be my maternal grandmother.
Touching my cheeks, her eyes peered into mine, and I could feel it, as if all my thoughts were laid bare. Although there was not much to hide, except for my transmigration.
"He is unique," she whispered, completely ignoring my mom's concerned question.
"Mom, first tell me what happened. How did you fall into such a state?" Mom continued asking, her hand taking Grandma's wrist, seemingly searching for the reason.
Grandma snapped back from her stupor, "Nothing, dear... I just tried to peer into the future." She replied stoically, then looked at me again, a beautiful smile etched on her face, saying, "Hello there, little one, I'm your gra-"
""Huhhhh!""
Both Mom and I shouted, trying our best to get back from her previous remark, interrupting her in the midst of her introduction.
A shocking expression appeared on Mom's face as she asked, "How? I know that you have been trying many things with those sophisticated seals, but is that even possible?"
Grandma, seemingly unperturbed, replied, "Indeed... But it came at a cost... I lost 97 years of my lifespan... At most, two years more then I'll be gone." Uzumakis were naturally known for their long lifespan... That's why Uzushiogakure was also known as the 'Village of Longevity.'
Tears welled up in my eyes... I didn't know why... This was supposed to be my first meeting with her... She was a completely foreign being to me... But somehow, it felt like I was definitely going to lose something major in the following years.
"Now, now, don't cry, little one... This is supposed to be our first meeting," she said, taking out a small, blue-colored bean from an open jar present on her bedside and stuffing it into my mouth.
'Ah, that's good.'My mood soared as I lost myself in the taste of the sweet she had given me... Though tears still threatened to fall from my eyes.
" But why mom... Even if you had developed such a technique... Why did you use your lifespan in exchange for it.. Why?? " She asked in a pleading voice as tears flowed down from her eyes.
