Chapter 174: Chapter 174: Crashing into the act
"Clang..." With a sound, Jiang Hai collapsed onto the sofa, unconscious. The person who had pushed him down was none other than Feng Yunchen, who had returned with him. At that moment, her face was slightly flushed, making her already pretty features appear unusually captivating.
Earlier at the restaurant, Feng Yunchen had expressed a desire to have dinner at Jiang Hai's house. Since he didn't refuse, it was clear he wouldn't be going home to eat instant noodles as she had suggested. When Jiang Hai's taxi arrived downstairs, he noticed that the small restaurant near his home was still open, so he decided to grab some takeout. Meanwhile, Feng Yunchen had gone for a walk. When she returned, she was holding a can of beer and two bottles of red wine.
Although it wasn't ideal, since she had bought the drinks, Jiang Hai felt obliged to partake.
However, halfway through their drinks, Feng Yunchen made her move. She deliberately sat next to Jiang Hai, sipping her drink while tugging at his coat. Stunned, Jiang Hai attempted to stand up, but Feng Yunchen was quicker; she pushed him back down onto the sofa and began to slowly pull up his shirt.
"Hey, you've finished eating too. Shouldn't I take you home first?" Jiang Hai stammered, unsure where to direct his gaze as he coughed awkwardly.
"Hee, what do you think, Jiang Hai? Are you excited?" Feng Yunchen teased, her clothes nearly coming off. She had an impressive figure for a girl from the Northeast, standing at 1.72 meters tall, and her job kept her in great shape, which was hidden beneath her thick winter attire. Now, as she removed her sweater and the trousers beneath, her fair, delicate skin and alluring curves were on full display. Ignoring Jiang Hai's words, she leaned in closer, her eyes—definitely a strong asset for any Asian woman—intensely captivating him.
"Ahem, ahem, ahem, this... isn't this inappropriate? Don't you have a boyfriend?" Jiang Hai's eyes darted away, his face flushed as he whispered.
"Hey, my boyfriend? Let's not even go there. He was wild in his youth, but now he can't satisfy me. He just wants me to be his mistress. Aside from money, he offers nothing. I know he only wants me to help him maintain appearances when he goes out. But I'm destined to be the lonely one, right? Like now, during the New Year and other holidays, he still chooses to go home, leaving me alone." As she spoke, Feng Yunchen bit her lip lightly, and Jiang Hai sensed the sincerity in her words. She then sat on his lap, her enticing figure almost overwhelming him, the pink lace of her dress accentuating her curves. The combined effects of sight, touch, and scent made Jiang Hai swallow hard.
"Why are you saying this now? Aren't you even a little moved by me?" Feng Yunchen tilted her head, whispering in his ear.
"This... this is almost too much. After all, I can't even give you money," Jiang Hai replied, swallowing again, his voice low.
"I don't need your money... Let's not dwell on that. What do you think of my body? A little impulsive, right?" As she spoke, Feng Yunchen leaned in closer, her eyes sparkling like autumn waves as they roamed over Jiang Hai.
"Such words..." Jiang Hai was at a loss for words, overwhelmed by temptation.
"Hey, you don't need to say anything; you've already told me everything..." When she saw Jiang Hai hesitating, Feng Yunchen slid down his body, stopping just where she needed to. She sensed his intentions and offered no chance for him to resist, completely removing his pants.
Seeing Jiang Hai's reaction, Feng Yunchen's face turned crimson, unsure if it was from the alcohol or her own shyness.
"I turned off the lights." Looking at Jiang Hai's completely stiff body, Feng Yunchen whispered as she blew softly into his ear. Then, before he could react, she stood up, quickly turned off the lights in the living room, and returned to his side.
As her body fell against his, thoughts that could not be described in mere words flooded Jiang Hai's mind...
An hour later, when the sounds of the bed hitting the wall finally subsided, Jiang Hai held Feng Yunchen in his arms, staring at the ceiling with a hint of hesitation in his eyes.
Some say that men are the most hesitant, conflicted, and contradictory creatures in the world. They can be like dogs seeking affection, only to find others unattractive afterward.
Men often struggle to think rationally in critical moments. As the saying goes, before the act, they may be seen as rapists, and afterward, they become saints. Jiang Hai felt this way too. Initially, when things happened between him, Maggie, and an unknown girl, he felt no guilt, perhaps because they were strangers. But Feng Yunchen was different; she was his classmate. Moreover, regardless of whether it was his original girlfriend or Xiaojian, she was a woman with a name. Wasn't it a bit wrong to act this way? Unauthentic?
It was one thing to engage with unfamiliar women, but this was his classmate, and it felt inhumane.
"What's wrong? You look so conflicted," Feng Yunchen, glistening with tiny beads of sweat, nestled in Jiang Hai's arms under the moonlight. After finding a comfortable position, she half-closed her eyes and whispered in his ear.
Jiang Hai was momentarily stunned before responding. Although he couldn't bring himself to be harsh, he hesitated and decided to speak the truth: "Oh, I was just thinking... isn't it wrong for us to do this, after all..."
"Don't overthink it, and don't feel burdened." As she spoke, Jiang Hai turned to look at the woman beside him in the moonlight.
"Just think of it as a moment of impulse, something you need to deal with. If there were no woman by your side, you'd handle it yourself, but now I'm here to help you with that," Feng Yunchen said, taking Jiang Hai's hand and gently pressing her left hand against his right.
"Is... is that so?" Jiang Hai gazed at Feng Yunchen's pretty face, unsure of what to say.
"Don't worry too much about it. If you stay this nervous, it might get exposed one day," Feng Yunchen chuckled, planting a light kiss on his cheek. Jiang Hai, feeling the weight of her words, found himself at a loss for expression. He turned to the side, wrapping his arms around her like a pillow, resting his head against hers as he slowly drifted off to sleep. Feng Yunchen, glancing at Jiang Hai's not-so-handsome face, realized that while she may have initially been drawn to him for his financial resources, at that moment, she simply felt like a woman. After all, she hadn't slept well in years, but in Jiang Hai's arms, she felt safe...
As their breathing gradually calmed, they both fell asleep. That night, Jiang Hai slept soundly...
However, early the next morning, he was awakened by the sound of tossing and turning. He opened his eyes groggily to find Feng Yunchen kneeling on the bed, busying herself. Noticing Jiang Hai move, she looked up at him.
"What are you doing so early in the morning?" Jiang Hai asked, glancing at his phone. It was just nine o'clock. They had finished their meal around ten the previous night, and it was nearly one o'clock when they fell asleep. Even with his good physical fitness, six hours of sleep was hardly enough, especially on New Year's Eve.
"This is called morning chewing. I learned it from a sister. You're the first one I'm trying it on," Feng Yunchen replied, smiling sweetly.
"So I'm honored?" Jiang Hai chuckled, patting his forehead.
"Of course! Don't move, just enjoy it!" Feng Yunchen playfully patted his thigh before bending down again.
"Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong..." Just as Jiang Hai was experiencing a morning service like never before, the doorbell rang insistently. Startled by the harsh sound, both Jiang Hai and Feng Yunchen froze.
"Who is it?" Jiang Hai scratched his head, unsure who would ring the doorbell on New Year's Day, especially since he hadn't been home for months. Indicating for Feng Yunchen to stay calm, he stood up, threw on a sweater and trousers, and opened the door.
As he swung the door open, a pretty face greeted him. The two locked eyes, and time seemed to stand still at that moment. (To be continued.)
