Ye Xiong stared intently at his hand on the trigger, ready to take him down in case there was even a hint of him firing the gun before the sound could be heard.

Intimidated by Ye Xiong’s gaze, the dark-faced guard clearly faltered, losing his earlier arrogance but still stubbornly said, “It’s the authority figure’s command, he won’t see anyone today.”

“Aside from me, has the authority figure seen anyone else today?” Ye Xiong asked.

“No.”

“What about yesterday?”

“Someone came to see him once yesterday.”

The two guards hadn’t expected Ye Xiong to move so quickly; by the time they reacted, Ye Xiong had already entered.

Inside the sickroom, Long Tianya was lying in bed reading a book. Seeing him enter, he said coldly, “Haven’t I said that no one is allowed in? Is my word wind in your ears?”

Long Tianya glared at the two guards and shouted, “Throw him out for me, he is not welcome here.”

On hearing this, the guards, one on each side, took hold of Ye Xiong, ready to make their move.

“Wait!”

Ye Xiong roared in anger, staring at Long Tianya and said, “Authority figure, I’ve come a long way to see you, and I mean you no harm. What are you afraid of?”

“I don’t need you to come see me, guards, please show him out.”

The guards didn’t dare to disobey the order and quickly moved to grab Ye Xiong.

Suddenly, Ye Xiong moved, swift as a fleeing rabbit.

Before the guards could react, Ye Xiong was already at Long Tianya’s side, his right hand reaching for his face.

The guards, taken aback and thinking Ye Xiong meant to harm Long Tianya, both drew their guns, pointing them at Ye Xiong, ready to shoot.

Suddenly, there was a ripping sound, and Long Tianya’s facial skin was torn off.

Strangely, after his facial skin was ripped off, there was no blood, but instead, another layer of skin was revealed.

Ye Xiong pulled hard, tearing off half of Long Tianya’s face along with a bunch of hair, revealing half of a stranger’s face, the sight was shocking, like a two-faced person.

If at this moment the two guards had not yet reacted, they would be utterly unfit for their duty.

“Who are you, really, and where is the officer?”

The two guards shifted their guns from Ye Xiong to the elder disguised as Long Tianya and barked sternly.

The two guards, scared pale, had lost all their earlier arrogance.

First, he knows we’re placing him in soft detention and won’t let him off easily, so he decides to leave and seek treatment elsewhere; second, there are issues within the Beast Organization that require his personal attention, so he must leave; third, he is preparing to officially go to battle with us.”

After Long Zaitian finished speaking, a worried expression crossed his face, “Ye Xiong, be careful. After Long Tianya dispatched many top Dragon Group warriors to covertly protect Ye’s father and Yangyang, Ye Xiong and Phoenix headed to the airport to take a plane back to Jiangnan City.

After the plane landed in the provincial capital, on the car ride back to Jiangnan City, Ye Xiong called He Mengji and asked her to immediately gather the core members of the Hunter Bodyguard Company for a meeting.

Ye Xiong was so urgent because he wanted to see who among these core members was the mole who had betrayed him.

Ten minutes later, He Mengji called back with news: Lu Long was missing.

Could it be that Lu Long was the mole?

Lu Long was a physical education teacher at Jiangnan University.

If Lu Long truly is the mole, then holding a meeting would be pointless; if he is not, it’s very possible that he’s been captured or harmed. The perpetrator might be attempting to use the ‘death substitution’ tactic to continue hiding. So, let’s pretend we are unaware.”

“And catch the culprit when they get careless?” Phoenix inquired.

Ye Xiong nodded.
