Chapter 35: 35. Kekkei genkai!
'Steal!!' Reko instantly thought of activating his kekkei genkai. The kekkei genkai activated, he could feel a pulse of pervasive energy running inside his body.
...
Suddenly his vision changed, his point of view changed from his own to someone's else. He could feel as if he was in body of another person spiritually.
He could feel the division of chakra, molding of chakra, and how it all formed a chain and connected together to become a ninjutsu. Reko was able to see and feel it all as if his soul had gone into Tsume's body.
*Poof* A dense smoke appeared around Tsume's position. As the smoke cleared, Reko could see the silhouette of another figure which was similar to that of Tsume.
"How about this? If you manage to beat both my shadow clone and me in the spar then I'd allow you to have both of us." Tsume winked in a playful manner as she gave Reko another challenge and the respective reward before the spar.
As the smoke cleared around the clone, Reko was able to see the figure of Tsume standing close to another Tsume, the shadow clone.
It was surprising for Reko, a human from the normal world to see a person appear out of nowhere. Not to mention, it was a clone with same thoughts and brain, even their skills and memories would be shared after the shadow clone dissipates.
"Hmm? For real? I would love that!!" Reko answered positively. How could he say no to Tsume's shadow clone and Tsume, both of them at the same time?
Reko was overjoyed by the proposal. Though, before he could check the results of his kekkei genkai, the clone and Tsume could not wait anymore and attacked him together.
There no kunai involved, just body against body. While he had expected that it would be difficult to defeat Tsume, he did not expect her to be this overwhelming against him.
When in sync with the shadow clone, Tsume's strength grew multiple times. It was not that he was getting harder. Instead, he was getting hit more. The frequency of Reko getting hit increased when one vs two.
Reko was only able to hold his ground because of the dynamic vision like passive ability which seemed to help him react almost instantly.
Even though he was getting punched and kicked, he was still able to get in some hits. Unfortunately, the shadow clone did not dissipate from just that much damage, showing the immense endurance of Tsume's body.
'She is a Inozuka clan member. Of course, she performs better when partnered with someone. She naturally knows how to best make use of the teamwork.' Reko thought to himself, his opponent was a taijutsu specialist and from the clan with best team workers.
There was no way Reko would be able to beat Tsume again like last time.
'But anyways, I am getting closer to achieve chakra enhancement on my attacks. Tsume seems to be stalling on purpose to let me practice more.' Reko was trying to use chakra enhancement on his attacks. He was trying to figure out the correct balance of chakra to increase his damage.
Tsume seemed to understand what he was doing and thus she was only defending primarily with her body, and the clone seemed to attack.
The shadow clone has low endurance compared to the original body. So, that's why she was coordinating with the clone in such a way that it would not be dissipated.
'He is showing rapid improvement!! He is able to react to all of my attacks already. His reaction time already matches mine.' Tsume thought in her mind as she continued to spar with Reko.
She was already feeling that it would get difficult for her shadow clone to last against Reko if she did not use chakra enhancement.
Tsume was waiting for Reko to pick it by himself and then she could use it too.
*Poof* Reko kicked the clone causing her to dissipate but at the same time Tsume also kicked him off, finishing the battle with his victory.
'Did he just use the chakra enhancement slightly?' Reko had tried retaliating against Tsume's attack and his attack seemed strong.
Tsume assumed that Reko must have really gotten something out of this battle.
"You lost! But pretty good for your fight against two opponents!" Tsume complimented Reko's battle prowess as she sat near Reko.
"Thanks. I appreciate your help." Reko thwnke her as he was seated, taking a rest after the intense battle. Even though he lost, he still had to concentrate on the battle and give his best.
His reaction speed and his reflexes had remarkably increased, that was the reason why he was able to beat the clone though barely.
But right now, he was finally looking at the system screen to check if his kekkei genkai worked.
...
Shadow clone jutsu (7/10) level 0.
Incomplete Jutsu!! Cannot be used!!
Learn again or practice.
Steal (1/3 charges).
...
'The kekkei genkai gives you a thorough experience, a pov from the target's body and mind. It's upto you how much you can understand and learn from the experience.' Reko recalled the Instant when he had activated Steal, his kekkei genkai.
He felt as if he had his soul switched with Tsume. It was as if he was the one performing the jutsu.
The kekkei genkai worked better than he had expected. Even though the system screen showed his Jutsu to be incomplete, he could still perform it with little training.
'Better than getting it without any logic, with this, I can hope to learn any ninjutsu as long as I have scroll of the jutsu.' Reko thought that this worked better than magically learning the ninjutsu.
With this he could even learn how the body reacted to a certain jutsu, and could perform it better than the original user in some cases.
But this was not possible right now, not before he could gain increased chakra control.
"I want to learn a ninjutsu from you. Shadow clone jutsu!" Reko looked at Tsume sitting close to him as he made a request to her.
"Shadow clone jutsu... I see. You do possess chakra reserves sufficient for learning it. Your strength is also getting closer to that of a Tokubetsu Jonin." Tsume looked at Reko before muttering that it was indeed possible for Reko to learn it.
