Haruto Saito collected a total of thirty-seven cards from the fallen Inoi, plus an additional one earned from defeating a higher-ranked opponent, bringing the total to thirty-eight.

He didn't waste time examining the lower-level attack and defense ninjutsu cards closely. They were all common techniques, nothing remarkable. Inoi's battle ninjutsu had been unimpressive, so Haruto simply consumed those cards without a second thought.

Aside from those, there were about a dozen others worth consideration.

Among them were six sensory-related ninjutsu and secret techniques:

Two C-rank sensory secret techniques

Two B-rank sensory secret techniques

One A-rank sensory secret technique

One S-rank sensory forbidden technique

The Scar Imprint Technique card! This was the S-rank sensory technique. The description explicitly stated that this was the ability Inoi had used to perceive everything within several kilometers. It was a forbidden technique, but Haruto wasn't yet sure what made it so dangerous.

The Tracking Imprint Technique card! This was the A-rank sensory technique. Unlike traditional sensory skills, this one focused on tracking. According to the details, the user could track a previously recorded aura—similar to how ninja hounds track by scent.

As for the other four sensory techniques, they were of little use to Haruto. His Hyper-Sensory Perception was already far superior within a few hundred meters, allowing him to passively sense his surroundings with greater clarity than those techniques could provide.

A technique originally used by Kakuzu in the source material. Haruto had already learned it before, so consuming a second False Darkness card doubled the technique's power!

He absorbed the remaining cards he needed. By the time he reached the waterfall, he had finished sorting through everything. Among the combat ninjutsu, only False Darkness had been a pleasant surprise. The other B-rank and A-rank ninjutsu were unimpressive, as they weren't duplicates and drained too much chakra.

Haruto's chakra reserves were at a jounin level. He could repeatedly use large-scale B-rank techniques without issue, but A-rank techniques? Maybe twice?

Even then, it depended on the attack's range and intensity. Either way, he couldn't use them too often.

For instance, in their current situation, heading southeast meant crossing an open grassland. Even with Tsunade's speed, it would take an hour to traverse, with no cover in sight. The sky was even more exposed—forget the rain falcon, even ordinary scouting birds could easily spot them.

The falcon had appeared half an hour ago and continued to hover in the area. Haruto and his team had no choice but to wait.

"If we use Transformation Jutsu, could we fool the falcon?" Haruto tilted his head and asked.

Both Tsunade and Jiraiya, experienced in missions, remained patient. Only Haruto was growing restless.

"Can't we lure it down?" Haruto pressed.

"Brat! Do you have a death wish? Rain falcons are extremely cautious!" Tsunade snapped. "If you deliberately attract its attention, even the slightest suspicious movement will make it fly higher. Even if you manage to lure it down, killing it won't be easy. So don't even think about it."

"Oh… so it's really fast, huh," Haruto muttered, staring outside.

Tsunade ignored him, thinking his question was pointless.

But she couldn't hear the real question in Haruto's mind—
