Chapter 9: Naruto: Check out these scenes! #9
"Speaking of which, Mom and Dad, I have some exciting news—I'm already married and I have a lovely daughter."
Sasuke's eyes sparkled as he pulled out a family photo from his pocket. Sarada's radiant smile graced the picture, capturing a moment of pure happiness.
"What a beautiful granddaughter!" Mikoto exclaimed, her voice bubbling with joy as she leaned closer to the photo, wishing she could hug Sarada right then and there.
Fugaku, trying to maintain his composure, purred, "Looks like someone managed to open your heart?" His stern tone was undercut by the playful glint in his eyes.
"Uh, well… Yeah, her name is Sakura..." Sasuke scratched his head helplessly. In truth, he felt slightly awkward. It had been years of missions while Sakura had dedicated herself to their family in the village.
Despite sending money home, it felt inadequate; he was more of a ghost than a husband or father, coming and going like an apparition. And he knew that Naruto had mentioned Sakura had accidentally destroyed a house while trying to fix up their finances, which surely added to her burdens.
Mikoto snapped out of her thoughts and remarked, "Isn't that the girl who chased after you as a kid?"
"Yeah," Sasuke sighed.
Mikoto couldn't help but poke fun. "Didn't you ignore her at first? What made you marry her in the end?"
"Eh? Is there a story here?"
Mikoto's curious spirit ignited, and she pulled her best friend Kushina closer, eager to gossip about her son's love life.
"Is Kushina-okasama such a gossiper?" Boruto interjected, watching with amusement. His mother, Hinata and Himawari had often looked up to her for her reserved nature, but this was a side of her they rarely saw.
Boruto grinned. His impression of Kushina was still rooted in the moment they had met, long ago. He never quite knew how lively she could be.
"Ah ha ha..." Naruto scratched his head, smiling with a hint of nostalgia. He had been lost in his memories when suddenly—
[It seems that we need to expand the shinobis here. This time, we will make an exception and add more!]
[Uchiha Sakura, Uchiha Sarada, Uzumaki Hinata, and Uzumaki Himawari enter!]
"Wait a second!" Both Naruto and Sasuke shouted, concern flashing across their faces. They didn't want their families to be dragged into this bizarre situation, especially when they had no clue how to escape this strange place.
But the system was relentless. Before they could protest further, several familiar faces appeared before them.
"Naruto? Sasuke?" Their voices echoed in unison, overtaken by surprise and a whirlwind of emotions.
"Dad?"
"Brother!"
As their wives materialized, surprise flickered in their eyes, switching to joy as Himawari instinctively ran into Boruto's embrace.
"They are..." both sets of parents sidled closer, unable to resist the magnetic pull towards the unfolding family reunion.
"Wow! Himawari, you're adorable!" Kushina exclaimed, scooping her granddaughter into a warm embrace.
"Hello, O bāchan!" Sarada chimed in enthusiastically, her tone polite and bright as she greeted Fugaku and Mikoto.
"Good to see you, Sarada-chan." Mikoto smiled softly, reaching down to ruffle Sarada's hair while Fugaku nodded, approval softening his usually stern expression.
"Naruto, where on earth are we?" Hinata asked, concern etching her features.
"Honestly, I don't know either," Naruto admitted with a shrug. "All I know is that this isn't our world, and..."
He and Sasuke quickly explained the strange circumstances to their wives, attempting to ease their worries. The explanations helped calm the air.
"Boruto," he said, watching his son intently, "What's going on with you and Himawari? Why does it look like you've just met?" He couldn't help but wonder.
In Boruto's timeline, things had spiraled out of control; he had swapped identities with Kawaki due to the influence of the omnipotence—it cost them him everything.
However, Himawari simply smiled, "Brother is brother!" Her innocent reassurance warmed Boruto's heart.
Boruto clenched his fist, his head looking at the ground.
His eyes glistened as he responded to his father. Three years ago, he was a carefree boy in Konoha, the son of the heroic Seventh Hokage. Now, with upheaval and loss, he faced loneliness in a shattered existence.
Hinata's heart sank as she noticed the scar across Boruto's eye. "What happened to you?"
"It's nothing, Mom. Just an accident during training…" His voice faltered, trying hard to put on a brave front, yet the smile never quite reached his eyes.
"You can always share with me; I'm always here for you," Hinata urged softly, brushing her fingers through his hair.
"Mother…" Boruto finally lost the grip on his emotions and leaned into her embrace, tears escaping him as he finally let it out.
Though he carried the weight of the world on his young shoulders, the sight of his familiar family was a balm to his weary soul.
"It's rare to see Boruto cry," Sarada remarked with a playful smirk.
"What do you care?" he shot back, lightening the mood as childhood quips ignited laughter among them.
Despite the heavy atmosphere around Boruto's struggles, understanding prevailed, and no one pressed him further.
Sakura, now settled beside Sasuke, surveyed the gathering and sighed, "I can't believe we're surrounded by so many legendary figures." The reality of their extraordinary circumstances began to sink in.
Meanwhile, characters from various ninja villages had gathered, leaving few out of the mix, except for the likes of Akatsuki, who remained under the leadership of Nagato and Konan, seated pleasantly beside Jiraiya.
Itachi's presence was swiftly noted, willingly reuniting, while others, like Deidara, were coerced back to his village.
"Stay put, little brat," Onoki commanded, wrapping Deidara in stone while leaving only his head free.
"Let me go!" Deidara protested, the stubbornness in his voice matching his chaos-driven personality.
Soon enough, Onoki grew weary and formed a stone mask that secured Deidara's mouth shut, silencing his relentless rant.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya, with a nostalgic smile, leaned toward a white-haired man before him. "Hey! What's your name, buddy?"
"I'm Kashin Koji," the man replied, slightly taken aback yet recognizing Jiraiya's familiar demeanor.
Though Koji's origins were entwined with the great Jiraiya, his own personality and values felt disjointed from those of the legendary ninja.
Naruto's expression grew solemn as he spotted Jiraiya, memories flooding back. "It's just that... I haven't seen the pervert sage in a while," he managed a bittersweet smile.
Tsunade caught the sadness lurking in his eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
"Nothing. Just… memories," Naruto reassured her, keeping future sorrows close to his heart.
