Chapter 2630: Mockery



Yun Lintian stepped into the passage, followed closely by Erlang Shen. As they ventured deeper, they could hear a faint sound echoing from the depths-a rhythmic hum that seemed to vibrate through the very walls of the passage.

"What is that sound?" Qingqing asked cutely.

"It sounds like... energy," Yun Lintian said slowly, "a vast and ancient energy source."

They continued to follow the passage, the humming sound growing louder with each step. The air grew colder, and a faint mist began to form around their feet. Finally, they emerged into a vast open space, its sheer size dwarfing the secret chamber they had just left.

In the center of the chamber stood a multitude of towering pillars, each reaching towards the high ceiling, their surfaces covered in intricate carvings.

What truly captured Yun Lintian's attention was the source of the humming sound-a colossal pillar that dwarfed all the others, its peak disappearing into the shadows above. It pulsed with an eerie light, and the air around it crackled with energy.

Yun Lintian's eyes narrowed as he gazed at the colossal pillar. He could sense immense power emanating from it, a power that seemed to resonate with the very essence of the Heavenly Court.

"What is this place?" Yun Lintian asked, his voice filled with wonder.

Erlang Shen's eyes were fixed on the pillars.

"This is the Trial Ground of the Heavenly Court," he said. "During the Primordial War, in order to protect the Heavenly Court from being destroyed, the God of Heaven sealed the Heavenly Court away and created another Heavenly Court outside. This place is where the seal was activated. Ren Yuan must have gone through the trial here to unseal the Heavenly Court."

"I see," Yun Lintian nodded slowly. He walked towards the colossal pillar, his steps echoing through the vast chamber. As he drew closer, he could feel the energy intensifying, the air growing heavy with power.

As he arrived in front of the colossal pillar, cold laughter suddenly echoed through the chamber, sending chills down his spine.

"Yun Lintian," the voice called out, its tone laced with mockery and malice, "congratulations on finally breaking into the Heavenly Court. You have grown stronger, I see."

Yun Lintian's eyes widened in shock as he recognized the voice. It was the Chasm of Uncreation!

Erlang Shen was also shocked. His aura surged, ready for battle.

"Chasm of Uncreation?" Yun Lintian frowned deeply. "How did you appear here?"

The Chasm of Uncreation's laughter echoed through the chamber once more. "Surprised?" it said. "Did you really think that a mere gate could hold me forever?"

Yun Lintian's mind raced. He had faced the Chasm of Uncreation before, and he knew how cunning it was. However, from the look of it, it had no ability to break out of the seal.

"So, you have been here for a long time," Yun Lintian said calmly. "Ren Yuan must have discovered you a long time ago."

The Chasm of Uncreation was silent for a moment, its laughter fading into an eerie stillness. "You are quite quick-witted, huh?" it finally said, its voice laced with a hint of annoyance. "Naturally, especially when facing a trapped beast like you," Yun Lintian chuckled.

The Chasm of Uncreation let out a low growl, its voice reverberating through the chamber. "How dare you talk to me like this?" it hissed.

"What did I say wrong?" Yun Lintian smiled. "You are trapped within this pillar, unable to exert your power. All you can do is bark here."

"Don't let me get out. I will tear you apart, limb from limb! I will devour your soul and feast on your despair!" The Chasm of Uncreation snarled with rage.

A wave of mental pressure surged from the pillar, attempting to crush Yun Lintian's spirit, break his resolve, and fill him with fear and despair. But Yun Lintian stood firm, his mind as unyielding as a mountain. He had faced the Chasm of Uncreation's mental attacks before, and he knew how to resist them.

"Stop it. It's useless," Yun Lintian chuckled mockingly.

The mental pressure intensified, but Yun Lintian remained unmoved.

After a while, the Chasm of Uncreation's attacks subsided, its voice filled with frustration. "You are really something, huh?"

Yun Lintian smiled and said nothing. He wanted to see what kind of trick the Chasm of Uncreation would come up with next.

"Very well, Yun Lintian," the Chasm of Uncreation said, its voice regaining its composure, "you have proven to be more resilient than I anticipated. But do not think for a moment that you have won. I am still the Chasm of Uncreation, and I will not be defeated so easily."

"I have no doubt about that," Yun Lintian replied, his voice still calm. "But I am not here to fight you. I am here to find Ren Yuan."

The Chasm of Uncreation remained silent for a moment, as if considering its response.

"Let me guess," Yun Lintian continued. "You have seduced him into working for you. Right now, he should be on the way to the Abyssal Rift."

The Chasm of Uncreation remained silent upon hearing this.

"It seems I was right," Yun Lintian chuckled.

"Fine. I admit that you are quite smart... But do you really think you can defeat Fan Shen and Nian Shi on your own?" the Chasm of Uncreation asked, its voice filled with mockery. "They are far more powerful than you can imagine. They will crush you, destroy you, and consume your world."

"That's not your concern," Yun Lintian responded calmly.

The Chasm of Uncreation went silent for a moment and said, "Do you know what happened

back then?"

"What do you mean?" Yun Lintian raised his brow slightly.

"The Creator," the Chasm of Uncreation said. "Do you know why she couldn't kill me thoroughly?"

Yun Lintian frowned slightly and said nothing.

"By now, you must have understood more about the Laws of the Universe," the Chasm of Uncreation continued. "Where there is creation, there must be destruction. Yin and Yang cannot exist on their own, just like me and her. So, even if you have become the new Creator, you will never be able to kill me."

Yun Lintian stared at the pillar with a thoughtful expression. What the Chasm of Uncreation had just said was indeed the fundamental law of the universe. Could it be true?

"Heh," the Chasm of Uncreation chuckled. "How funny that all of you have been killing each other for the chance to become a new Creator just to end up living with me. Hahaha. I can't wait to see your face when the time comes."
