Twisting his waist, Gen launched a powerful spinning kick aimed directly at Ono's head.

First, he had used the Substitution Technique to evade, then he threw shurikens as a distraction, and finally, he closed the offensive with his Taijutsu. His movements were fluid and aggressive, giving Ono no room to react.

But Ono was no novice. As soon as he felt the whistle of the wind behind him, he turned and crossed his arms to block.

Bang

The impact resounded forcefully as the kick collided with his arms.

"AARGH!" Ono let out a strangled cry.

The blow was much stronger than he had anticipated, an inhuman force that coursed through his arms like lightning.

Pain spread immediately, and the intensity of the impact made him stagger backward without being able to prevent it.

He was forced to drag his feet along the ground, leaving marks as he retreated to dissipate some of the force.

Almost ten meters later, he finally managed to stabilize himself, but his mind was still trapped in astonishment. Gen's kick not only had overwhelming power, but it also revealed an extraordinary level of physical endurance.

Taijutsu could be enhanced with chakra, yes, but not without limits. It wasn't simply about having large chakra reserves and increasing the attack's power without restrictions.

There were two key factors that regulated this.

First, the chakra flow.

This was seen in the Eight Inner Gates technique. The body's chakra had to pass through eight control points, each designed to regulate the amount of energy flowing and thus prevent the body from suffering irreparable damage. No matter how large a ninja's reserves were, chakra could only circulate within the limits that these points established.

Then, there was the body's endurance.

Again, the Eight Inner Gates were the clearest proof of this. No matter how much chakra someone had, if their body couldn't withstand it, their muscles, bones, and organs would suffer severe damage.

Of course, these limitations were not fixed. They depended on each individual's physical strength. The stronger their body, the greater the amount of chakra they could handle without self-destruction, and their control points would also expand to allow a higher flow of energy.

That's why Ono was so surprised.

Gen's kick had not only demonstrated an overwhelming amount of chakra but also made it clear that his body was incredibly resilient, at the level of an elite Chūnin specialized in Taijutsu.

Ono, on the other hand, was an elite Chūnin focused on Ninjutsu. Even while alert and keeping his guard up, he had almost been taken down by a single blow.

The impact he had felt lasted only an instant. He couldn't afford distractions on the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Gen wasted no time. At the very moment he landed, his hands moved at an impressive speed, forming seals before inhaling deeply and exhaling a colossal fireball several meters in diameter that hurtled directly toward Ono.

His speed in forming seals was astonishing, almost three per second. He barely gave Ono time to react.

The gigantic sphere of flames advanced with devastating power, illuminating the surroundings with its glow.

Ono's eyes widened. His instincts kicked in instantly, forcing him to retreat as he hurriedly formed seals to unleash a defensive jutsu.

'Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall'

Just as the Great Fireball was about to reach him, his jutsu activated in time. A several-meter-high and wide earth wall emerged in front of him, positioning itself between the two.

Boom

The collision between fire and rock generated an explosion of burning fragments that shot out in all directions. The earth wall withstood only a brief moment before giving way, cracking under the intensity of the flames until it finally exploded into a rain of embers.

"Not only is his seal speed impressive... his mastery of Fire Jutsu has reached a remarkable level."

From the observation platform, Orochimaru crossed his arms, watching the scene with interest.

Between the fire element and the earth element, there was no direct relationship of advantage or disadvantage. Both jutsus were C-rank, which meant that their effectiveness depended entirely on the user's control and skill.

The fact that Gen could destroy Ono's Earth-Style Wall Jutsu with his Great Fireball Jutsu proved that his fire mastery was on another level.

However, despite the overwhelming force of the attack, the brief delay caused by the earth wall gave Ono the fraction of a second he needed to react.

Even before the barrier had completely given way, he had already propelled himself to the side, narrowly evading the flames.

Boom

The gigantic fireball traveled more than twenty meters before crashing into a tree in the arena. Within seconds, the flames completely engulfed it, turning it into a torch.

'Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm'

Ono quickly moved about ten meters before coming to an abrupt stop. Spinning on himself, his hands formed seals at high speed while keeping his gaze fixed on Gen. Without hesitation, he struck the ground forcefully.

Crack

The impact caused the earth to crack instantly. A series of fissures advanced at high speed toward Gen's position, with the clear intention of collapsing the ground beneath his feet and trapping him in the debris.

But Gen reacted the very moment the cracks reached his position. Channeling chakra into his feet, he activated the Body Flicker Jutsu, vanishing from the affected area in a blink.

Not only did he manage to evade the attack, but he also moved with precision, circling around the unstable zone and approaching Ono from the side with astonishing speed.

Swish, swish, swish

Ono sensed the danger and, without wasting a second, canceled the execution of his jutsu. His body launched in the opposite direction, and with a quick hand movement, he unleashed a rain of shuriken in an attempt to block the line of sight between him and Gen.

Clang, Clang, Clang

But Gen was not intimidated. With impeccable body control, he halted his advance instantly and slipped his hands into his ninja tool pouch. While dodging with minimal movements, he pulled out several kunai and used them to deflect the shuriken with precise strikes.

Amid the flash of sparks, not a single shuriken managed to graze him. Some were dodged with quick movements, while others were expertly blocked, leaving the ground around him littered with fallen shuriken.

'Earth Style: Falling Earth Spears'

Gen immediately felt the disturbance in the ground beneath his feet. His instinct told him that something was wrong.

Without wasting time, he leaped away from the area just before several sharp earth spikes violently erupted from the ground.

If his reaction had been a second slower, he would now be impaled like a hedgehog.
