"Failed, huh?" Zeng Shen muttered, a bit surprised by the notification. He quickly recalled that animals destined to be tamed by others require multiple taming attempts to reduce them to general believers, especially when their mood shows signs of 'unease.'

With this in mind, Zeng Shen cast another taming spell at the shepherd dog.

Ignoring the failure, Zeng Shen cast a Peering Eye on the dog, checking the last two black boxes on its panel.

As the second spell landed, a success notification sounded in his ears.

Instantly, the shepherd dog that had been barking at Zeng Shen ceased its barking.

It turned to the other barking shepherd dog and let out a loud growl.

The second dog, named Nixue, turned to Nima, confused, and barked questioningly.

Nima opened its mouth wide, threatening to attack.

Frightened, Nixue whimpered and ran to the young girl, Lar Di, as if complaining.

Lar Di, puzzled, dismounted, hugged Nixue, and looked at Nima. "Nima, how can you yell at your sister like that? Apologize to her."

Now a tamed beast of Zeng Shen, Nima no longer saw Lar Di as its master.

Hearing her command, it prepared to attack.

Zeng Shen swiftly appeared invisibly beside it, whispering, "Nima, don't be rash. Pretend to obey her for now. Then find a chance to tell all the shepherd dogs here that they'll have a new master tonight. Get them ready to welcome him."

"Whine," Nima responded, shifting to a docile demeanor and barking apologetically at Nixue and Lar Di.

Shaken by Nima's earlier aggression, Lar Di was relieved to see it revert to its harmless self, seemingly apologizing.

Though puzzled, she didn't dwell on it and turned to Nixue, saying, "Okay, your sister knows she was wrong. Go help the others drive the sheep to graze over there."

"Bark," Nixue responded, returning to her post to assist Lar Di in herding the sheep to a denser area.

Zeng Shen then cast Peering Eyes on the remaining six shepherd dogs.

He was delighted to find they all had elite potential as future intelligent beings.

"These six can't be tamed now. Let's check the sheep," Zeng Shen muttered, casting a Peering Eye on a prominent-looking sheep.

Hearing the notification, Zeng Shen cast more Peering Eyes on other sheep, only to receive the same feedback.

He realized these sheep might not survive until the divine energy surge next April. Each sheep bore a small red tag around its neck with a date.

"It's late May now, so in half a month, these thousand sheep will be sent to the slaughterhouse?" Zeng Shen calculated, resignedly shaking his head before flying to the next flock.

This flock also had two shepherds and eight dogs.

Upon reaching five meters above the flock, another danger alert sounded.

Zeng Shen ignored it, casting Peering Eyes on the eight dogs.

The feedback revealed they would all survive three years into the future, with two as elite dark hellhounds and six as ordinary intelligent shepherd dogs, all future followers and mounts of Lar Di.

However, the two elite dogs succumbed to Zeng Shen's taming spells, becoming his tamed beasts.

Landing among the flock, Zeng Shen checked a prominent sheep's tag.

"These sheep won't last a year either," Zeng Shen grumbled, flying to the next flock.

In this flock, aside from eight dogs destined to become beasts and intelligent races, the sheep would be marketed by October 15, 2119.

Zeng Shen tamed three dogs from this flock, then moved to the next.

The fourth flock had a market date of December 15, 2119.

Zeng Shen tamed the dogs there and proceeded to the fifth flock.

The fifth flock's dogs were all future intelligent races, and their sheep had a market date of February 15, 2120, missing the divine energy surge.

Resigned, Zeng Shen flew to the sixth flock.

This time, he felt confident.

The sixth flock must hold another intelligent race or new exotic beast.

With each flock's market date spaced two months apart, the sixth flock's date should be April 15, 2120, coinciding with the divine energy surge.

Reaching the sixth flock, Zeng Shen cast a Peering Eye on a prominent sheep.

His eyes lit up as a panel appeared.
