My Wives Of Simulation

Chapter 52: My Wives Of Simulation [52]

Chapter 52: Let'S Go To The Hotel Now

_____

Guinevere: "Nero, I want to ask you another question. Is the Emperor of Eternal Night… a god?"

Since the King of Glory, named Reinhard, is a god, he naturally cannot succumb to illness or aging.

She clearly remember Elric's figure during the Battle of Camlann, where he single-handedly defeated Beryl, Oberon, and Vortigern. That overwhelming strength fascinated everyone who witnessed it.

Guinevere thought that if the Emperor of Eternal Night was also Elric, then this emperor, who had created a new era, could not have simply died. Perhaps, like Elric, he had spent a long and happy time with Nero before leaving.

Tyrant Nero: "A god? The Romans regarded the Emperor of Eternal Night as a god."

Guinevere: "I'm not referring to the traditional symbolic gods but the essence of life itself. In other words, is the Emperor of Eternal Night still alive?"

Tyrant Nero: "Are you insulting the name of Eternal Night? The player… he is no longer here."

[Walking through the memories of you and me, everything will be fine. Let's face wind and rain together, through sadness and joy.]

Recalling the words Elric had spoken to her when he left, Nero had been waiting all this time, waiting for the moment he would return for her.

In her heart, the existence of Reinhard Claudius was irreplaceable. He was her one and only love in this life… no, he was her one and only love for all eternity.

Tyrant Nero: "Princess from Britain, I understand what you mean. You're suggesting that your King of Glory is a god, and if he and the Emperor of Eternal Night are the same person, then the Emperor of Eternal Night should also be a god, correct?"

Tyrant Nero: "I'm sorry, but I can tell you that you're overthinking it. The Emperor of Eternal Night was just a mortal."

Tyrant Nero: "But even as a mortal, he changed the entire Roman Empire with his human strength alone. To the people of Rome, the Emperor of Eternal Night was no different from a god."

Tyrant Nero: "No, in my eyes, even the gods are not as great as the player. He was, and always will be, the greatest emperor in my heart!"

Nero's words conveyed her unwavering determination and deep respect for Elric. Her heartfelt confession could be felt even through the screen.

Guinevere, moved by Nero's sincerity, finally accepted that the Emperor of Eternal Night was just a mortal.

With this realization, she concluded that the similarities between the Emperor of Eternal Night and the King of Glory likely stemmed from coincidence, nothing more.

Guinevere: "I understand. Based on what you've said, the Emperor of Eternal Night was indeed a very remarkable king."

Guinevere: "But for us, for all of Britain, the existence of the King of Glory is the pinnacle of greatness, and we are willing to give everything for him."

Guinevere: "Of course, this doesn't mean to diminish the greatness of the Emperor of Eternal Night. But since we exist in two different worlds, comparisons that transcend eras are meaningless."

Having calmed down and expressed her thoughts, Guinevere's words now came across as much more measured and respectful.

Tyrant Nero: "You're right. For you, the King of Glory may be your greatest king, but for Rome, Eternal Night is everything."

Letting out a sigh of relief, Nero reflected on everything Elric had taught her.

To respect and understand others, she realized, was also a form of strength.

Tyrant Nero: "Okay, I was wrong before. Both Eternal Night and Glory are outstanding monarchs."

Tyrant Nero: "Compared to that, I'm curious—what is going on in Britain where you are? Is the King of Glory truly a god? I'd love to know more."

Having calmed down, Nero began asking about everything related to the King of Glory in Britain. As Guinevere and the others in the group shared the history of their revered king, the rest of the group members found themselves immersed in the eternal tale.

"Utaha, what's wrong?"

In the real world, Elric had a daily routine of waiting for Utaha before heading to school. It was a habit he had developed over the years. However, when he arrived at her house today, he noticed the girl seemed a little distracted.

"Ah, it's nothing. I was just thinking about how to please our god."

In truth, Utaha had been following the conversation in the group but chose not to participate. After a brief moment of distraction, she stepped closer to Elric.

Leaning slightly, she inhaled his scent, a satisfied expression spreading across her face.

"Please me? Let me think about that..."

Looking at the thoughtful Utaha by his side, Elric couldn't help but recall the conditions for becoming one of his Followers. To reach that status required the highest level of favorability.

During the final stages of the last simulation, his divine power—the Way of Heaven—had not yet fully materialized. As a result, the ability to grant dependent status was still in its early stages and could only be bestowed upon those with unshakable trust in him.

Although the abilities of his British dependents had evolved later, freeing them from such restrictions, those advancements hadn't existed initially.

Because of this, people like Sora or Utaha were among those who had reached a 100% favorability rating toward him.

As he gazed at Utaha, his long-time friend, he noticed a rare moment of shyness in her crimson eyes. Was she actually embarrassed?

"Thinking about it, since the gods have already claimed me, isn't it natural for me to act like a weak, helpless, and pitiful little retainer when no one else is around?"

Having officially become one of Elric's Follower, Utaha had finally broken through the boundaries of friendship they once shared. Her playful and carefree personality began to shine once more, her confident demeanor mixed with her usual tendency to say unexpectedly bold things.

She casually added a few cheeky remarks, her outspoken personality remaining as unfiltered as ever, occasionally shocking him with her bluntness.

"Well, since you put it that way, let's decide right now—how about we head to a hotel?"

Smiling mischievously, Elric responded with the air of a king, entirely unfazed. Showing hesitation or nervousness now would have been laughable, given his position as the Emperor of Eternal Night and the King of Glory.

Had this conversation occurred before he gained the simulator, he might have been flustered by her words. But now? Not in the slightest.

Reaching out, he lightly flicked Utaha's forehead, earning an annoyed yet embarrassed glare from her. Without missing a beat, he jokingly suggested they go immediately, his tone playful but confident.

"Hmm…"

To his surprise, Utaha didn't outright refuse. Instead, she looked at him with flushed cheeks, as though she were genuinely considering his proposition.

The most unexpected thing, however, was that his God of Fraud ability told him the truth—Utaha wasn't teasing him. Her thoughts were genuinely wandering into some very inappropriate territory.
