Naruto: Dual System Power At The Beginning

Chapter 80: Chapter 80:- Opening the Fifth Gate

And he had opened the Fifth Gate, but was even stronger than Guy who had opened the Sixth Gate. There's no reason he couldn't learn this move.

At that moment, the door to his room opened. An elderly white-haired man walked into the room.

"Ryousuke, what are you doing? How did you cause such a commotion?"

Entering the room, he saw that everything inside had been blown into disarray, as if a fierce battle had taken place.

The powerful aura emanating from his grandson shocked him deeply. He already knew that Ryousuke had been training in the Eight Gates at home, and hadn't been too concerned.

After all, he was familiar with this technique—it was extremely difficult to master. Some people trained their entire lives without making any progress.

Now, seeing the intense aura from Ryousuke, he suspected that he might have surpassed the Sixth Gate already. Otherwise, how could the energy be this overwhelming?

The elder couldn't help but wonder, 'Could the Eight Gates really be mastered so quickly?'

Ryousuke, noticing his grandfather enter, stopped refining his chakra. The Fifth Gate closed instantly, and his aura dissipated.

"Grandfather, why are you here?"

"Of course, I sensed the disturbance coming from your room, so I came to check," the elder explained. I didn't expect you to have become so powerful. How many gates have you opened in the Eight Gates technique?"

Ryousuke saw no need to hide anything from his grandfather and casually replied, "The Fifth Gate."

The elder's eyes widened. 'The Fifth Gate alone produced such an aura?' He had thought it required the Sixth Gate at least.

Although he hadn't seen many people train in this technique, he knew that the Fifth Gate shouldn't normally be this potent.

Sighing inwardly, he acknowledged Ryousuke wouldn't lie to him. If he said it was the Fifth Gate, it must be true. Who would have thought the Fifth Gate could already exhibit such power?

Could it be that Ryousuke possessed an extraordinary talent for taijutsu, the kind seen only once in a century or even a millennium?

Recalling the clan meeting when Ryousuke used pure taijutsu to send Itachi Uchiha flying, he realized Ryousuke's physical prowess was exceptional.

Though Itachi was young, his taijutsu could hold its own against most Jonin-level opponents.

The elder sighed inwardly, marveling that the Uchiha clan had produced such a rare taijutsu prodigy—it was truly a blessing for the family.

Looking at Ryousuke, he solemnly said, "Ryousuke, never open the Eighth Gate."

His gaze was tinged with pleading. He understood the meaning of opening the Eighth Gate—it meant death. He couldn't bear the thought of outliving his grandson.

Ryousuke sensed his grandfather's concern and quickly reassured him. "Alright, I promise. Honestly, I'm scared of dying, so I won't open the Eighth Gate."

He truly valued his life and wouldn't seek death unless his body grew so strong that opening the Eighth Gate wouldn't harm him.

The Eighth Gate granted a mortal the power to rival the gods. It was impossible not to be tempted.

Perhaps by the time he could open the Eighth Gate, his physical strength would have reached a terrifying level.

If his body became strong enough, it might even allow him to survive opening the Eighth Gate.

After all, his future opponents could include the Otsutsuki clan. The idea of meekly surrendering to them was laughable.

In a life-or-death crisis, he might still resort to opening the Eight Gates Formation.

With his future physical stats, opening all Eight Gates could potentially allow him to slay gods.

The location of the Eighth Gate was in the heart.

The heart was crucial, the engine of life.

Opening the Eighth Gate would cause an explosive surge of power, at least a hundredfold.

For most, the body couldn't handle it, especially the heart. But Ryousuke was different.

As his attributes grew, so too did the strength of his heart. While others couldn't train their hearts, Ryousuke's heart strengthened alongside his body. He might truly have a chance to open the Eighth Gate without dying.

The elder, relieved by his grandson's promise, relaxed slightly. "Alright, then train well."

With that, he left. He had no objections to Ryousuke training at home, especially since the clan was under constant surveillance by the village's ANBU.

The next day, Uchiha Fugaku spread the truth about the failed peace talks between the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Leaf.

This news quickly captured the villagers' attention, and soon the entire village knew the full story.

It turned out that a Hidden Cloud emissary had tried to abduct the Hyuga clan's heiress, only to be killed by the Hyuga patriarch. Yet, the Cloud ninjas had the audacity to demand the Hokage hand over the "murderer" for punishment.

The Uchiha clan staunchly rejected the Hidden Cloud's unreasonable demands.

The Third Hokage, however, proposed sacrificing a village ninja as a scapegoat to appease the Cloud's anger and maintain peace.

When this revelation spread, the entire village erupted.

Both villagers and ninjas were shocked to learn the truth.

Some villagers still blamed the Uchiha clan, believing their defiance caused the peace talks to fail. They hated war, as it brought loss of wealth and life.

To them, sacrificing one person to maintain peace seemed reasonable, even if the Hidden Cloud was in the wrong.

Others, however, were outraged by the Hidden Cloud's deceit and praised the Uchiha clan for standing firm.

Understanding the truth, many felt shame for misjudging the Uchiha. Now they realized the clan had stood for justice, while the real culprits were the Hidden Cloud.

Hearing about the abduction attempt, some villagers were infuriated. The Cloud's aim was obviously to steal the Hyuga clan's Byakugan, which would bolster their power.

If the Cloud grew stronger, it could eventually threaten the Hidden Leaf.

Agreeing to the Third Hokage's proposal might have secured peace, but it would've utterly humiliated the village.

Meanwhile, Might Guy, training alone, heard the news and smiled.

Initially, he thought Ryousuke was a reckless troublemaker disrupting the village's peace. But now he saw the earlier reports were incomplete and misleading.

Relieved, Guy felt even more motivated to train.

His simple philosophy was to protect the village and its people. Sacrificing an innocent didn't align with that principle. His father had taught him to safeguard the village, not to trade lives for peace.

Guy was glad to have judged Ryousuke correctly—a true protector of the village.

———

In the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage was furious.

The truth had leaked and tarnished his reputation. While he admitted some fault in hindsight, he still believed his decision was the best under the circumstances.

The Hidden Cloud was aggressive and ready for war, which could devastate the village.

Sacrificing one ninja to save the village seemed like the lesser evil.

And of course, he didn't want to fight on the front lines himself. He hadn't done so in years.

Besides, his prized students were no longer around.

Orochimaru, his most promising student, had betrayed the village, leaving him deeply saddened.

Tsunade was crippled by her fear of blood, unable to continue as a ninja.

And Jiraiya had abandoned his duties, wandering the world.
