Mystic Eyes of Death Perception from Zero

Chapter 41: Chapter 40: That’s Exactly What I Was Going to Say!

Leaving aside the chastised Yae for now, Priscilla had been taken to the deepest part of the Rayfast mansion.

However, she had not lost her freedom of movement. Instead, she sat boldly in the main seat, looking down on Edda with disdain.

"This place is destined to become the paradise of the Creator~"

Edda's lifeless eyes stared at Priscilla, but the latter simply crossed her legs elegantly, propping her cheek with her hand, appearing utterly indifferent.

"These words don't interest me in the slightest. How do you plan to redeem yourself now?"

Despite being at the mercy of her captors, Priscilla remained true to herself, her attitude as arrogant as ever. She even demanded that Edda compensate for her boredom.

"How dull. But your unwavering self-confidence only makes me more satisfied. Arrogant toward everyone, with absolute authority and power... You're truly the ideal manager for our paradise!"

Edda licked her blood-red, thick lips and continued, "What, are you still expecting that knight to come to your rescue? Or perhaps that maid of yours?"

She continued, "Don't be foolish. Falling from such a height, even if he did not die, he'd be killed by others. As for that maid, she'll be caught sooner or later. Don't worry, I'll spare her life and bring her to you, but..."

"But she'll become an ugly creature like you," Priscilla sneered, glancing at her with disdain, "I've decided. I will walk out of this mansion openly and with dignity!"

"Such confidence is admirable. Of course, you can walk out openly. But before that, you should know what this is."

As she spoke, Edda took out a transparent wine glass filled with a rich, fragrant wine. Priscilla could tell at a glance that it was a high-quality vintage, but it did not spark the slightest desire in her to drink it.

"Is this what you plan on using to invade my mind and take over my body? How boring. Is this all you've got?"

Priscilla picked up the glass, swirled it, and looked at Edda with even greater disdain.

Did she really think her radiant sword was just for show?

"Whether it's boring or not, you'll find out soon. Drink it! This was specially prepared for you~ I can't wait to see your proud figure fully devoted to the Creator~! It'll be such a delightful sight~!"

Edda covered her mouth with a laugh, her appearance utterly repulsive...

"Now, please, Lady Priscilla Barielle."

Priscilla smiled gracefully, elegantly raised the glass, and drank it all in one go, not leaving a single drop.

"And now? You filthy, ugly hag, what other tricks do you have? Show me. Otherwise, you won't get another chance! Because soon, I'll personally execute you!" Priscilla mocked.

"How bold. Since you've drunk it, just sit here quietly and wait. Don't worry, the change will come soon. I'll bring that maid and knight here. If they're still alive, I don't mind letting them continue to serve you."

With that, Edda turned and left, leaving Priscilla lounging leisurely on the sofa, her legs crossed, as if she weren't the least bit worried about turning into something like Edda after drinking the poisoned wine.

...

With a single slash, Graham cut down a corpse lunging at him, then suddenly stopped and turned to look at the shadows behind him.

"Come out. I've smelled your heavy perfume for a while now, you fat hag!" He called out.

"My, my~ Calling me a fat hag is so rude. And here I thought I'd gone through so much trouble to recruit all these laborers for our paradise. Yet you've destroyed them all..."

Emerging from the shadows was none other than Edda Rayfast, the heavily made-up, corpulent woman.

"Trouble? Don't make me laugh. All you did was stand by the waterwheel and 'poisoned' the villagers. Honestly, you're revolting."

"My apologies. But don't you want to know what's happened to your precious princess since I'm here?" Edda offered.

"I'll find out after I deal with you."

Graham swung his sword and pointed at her, his eyes glowing with a dangerous deep-blue light.

"Perfect. I've been wanting to teach you a lesson. After I beat you half to death, I'll turn you into a laborer for our paradise and bring you before that woman. It'll be a good way to humble her!"

With that, Edda suddenly roared, tearing off her fur coat to reveal a horrifying sight!

Having absorbed the flesh of countless corpses, countless arms and grotesque heads twisted together like a macabre sculpture, forming the body of Edda Rayfast, the so-called 'heroine'.

"Do you really think you can defeat me, knight? Stop resisting, and I'll make your death quick!"

Like a chariot made of rotting flesh, she lunged at Graham, her countless arms flailing, bringing with them an overwhelming sense of dread.

"That's exactly what I was going to say."

Graham's expression remained unchanged as he raised his sword and slashed forward...
