My Hero Academia: Nightmare Mode

Chapter 15: A Villains Kiss

The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a pale glow over the quiet streets of Musutafu. Kikidori walked alone, his hands shoved deep into his pockets as he made his way back to the dorms after a late errand. The streets were empty, the only sound being the soft crunch of his footsteps against the pavement.

He didn't mind the solitude; in fact, he preferred it. But tonight, something felt… off. He paused at the corner of a dimly lit alleyway, his mismatched eyes scanning his surroundings.

"That's not just the wind," he muttered under his breath.

Before he could react, a familiar voice echoed from the shadows.

"Well, well, well… fancy meeting you here, Kikidori."

His head snapped toward the source of the voice, and sure enough, stepping out of the darkness was Toga. She was wearing her usual schoolgirl-esque outfit, her knife dangling lazily from her fingers. Her golden eyes sparkled with excitement, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.

"Toga," Kikidori said flatly. He wasn't surprised, but her sudden appearance still set him on edge.

"You know," she began, twirling the knife in her hand, "it's kind of rude to walk around alone without telling me. What if something bad happened to you?"

Kikidori narrowed his eyes. "What do you want, Toga?"

Toga tilted her head, her smile never wavering. "What I *always* want—to see you. Is that so bad?" She took a step closer, her movements light and almost playful.

Kikidori stayed rooted in place, his expression unreadable. "You shouldn't be here. If anyone else sees you—"

"Oh, relax," Toga interrupted, waving her knife dismissively. "It's just us. No heroes, no teachers, no classmates. Just you and me."

Her tone softened as she took another step forward, closing the distance between them. "You know, Kikidori… I've been thinking a lot about you lately. You're different from everyone else. You don't look at me like I'm crazy."

"Maybe because I'm used to crazy," Kikidori replied dryly.

Toga laughed, the sound light and genuine. "See? That's what I mean. You get me."

She stopped in front of him, looking up into his mismatched eyes. For a moment, there was silence, the air between them thick with tension. Then, to Kikidori's surprise, Toga leaned in closer.

"Kikidori," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "I know you don't want to admit it, but you don't hate me. In fact… I think you might even like me."

Kikidori opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say a word, Toga leaned in and pressed her lips against his.

It was brief—just a fleeting kiss—but it left Kikidori frozen in place, his mind racing.

When Toga pulled back, her cheeks were flushed, and her grin was wider than ever. "There," she said, her tone triumphant. "Now you can't say your first kiss didn't mean anything."

Kikidori's face was blank, his mismatched eyes blinking in confusion. "What… was that?" he finally managed to say.

Toga giggled, twirling away from him. "Just a little something to remember me by," she said, winking.

"You're insane," Kikidori muttered, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Maybe," Toga replied, skipping backward toward the alleyway. "But you didn't push me away, did you?"

Kikidori didn't respond. He just stood there, watching as she disappeared into the shadows, her laughter echoing in the night.

When she was gone, Kikidori let out a long sigh, running a hand through his hair. "That… definitely doesn't count," he muttered to himself, though he wasn't sure who he was trying to convince.

As he made his way back to the dorms, he couldn't shake the feeling of her lips against his, no matter how much he tried to push the thought away.
