My NTR Harem

Chapter 269: Joseph

Lucian and Melina drove away from school after accidentally hitting Mason and his group. He didn't want to scare Melina too much just yet, so he didn't reveal much and let her ponder her own thoughts about the recent event; she already seemed a little frightened.

"W- Where are we going now?" Melina spoke. She looked at him and suddenly felt that she didn't really know much about him, and for some reason she had the urge to know more about him.

"To meet my first uncle, I thought I should share my wealth with him too, just like I am going to do with Robert." Lucian said, his lips curling up as he sped up. He could see some blood had spilled onto the car from the accident earlier.

'Maybe I should give this car back to him now, that Karen's husband— it had already been through quite a lot and even killed a few people.' Lucian thought and decided to get a new car. He had already gathered quite a wealth with his gaming company, and with the approaching chaos none of it might matter.

"…" Melina thought about his comment and felt that Robert had made a big mistake in thinking of Lucian as a fool; instead of falling into a trap, he had weaved a trap for their family. She worried that her husband is already too big of a trouble.

'I— I too had a hand in taking away his money at that time, and I didn't really care for him, so what is he going to do to me? Is he going to make me disappear too? I heard a couple of his classmates disappeared and were later found dead, while a few others suffered just as badly; that all might be his doing?

He might hate me much more than them, but with how close we have gotten I really thought he liked me. Was it all just acting? Is he just going to get rid of me like the others?' Melina thought all this as her expressions kept changing. She was afraid but also wanted to stay with him; her emotions were in turmoil.

Lucian had already gotten enough information about his first uncle. Previously, his uncle named Joseph worked as a professor— just like his wife, named Mary— but after acquiring such a large fortune they quit their jobs and started a business.

And unlike Robert, they didn't waste the money; instead, they used all that money to build a small empire of their own, getting even richer and living a life full of luxury without a care.

But the higher one climbs, the more it hurts to fall; losing it all would be very painful for Joseph's family now— falling from being royalties to beggars would be just perfect for them.

After traveling for almost two hours, Lucian arrived at his uncle's house; it was a large and luxurious mansion where he lived along with his wife, his son, and a lot of servants.

"What are you planning to do here?" Melina asked as she looked at the lavish house.

"Nothing much, just going to greet my dear uncle." Lucian said as he got out of the car and asked, "Are you going to come with me or wait in the car?"

"I— I will wait here; you can take your time." Melina replied hastily. She was a little afraid to follow and decided to use this time to understand her thoughts and feelings.

"As you wish." Lucian turned and walked towards the door where two security guards were stationed. As he approached, they asked about his identity and relation with Joseph.

"Tell Uncle that Lucian is here." Lucian said to the guards with a smile.

The guards moved towards the gate and talked through the phone, passing the information.

Inside the house, a man who appeared to be in his fifties with short black hair and smooth white skin sat on the sofa as a couple of servants massaged his feet and shoulders while he was looking at the screen of his mobile and reading something.

Beside him sat his wife, who had a face mask over her face. Despite all the treatments and makeovers, she couldn't hide the wrinkles that had started to appear on her face; the whole family spent quite a lot just on their bodies and looks.

As the bell rang, Joseph lazily picked up his mobile and heard the message from the guard.

"Sir, there is a boy here saying he is your nephew and his name is Lucian." As Joseph and Mary heard these words, they were quite surprised and sat up straight.

Both of them glanced at one another and fell silent for a moment. They looked at their son peacefully sleeping on the sofa— a few years ago he had an accident and barely survived, but his mental health was greatly affected and now his intelligence was quite low.

"Sigh, should I let him in?" Joseph mumbled, rubbing his forehead; he felt a headache coming.

"Hmmm, maybe he is in some trouble. Ask his reason for coming here first." Mary responded. She didn't want to let him enter her extravagant house and let her neighbours or others know that someone like that is related to them in any way.

The guard heard the message and turned to Lucian, who responded before the guard could question him: "I have something important to tell them."

"Let him in." Mary said, her expression turning sour. She looked at her husband and spoke in a harsh tone:

"How did that brat even know our address? Tch, he is your relative. Take care of him yourself, and if he asks for money, just give him a few bucks— no need to give out too much. Our son needs a lot of money for his treatment after all. Sigh, I hope no one sees him enter the house."

"…" Joseph nodded, agreeing with his wife. He felt no guilt or remorse about stealing all of Lucian's money; instead, he believed that the money he took should belong to him.

Within seconds, the guards led Lucian inside. After he entered the house, the guards left, and Lucian was brought into the guest room where the family of three was present by the maids.

Joseph and Mary both looked up at him with haughty expressions; for a moment, they seemed surprised to see his appearance. He looked very handsome, but then their expressions returned to scorn as they wondered his reason for coming.

Lucian too gazed at the three and saw that there was neither a place to sit nor did they seem to be hospitable to him; even the servants just went about their work, no longer paying him any mind because of Mary's orders.

"Well, I have to say, you have got quite a nice house." Lucian said as he walked towards his sleeping cousin, who alone was taking up a large part of the sofa.

Under Joseph and Mary's stunned gazes, Lucian brought a slap down onto the sleeping boy's face, hard enough to make his teeth chatter, as he almost fell from the sofa— waking up with a start and a scream.
