Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Perona's Nightmare

"I found it! It's here!"

Violet pushed open a hidden door disguised as a wall, revealing the scene inside.

Perona, the Ghost Princess, lay sprawled on the bed, her body twitching. Foam bubbled at the corners of her mouth, her eyes had turned into spirals like mosquito coils, and she looked utterly deranged.

"Hahaha! Serves her right!" Ulti burst into laughter at Perona's miserable state. But Charlotte Pudding beside her scoffed, "You didn't even defeat her, so what are you so proud of?"

"Damn three-eyes, you wanna fight?!"

"Maybe. I'm just afraid someone will lose and start making excuses again!"

Shin ignored the bickering between Ulti and Pudding and walked straight to Perona. Without hesitation, he infused her with pure Yin chakra.

Mental injuries were the most difficult to heal. Even though Shin had reached the pinnacle of physical treatment—able to regenerate lost limbs or even restore someone from near death—he still lacked effective methods to treat psychological trauma.

Fortunately, his chakra system was nearly on par with a pure-blooded Otsutsuki. By flooding Perona with strong Yin chakra, he managed to restore a portion of her mental clarity. Though the healing effect was limited, sheer volume made up for it. Perona quickly regained consciousness, though her head throbbed painfully, and her body felt sluggish.

When she finally took in her surroundings and saw the enemies gathered around her—some with eager expressions—she immediately wanted to faint again.

"E-Eeeek! Y-You... What do you want from me?!"

"Whahahaha!" Ulti cackled like a villain before smirking. "What do you think, little girl? You tried to trick us, didn't you?!"

"Correction, you were the only one fooled," Pudding interjected.

"Shut up! Can't you see I'm interrogating her?!"

"But we don't need an interrogation. I can extract memories directly with my Memory-Memory Fruit."

"Alright, both of you, stop wasting time." Shin sighed, rubbing his temple. Ulti and Pudding huffed and turned away from each other.

Shin then looked down at Perona. Before she could react, black energy surged from his palm and engulfed her.

Moments later, Perona was ejected from the dark space, and Shin held a Hollow-Hollow Fruit in his hand.

"Pudding, haven't you been training your spirit projection technique to enhance your spiritual power? This Ghost-Ghost Fruit should be perfect for that."

"I'll extract your Memory-Memory Fruit first, replace it with this one, and once you're done training, I can switch it back."

Pudding's eyes lit up. "I didn't even think that was possible! This is perfect!"

Dizzy and disoriented, Perona glanced up and saw the Ghost-Ghost Fruit in Shin's hand. Her face turned pale. "Hey, wait... Isn't that my Devil Fruit?! What did you do?!"

She stretched out her hand, trying to summon a ghost, but nothing happened. Her expression shifted dramatically.

"Y-You took my Hollow-Hollow Fruit... Wait! Are you that infamous predator?!"

The Florian Triangle was so isolated that even news birds avoided it, making information scarce. Perona had only heard the term "Plunderer" from a few unfortunate souls who had wandered into the area.

But now, seeing Shin steal her Devil Fruit so effortlessly, she finally pieced everything together—and she didn't like the picture.

Although she had faith in Gecko Moria, she was aware that he had once been defeated by Kaido. However, the Plunderer had managed to defeat Kaido.

Kaido's strength was undeniable. The fact that Moria had been hiding in the first half of the Grand Line, creating zombies instead of seeking revenge, proved the gap between them.

But if Shin was even stronger than Kaido... wouldn't that mean Moria stood no chance at all?

Realization dawned on her. Her face twisted in horror.

"U-Uh... You already took my Devil Fruit, so can you just let me go now?"

Despite the grief of losing her Devil Fruit, her survival instinct screamed louder.

"Oh, you wanna leave?" Ulti sneered, cracking her knuckles. Her body morphed into its hybrid dinosaur form. "Sure, I can send you off right now!"

She extended her razor-sharp claws, letting them dangle menacingly in front of Perona's face.

Perona curled into a ball, trembling violently. "Waaah! No, no! I don't want to go anymore!"

"Alright, Ulti." Shin shook his head. "Stop scaring her."

Perona exhaled in relief, glancing at Shin gratefully.

"Wait a second," Pudding suddenly interjected. "Shouldn't we just kill her? We still need to deal with Moria."

"Sigh~" Perona, who had just relaxed, instantly tensed up again. Her vision swam, her body went limp, and with a soft groan, she fainted on the spot.

"What a coward." Ulti scoffed.

Shin sighed and looked between Ulti and Pudding. One was brash, the other cunning. Their personalities were quite troublesome.

"Pudding, since you're the one using the Ghost-Ghost Fruit in the end, stop scaring her," Shin said, tossing the fruit in his hand. "Before I switch your Devil Fruits, use your ability to check her memories. That way, you can gain some insight into how to best utilize the Hollow-Hollow Fruit."

"As for dealing with Moria, unless you really can't handle him, I won't step in. This is your chance to grow stronger. You've been training your spirit projection technique—with the Hollow-Hollow Fruit, you should be able to master it and significantly enhance your spiritual power."

Pudding nodded, gripping the fruit in her hands with newfound determination.
