Chapter 56: Chapter 56: "You Like It That Much, I Don't Mind If You Move In
Naruto looked at the proud and sulking girl, Sasuke, as she returned to the kitchen to clean up. He couldn't help but comment on Sasuke's behavior objectively.
"Even if she's turned into a girl, she's still not the kind of vase that just believes everything people say."
As he thought about Ichiraku Ramen's business, Naruto instinctively muttered to himself, "System panel."
As soon as he spoke, a blue, semi-transparent system panel appeared in front of him, visible only to him.
[Golden Shovel System Panel]

Because the special ingredients for "Guo Shi Wu Shuang" and "Hong Le BBQ" were exchanged using Naruto's negative emotions, his negative value had dropped by almost half compared to the shock value.
However, Naruto didn't mind.
Thanks to his character setup, negative emotions were the easiest to gather. A couple of strolls would easily earn some.
On the other hand, shock value was trickier. Since there were always spies from the Anbu and Root watching him, even in school, Naruto preferred not to cause any major disturbances to gather shock value.
But having a peer like Sasuke, a school beauty, at his side had unexpectedly become a means to earn shock value. Previously, he was seen as a slacker with bad grades and a troublemaker. Now, having a closer relationship with Sasuke became his pathway to harvesting shock value in the ninja school.
Looking at the balance between negative emotions and shock value, Naruto nodded slightly.
Still, after frequently replicating dishes from his past life and going to the store for ingredients, his silver had dropped from over three thousand to only 1500.
Looking at the available silver, Naruto let out a sigh of relief.
He wasn't as poor as he was a week ago when he had just transmigrated.
Now, Ichiraku Ramen and Hong Le BBQ, which were both popular in Konoha, were his main businesses.
He controlled the core recipes, mastered the techniques, and spared no effort in guiding both Ichiraku and Hong Le in their cooking skills. He had even painted a big picture for the two passionate cooks ahead of time.
Naruto believed that as long as Ichiraku and Hong Le didn't have ambitions outside of cooking, he could easily become the hidden mastermind behind Konoha's most popular restaurants.
With such thriving businesses, he wouldn't have to worry about lacking silver, would he?
That's why he could afford to purchase new ingredients repeatedly and try to replicate dishes from his previous life.
Now, Sasuke and Naruto were barely eight years old. The ninja academy graduated at twelve, and by thirteen, the invasion of Konoha by Orochimaru would happen, triggering Sasuke's eventual defection as he sought more power.
At that point, Naruto could easily slip past Konoha's surveillance and control as a pursuit ninja. That would be his true moment of freedom—like a fish swimming in the deep sea or a bird flying in the sky.
"My god, I only have 1500 silver left after a week of work?" Naruto furrowed his brows, thinking to himself, "No, looks like I'll need to take some extra steps if I'm to make it through the month... Yeah, I'll do that."
As he was deep in thought, Sasuke had already taken off her apron and walked out of the kitchen. Her cherry-red, swollen lips made it look like she had just been kissed and pressed against a wall.
"Yo, all done? As expected of a genius from the Uchiha clan. With your speed at washing dishes, I, Uzumaki Naruto, hereby declare you the strongest," Naruto said, teasing her.
Sasuke finally had time to relax after working hard for a while. However, before she could catch her breath, Naruto spoke again, clearly irritating her.
"Annoying, I, the future heir of the Uchiha clan, keep being forced to wash dishes and clean for you."
Sasuke seemed to want to continue but held back. Still, she couldn't hide her frustration and irritation.
"Naruto, you... you saw that I washed the dishes and cleaned the pot, right?" Sasuke's big, watery eyes looked at Naruto as she sat cross-legged. "Could you do me a favor... help me reduce the swelling on my lips?"
Hearing this, Naruto gave a bitter smile. "Sorry, I can't help with that."
Immediately, Sasuke's eyes grew even more agitated, and she harshly responded, "This is something you can help with!"
Naruto didn't hesitate for a second. "Sis, I really can't help with that."
Before Sasuke could pout in anger, Naruto immediately added, "Do you know what spicy food really tastes like?"
"Huh?" Sasuke looked at him in confusion.
"That's right. The 'spicy' sensation we feel is actually a pain response in our mouths, not a taste. For people who've never had extremely spicy food, if they eat too much, not only will their lips swell, but their tongues will swell too."
Sasuke froze for a moment. She didn't know this, but after spending time with Naruto, she knew he didn't usually lie to her. She nodded in agreement. "So, what should I do?"
Seeing Sasuke's worried expression, which had completely lost its usual haughty demeanor, Naruto waved his hand dismissively. "You just have to get used to it. There's no quick fix."
"It's just a little swelling on your lips, not like your whole face is deformed," Naruto said, looking Sasuke up and down. "Honestly, you still look good like this."
Hearing Naruto's praise, Sasuke's cheeks flushed. What girl could resist a compliment from a friend who recognized her?
"Hmph, none of your business. I just don't like it."
Seeing that there was nothing more to be done, Sasuke didn't press the issue. She had to go to the ninja academy, didn't she?
Thinking about it, her face turned even redder. In the third class of the morning, she had slipped out with Naruto, and everyone in class knew that she was always with him. At lunch, they disappeared together, and in the afternoon, they attended class together. Naruto had a carefree look, but her lips were slightly swollen... What would the other students think?
"Ugh... this is so annoying!!"
The thought of it made Sasuke almost lose it. Without saying another word to Naruto, she pushed open the balcony door and stepped outside to get some fresh air.
This scene left Naruto staring in confusion.
He looked at Sasuke, who was clearly distressed, and thought, "What happened? Why is she so emotional? I didn't do anything this time."
About twenty minutes later, Naruto checked the time. There was less than half an hour before afternoon classes. He stood up, stretched, and called out to Sasuke, who was still standing on the balcony, "Hey, if you really like this balcony so much, I don't mind if you move in here, Sasuke."
"Hmph, don't bother me."
Naruto didn't know what Sasuke was upset about, but he didn't care. "Hurry up, there's only half an hour before class starts. We can leave soon."
"No, wait another ten minutes."
"Oh, fine," Naruto agreed without thinking. He usually rushed out of the house fifteen minutes before class, so half an hour seemed like a waste of time.
Ten minutes later, Naruto locked the door behind him. Sasuke, however, looked uncomfortable, as though she had something wrong with her.
"What's wrong? You've been acting weird since we ate," Naruto paused as if remembering something. "Did your aunt come by? But that doesn't make sense..."
Sasuke didn't know what Naruto meant by "aunt" and turned away in anger. "Hmph, it's nothing."
