Naruto: Creating Immortal Techniques at Six, Shocking Uncle Snake

Chapter 179: Chapter 174: Ghosts That Don’t Want to Die!

Chapter 174: Ghosts That Don't Want to Die!

After sensing an anomaly in one of the Zanpakutō he had created, Ishihara immediately focused his attention on it.

However, to his surprise, the Zanpakutō conveyed a distinct feeling of disdain toward him and promptly severed their connection!

This left Ishihara deeply shocked. Could it be that a Zanpakutō could develop its own consciousness after being created?

If it truly had its own consciousness, what had just happened to that particular Zanpakutō? Why had it changed so drastically?

Still, Ishihara quickly regained his composure.

No matter what, that Zanpakutō was something he had created.

No matter how powerful it became, there would always be a limit, and ultimately, he could absorb it back into himself.

Besides, if there really was a Zanpakutō more powerful than himself, wouldn't the Sage of Six Paths be the first to react?

After all, based on his repeated attempts to meddle in the shadows, Ishihara was certain of one thing: the Sage of Six Paths feared anyone surpassing him in power.

Otherwise, why would he keep interfering?

"Sigh, thinking too much about it won't help. I'd better continue studying it. That Zanpakutō really piques my curiosity."

A faint smile tugged at Ishihara's lips, and he found himself growing more intrigued.

---

"Ah… this power!"

Jin gripped the Zanpakutō tightly with both hands, his eyes undergoing another transformation!

This time, his eyes turned completely white, resembling the Byakugan.

However, this whiteness exuded a tremendous pressure, unlike anything the Byakugan would typically convey.

"Can that guy really use that sword?"

"He probably can, right? Does that mean he can see us now?"

"No way. If he could, wouldn't he have attacked us already?"

"Ha! He just got his hands on the Zanpakutō. What could he possibly do—kill all of us? If anything, killing him would probably make us stronger, don't you think?"

"Hmm, makes sense. In that case, let's go after him together!"

The group of ghosts began to chatter amongst themselves.

Meanwhile, Jin gripped the Zanpakutō and swung it in the direction of one of the ghosts from a distance.

"Hahaha, see? He can't even see me…"

The ghost who had been targeted laughed mockingly, but the next second, his body was split cleanly in two and then began to fade away into nothingness.

This sight left the ghosts around him utterly stunned.

"What just happened?!"

"From that far away? He hit him directly?"

"Is this a joke? That's his first time wielding the sword?"

"Never mind how many times he's used it—what kind of ability is this?!"

"Oh no, he's looking this way!"

One of the ghosts noticed Jin's gaze shifting toward him and panicked immediately.

He charged toward his companions in desperation.

He didn't want to die, and the only way to survive now was likely to devour his companions to grow stronger!

---

On the other side, Jin's friends watched as he swung his sword into seemingly empty air.

"Did he succeed?"

"Looks like it. Who would've thought Jin could pull it off!"

"Hahaha, the gods must be blessing Shiyun Village! Now we don't have to worry about being wiped out. Our village might even grow more prosperous!"

---

As Jin observed the chaos among the ghosts, he felt a wave of satisfaction. He could even sense the excitement emanating from the Zanpakutō in his hand.

"You want to kill them all too, don't you? Then let's do it—let's kill every last one of them!"

With those words, Jin charged forward with his Zanpakutō, this time no longer striking from a distance.

The ghosts, meanwhile, had descended into complete disorder, turning on one another in an attempt to survive.

Each of them knew that only by devouring their companions and becoming stronger could they hope to stay alive.

Former friends were now enemies, adversaries locked in a deadly struggle.

This only made Jin more determined to eliminate them.

"What a filthy, disgusting bunch. Let me purify all of you!"

Jin swung his blade down at one of the ghosts.

The targeted ghost's pupils contracted in terror as despair engulfed him.

He didn't want to die. He wanted to live.

An unrelenting desire for survival consumed him.

White keratin began to form on his face, and soon, a third of a mask appeared.

Instinctively, he raised his right hand to block Jin's attack.

To Jin's shock, the ghost managed to catch the Zanpakutō mid-swing!

"I don't want to die!"

The ghost roared in fury, memories flooding his mind.

He had been an ordinary human, nearly dying in a fire but surviving with an unshakable will to live.

He was still young and didn't want to die. Yet, in a battle between ninjas, he had been caught in the crossfire and lost his life.

Now, as a ghost, he finally had a chance to exist in this world. There was no way he would willingly die again.

But even among ghosts, there were struggles.

To protect himself and avoid being devoured, he had joined a ghostly organization.

And now, once again facing death, he was unwilling to accept it.

"I don't want to die! Damn it!"
