Mirai chuckled. "Hachida, your flattery is improving."

Looking dead serious, Hachida declared, "Captain, I mean every word of it. We Uchihas don't engage in empty flattery."

"Ha! Hahaha…" Mirai couldn't help but laugh, his already good mood lifted even further.

Inside the spacious living room, Uchiha Mikoto and a few others were busy preparing dinner.

Instead of looking away, Mirai met her eyes and replied with a faint smile, "Konan, tonight…"

"You'll need to fulfill the promise you made to me first!" she interrupted hastily, her cheeks burning.
