Naruto: Maelstrom Of The Uzumaki

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Home Visit, Invitation from the Hatake Household!

As evening fell, Raiden Uzumaki wandered through Konoha after parting with Kakashi and eventually returned to his residence. His small courtyard, located away from the bustling village center, was quiet and solitary. Since Kushina had chosen to stay at the Senju clan's old estate for its proximity to the hospital, Raiden had the expansive house entirely to himself.

Upon arriving home, Raiden entered his study to organize and archive the scrolls he always carried with him. He also reinforced the room's security with intricate sealing techniques—an art he had refined further during his time in Mount Myoboku. Over the years, his training in Sage arts, sealing techniques, and physical combat had pushed him to surpass his limits. The bloodline of the Uzumaki clan coursing through him had matured fully, further enhancing his prowess.

Just as Raiden finished placing the scrolls and recalibrating the seals, a voice called out from beyond the courtyard gate.

"Teacher Raiden! Are you home?"

Hearing the voice, Raiden raised an eyebrow. His residence was a well-kept secret, with only a handful of people privy to its location. For added security, five Anbu teams patrolled the area to deter any unwanted visitors. Curious, Raiden extended his sensory perception to confirm the visitor's identity.

"Kakashi? What could he want at this hour?" Raiden muttered. Without hesitation, he left the study and headed to the gate.

"I'm coming!"

As he opened the gate, Kakashi's face lit up with a mix of relief and excitement.

"Teacher Raiden! You're here!"

Raiden chuckled softly. "Kakashi, what are you doing here? And, more importantly, how did you find this place?"

"My father told me," Kakashi explained, his voice slightly shy. "He wanted me to invite you to dinner at our house. He said he'd like to chat with you."

Raiden raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Dinner at the Hatake household? That's unexpected. Alright, when does your father want me over?"

"Tonight!" Kakashi answered eagerly. "Please come with me, Teacher Raiden. I'll guide you there."

Raiden hesitated briefly before nodding. "Alright, wait here a moment. I'll grab something, and we'll head out."

After retrieving Sakegari no Tachi, the long black blade strapped to his waist, Raiden rejoined Kakashi. The young boy couldn't contain his curiosity as they walked through the woods together.

"Teacher Raiden, can I ask you a question?" Kakashi inquired, his wide eyes darting toward the sword.

Raiden smiled. "What's on your mind, Kakashi?"

"That sword on your waist... it's so long! It doesn't look like a typical ninja weapon. What's its history?"

Raiden lightly patted the blade's hilt. "This is the Sakegari no Tachi. It's an heirloom passed down to me by my elders. I've rarely been without it since I received it."

"Wow!" Kakashi's eyes sparkled with admiration. "Is it a weapon used by a legendary ninja? Your swordsmanship must be incredible, Teacher Raiden!"

Raiden chuckled. "Swordsmanship? It's decent enough. But when it comes to mastery with a blade, no one in Konoha surpasses your father, Sakumo Hatake."

Kakashi beamed with pride at the compliment. His father's skills were legendary, and hearing them praised by someone like Raiden only deepened his admiration.

Arrival at the Hatake Household

After a pleasant ten-minute walk, the pair reached the Hatake residence. The Hatake clan, though an established ninja family in Konoha, was small in number. Their estate was modest compared to the sprawling compounds of larger clans like the Hyuga or Uchiha. Located at the village's outskirts, the house exuded a sense of tranquility.

By the time Raiden and Kakashi arrived, dusk had settled. Standing at the door were Sakumo Hatake and his wife, quietly awaiting their guest.
