Chapter 54: My Wives Of Simulation [54]
Chapter 54: How About You Two Change Your Hairstyle?
____
Two years ago, Elric was still in his second year of high school. One Sunday, because Sora's health had improved, he decided to take his dear sister to the amusement park.
They enjoyed some of the simpler attractions, as Elric was careful not to let Sora engage in activities that might strain her, such as bumper cars or haunted houses. However, he couldn't resist his sister's persistent pleading and finally agreed to take her on the roller coaster.
"Ah, Elric-kun!"
"It's really Elric-kun! What are you doing here?"
To Elric's surprise, he encountered his classmates Sonoko and Mouri at the roller coaster.
By this time, Elric was already aware that the world he inhabited had supernatural elements. Given his ordinary identity, he had no intention of pretending to be someone extraordinary in front of the heroines. Fully aware of his position, he knew he and Mouri or Sonoko were just regular classmates with no deeper connection.
"Mouri-san, Sonoko-san, hello."
Turning to Sora, he added, "Sora, say hello to the two sisters."
Elric briefly introduced Sora as his sister. At the time, he didn't feel the need to converse much with Sonoko and Mouri. While they were classmates, they moved in different circles, and he saw no reason to force any integration.
As the roller coaster began to move, Elric suddenly felt a creeping sense of unease—an ominous feeling that something unexpected was about to disrupt his peaceful life.
Looking around, his eyes landed on two men in black coats sitting at the very end of the roller coaster.
'Oh no... Don't tell me this is a roller coaster murder case...'
Elric struggled to recall the details of Detective Conan, but he could remember a few of the iconic cases. For instance, the skyscraper explosion, the ghost of Baker Street, the library director, the bandage monster, and, of course, the infamous roller coaster incident where Kudo Shinichi was poisoned and shrank.
His panic grew as he thought about the possibility of encountering Gin and Vodka, two notorious members of the Black Organization.
As if confirming his fears, a murder did occur on the roller coaster, leaving Sora terrified.
With the arrival of Inspector Megure and his team, Elric quickly resolved to take action. To get his sister home early and avoid any unnecessary confrontation with Gin and Vodka, he relied on his memory to deduce the murderer's methods and solve the case before things escalated.
"Mouri-san, Suzuki-san, my sister was scared today, so I'm taking her home early," he explained after the case was resolved.
He said his goodbyes to Mouri and Sonoko, politely declined interviews with Inspector Megure and the reporters, and left with Sora.
For the next few days, Elric stayed by his sister's side, helping her recover from the traumatic roller coaster experience.
But after that day, Sonoko and Mouri seemed to see Elric in a different light. They began to notice him more, and over time, their relationship grew closer.
"Ran, Sonoko, your hairstyles... have you ever thought about changing them?"
Initially, Elric had no reason to care about their appearances. However, as they grew more familiar, he couldn't help but notice some details that stood out. Sonoko's habit of using a large headband seemed to undermine her natural beauty, and Mouri's signature hair spikes had an almost comical sharpness to them.
He couldn't help it, so he made a suggestion to Sonoko and Mouri that they found acceptable.
After that...
"Damn, Elric, your sense of style is amazing!"
Under the expert care of professional stylists from the Suzuki family, Sonoko and Mouri emerged with new hairstyles that elevated their beauty to a whole new level. Their charm broke through previous limitations, and their bond with Elric grew even stronger.
Strangely, whether it was due to her family's wealth or the frequency of her encounters with Elric, the Sonoko in this world no longer acted like a fangirl who couldn't resist swooning over every handsome guy.
In her words: "I see Elric's face every day. After getting used to that level of beauty, why would I care about anyone less good-looking?"
Both she and Elric were admitted to the third class of the first year at Kunugigaoka High school. Mouri had gained entry with her championship-level karate bonus, while Sonoko relied on her financial resources—her family even had a school director on the Kunugigaoka Academy board.
Sonoko had her usual habit of patting Elric on the shoulder to greet him in the morning, but to her surprise, Elric dodged.
"Look, Mouri! Elric has forgotten about us and even dares to disregard our brotherhood!"
Pretending to cry, she clung to Mouri's hand, secretly watching Elric from the corner of her eye, hoping to make him feel guilty.
"Sonoko…" Mouri sighed helplessly at her friend's antics. Normally, Mouri had the gentle demeanor of a traditional Yamato Nadeshiko. Unless something critical happened, she rarely let her karate skills show.
"Alright, Sonoko, stop pretending to cry, or you'll make me want to beat you up."
"You think it's fun to watch such a beautiful girl cry?" Elric teased, showing no intention of pampering her.
Sonoko's expression instantly turned fierce as she glared at him in mock outrage. "Elric, you dare to bully me?"
"Sonoko, stop it." Mouri grabbed her best friend's hand. At times like this, Mouri often played the role of a mother figure.
"Hmph, Mouri, you're just too soft on him," Sonoko said, raising an eyebrow as she looked at Mouri with a mischievous grin.
Her words carried an ambiguous undertone, making Mouri blush and look away in embarrassment.
Ding-ling-ling...
The sudden ringing of the school bell interrupted their conversation, signaling the start of class. Everyone returned to their seats, though Sonoko shot Elric a challenging look, silently promising, We'll settle this after class!
"Hello, everyone."
A gentle female voice resonated through the room as a tall woman entered the classroom.
She had an exquisite face that exuded a sense of sophistication. Even in her modest teacher's attire, her perfect figure was hard to overlook. Her dark red hair framed her face beautifully, and her rose-red eyes sparkled with an almost mesmerizing allure.
The teacher, who didn't seem much older than the students, smiled warmly as she scanned the room.
"Hello, everyone. Your previous teacher, Mr. Murata, is on sick leave for the time being. I'll be taking over the math class for now."
With a refined grace, she introduced herself: "My name is Kaho Mizuki. I hope we can all get along well. Please take care of me."
