Chapter 54: Abyss Dungeon VIII

"Faster than I thought," Leon muttered, steadying himself.

The demon didn't relent. It spun with its massive tail, aiming to sweep both Leon and Roselia off their feet. Leon ducked, narrowly avoiding the strike, while Roselia vaulted over it with agile precision, throwing a dagger mid-air. The weapon struck the demon's shoulder but merely glanced off its hardened skin.

"You think those toothpicks will harm me?" the demon mocked, swiping at Roselia mid-air.

She twisted her body, barely avoiding the claw, and landed gracefully a few feet away. "We'll see," she retorted, her voice calm but sharp.

Leon seized the opening, dashing forward and slashing at the demon's leg. His blade cut into the flesh, but it wasn't deep enough to slow the massive creature.

The demon growled, its sapphire eyes flaring. "You're persistent... like gnats!"

With a roar, the chamber darkened, and an oppressive aura surged out. A storm of azure winds whipped around the room, cutting through the stone like invisible blades. Roselia darted into the shadows, her presence vanishing, while Leon raised his sword defensively, struggling against the onslaught.

"You won't win with brute force alone!" Leon shouted, searching for an opening.

Roselia's voice echoed from the shadows. "Then it's a good thing I specialize in finesse."

A flicker of movement—Roselia appeared behind the demon, plunging her dagger into a gap in its thick hide. The demon roared in pain, swinging wildly to dislodge her. Using the momentum, she leapt off its back, landing beside Leon.

"Nice shot," Leon said, a hint of a grin on his face.

"Save the compliments," she replied. "We've still got a long way to go."

The demon straightened, its wound glowing faintly as it began to heal. "Impressive... but futile," it said, its voice colder now. "You will regret coming here."

Leon exchanged a glance with Roselia. This fight was far from over, and the demon was only getting started.

The Azure Bull Demon stood tall, its massive horns and clawed hands gleaming in the dim light of the chamber. Its body rippled with power, blue energy flowing through every vein. It towered over Leon and Roselia, its deep azure eyes flashing with fury.

"You will not leave here alive," the demon growled, stepping forward. The air around it pulsed with the weight of its presence. Every breath it took seemed to warp the very air, as though the room itself was bending to its will.

Leon narrowed his eyes. The fight was far from over, and this was only the beginning.

The demon's azure energy coiled around its body, forming jagged spikes along its arms and legs. With a roar, it slammed its fist down at Leon, who narrowly dodged, twisting out of the way with his enhanced agility. His boots scraped across the floor as he rolled back to his feet, his sword raised in defense.

"This won't be easy," Leon muttered, tightening his grip on his weapon. He could feel the heavy pressure in the air. The demon wasn't just strong—its power was amplified by the dungeon, the very core of the place.

Roselia, like the silent predator, flicked her wrist, throwing one of her daggers with deadly precision. The blade sped through the air, aimed directly at the demon's exposed side. But just before impact, the demon's hand shot out like a blur, snatching the dagger from midair and crushing it with a single squeeze.

"Pathetic," the demon sneered, tossing the remains aside.

Leon didn't waste a second. He dashed forward, using his "Dash" ability to disappear from sight and reappear behind the demon. His blade glinted as he swung it toward the demon's back, aiming for the exposed flesh between its shoulder blades. The sword struck true, cutting through the demon's tough hide, but the wound didn't go as deep as Leon hoped. The demon howled in pain, spinning to retaliate, but Leon was already gone, vanishing into thin air once more.

Roselia, timing her move perfectly, emerged from the shadows just as the demon swung its massive claw toward Leon's last known position. She dashed forward, aiming for its unprotected underbelly. Her daggers flashed as she struck with lightning speed. The demon roared, shaking its body as though trying to dislodge her, but Roselia was already gone, melding back into the darkness like a ghost.

"You think you can evade me?" the demon bellowed. Its blue energy crackled around it, sending out shockwaves of force that rippled through the air.

The ground beneath Leon's feet cracked as the demon summoned an eruption of power, aiming to knock him off balance. Leon barely managed to leap to the side, his heart racing. The demon was not only strong—it was fast, its senses sharp and its attacks relentless. But Leon had trained for years, and he wouldn't let this monster take him down so easily.

"Stay sharp, Roselia," Leon called out, his voice steady despite the chaos around them.

Roselia didn't respond with words, but Leon could feel her presence, the quiet assurance of a master assassin, as she readied herself to strike again.

The demon bared its teeth, its eyes glowing with fury. It surged forward, its clawed hands reaching out to grab Leon. But just as it lunged, Leon used his "Air Trick" again, disappearing in a flash and reappearing above the demon, sword raised high. He brought the blade down in a brutal arc, aiming for the demon's horned skull. But the demon was ready this time. It twisted its body, its massive tail sweeping up and knocking Leon out of the air, sending him crashing to the ground with a bone-rattling thud.

"Ugh…" Leon groaned, struggling to push himself up. The demon's tail had left a deep bruise along his side. He felt the impact all the way to his bones, but he couldn't afford to let the pain slow him down.

The demon turned its glowing gaze toward him, its lips curling into a malicious grin. "You are persistent. But I will end this."

Before Leon could react, the demon unleashed a wave of blue energy from its hands, a concentrated blast that shot toward him at lightning speed. Leon dove to the side, narrowly avoiding the blast that exploded into the ground, sending debris flying in all directions.

"Roselia!" Leon shouted, his heart pounding. He needed to keep the demon distracted long enough for Roselia to find an opening.

But Roselia had already anticipated Leon's request. She surged forward, reappearing behind the demon with one of her daggers poised to strike. With swift precision, she drove the blade into the demon's exposed side, right where Leon's previous strike had left a wound. This time, the blade sank deeper, drawing a roar of pain from the demon.

"You think you can kill me?" the demon howled, its energy surging once more. It spun around, its massive fist slamming into Roselia's midsection and sending her flying across the chamber.

"No!" Leon shouted, his blood boiling with anger. He knew that Roselia was fast, but the demon's strength was overwhelming. He couldn't let it keep gaining the upper hand.

Leon stood tall, his gaze hardening. "Enough."

The air around him began to shimmer, a strange energy building as he activated one of his hidden abilities. With a deep breath, Leon focused all of his strength into his sword, which began to glow with a radiant light. This was no ordinary attack—it was a full-powered strike, combining his enhanced speed and strength with the might of his sword.

It was the Aether Infusion he has came up with, using the Aether Control skill.

The demon seemed to sense the change, its eyes widening as it prepared to retaliate. But Leon was too fast. He disappeared in a flash, reappearing right in front of the demon, his sword raised high. With a single, powerful slash, he cut through the air, unleashing a wave of energy that sliced through the demon's defenses.

The demon's body trembled, the wound Leon inflicted deep enough to send waves of pain coursing through it. But still, it fought on. Its hand swung at Leon with a devastating strike, but before it could land, Leon used his "Dash" again, vanishing from sight and reappearing behind the demon. He slashed again, this time cutting through the demon's tail and sending it spiraling to the ground.

He is not going to use magic against a Demon as they usaully have high Magic Resistance, so he would be doing nothing but just waste his Mana.

Roselia, now back on her feet, wasted no time. She threw a handful of her remaining daggers, each one aimed with deadly precision. The demon was too injured to react in time, and the daggers found their mark, embedding deep into its exposed flesh.

The demon roared in fury, but its strength was waning. Leon pressed the attack, his blade flashing with each strike, each one weakening the demon further.

But suddenly it's body shone in azure light as from it's humanoid from it turned into an giant Bull like form, resembling a minotaur.
