Mummy Evolution

Chapter 115: Feeding Zarah with drops of Insight

Sett opened his palm, revealing a strange object.

It was a humanoid figure, no bigger than his palm—a translucent doll with blank eyes that flickered with countless images. Anyone who saw it wouldn't think of it as anything special, but this was, indeed, an incredible resource.

It was…

The Fruit of Insight from a Kemet Soldier!

And Sett planned to feed it to Zarah.

He could have cooked it before feeding it to her. But that was too much trouble. There was no need for that when he could feed it directly—it was just a fruit, after all, no matter its eerie appearance. Of course, if Zarah saw it, she would definitely freak out and would refuse to eat it.

That was why he had made her close her eyes.

Without hesitation, Sett crushed the fruit, and juices of ethereal light dripped into Zarah's mouth.

Zainah cringed inwardly. What was that thing he was feeding Zarah?! Didn't he get that fruit from the door?

Yes, he did…

Sett looked at Zainah.

"It is very beneficial," he said.

Zainah decided she did not want any of those benefits!

"I will never eat it!" she muttered in his ear.

He looked at her with a smile and then focused on Zarah.

Zarah, unaware, tasted something sweet and licked her lips. "It has no taste at all."

Then, insights started blossoming in her mind.

To better control the body's strength, one must not see it as different body parts. Hands, arms, and legs might all seem like separate parts, but in the end, they are all just part of one body. And one must be able to move as if they are one.

She not only understood what that meant, she could even execute it!

Her bodily control became much, much better.

More insights came in unbidden.

In combat, one must always suppress one's emotions like fear and battle as if they are already dead. Battles are fought not only in the body but also in the mind.

She opened her eyes, green pupils full of confusion. But at the same time, she felt as if she had suddenly fought a hundred battles and come out alive from all of them.

"What… just happened?"

"That crystallized essence contained all the battle insights of a Kemet Soldier. Someone who must have survived tens of hundreds of battles. And all of those insights now belong to you. Don't stop and meditate on it. It will take more time to digest."

The girl's eyes lit up and she sat down in meditation.

The more she thought about it, the more she felt that she had gained a tremendous boon.

Years of training time had been condensed into mere minutes!

Her confidence rose through the roof.

Insights regarding battle filled her mind!

If someone comes unarmed at me, I just need to find a method to become armed and I can have an advantage just by that. A person with a knife is always stronger than a person without one. Though, weapons also include magical abilities in this world.

If you are armed and your enemy is unarmed, they will feel afraid in the mind, and fear will make them hesitant in combat.

Fear is absolutely fatal in battle.

She saw flickers of deaths caused by fear.

Battles only have one purpose: to decide life or death.

These insights were not only quotes of understanding, but real demonstration of understanding. Zarah felt as if she had experienced years of battles herself. As if she had truly internalized these insights.

When Zarah opened her eyes, she noticed that she had fallen asleep at some point. She was nestled in Sett's warm embrace, with him carrying her like she was a baby.

She looked up at Sett, feeling smug.

Maybe I can even beat big brother in a battle now… I have so much understanding!

And she felt very smart. She understood so much!

"Big bro, I am very intelligent now."

Sett became speechless.

She nodded at his stunned expression—he must be surprised!

Sett looked at the sky.

When the one who doesnt shit shits, the whole town is drowned by shit!

"I really feel smart!" she said, seeing his sarcastic expression. "Really!"

"An illiterate idiot just gained the basics of understanding and now thinks she is smart." He laughed. "She must surely be right."

And of course, she was still illiterate—he assumed. After all, the Fruit of Insight was about battle only, not literacy.

Zarah growled. "I know a lot of things that even you might not know!"

"Reaaally?"

She nodded. "Then tell me, did you know that fear is absolutely fatal in a life or death battle? I bet you didn't know. Of course, these are things for big brains like me."

Sett was speechless.

Truly!

When the one who doesnt shit shits, the whole town is drowned by shit!

Zainah looked at her sister curiously.

Is she not embarrassed?

Ignoring the chatter, Sett sighed and put Zarah down before walking forward.

He was on the island in the sea Tomb now. The entire Tomb had been cleansed of strong lifeforms. Now, only his Tomb Slaves ruled this place.

With a simple command, he made all of the Tomb Slaves return into his Inner Tomb. They were different now, many Sea Monsters and similar were in the mix, while weaker ones like the Kemet Soldiers had grown much stronger from earlier.

But only the top tier fighting forces truly matter.

Yet, the Wooden Man Guardian was quite a good addition. He already had more than 120 metric tons of strength as a Tier 2, if he became Tier 3, he would have more than 1000 tons of strength!

That would easily make him Sett's strongest subordinate.

Sett then looked at Zainah and Zarah, then absorbed them into his Inner Tomb as well. They couldn't stay inside for a long time, but they could do that for a minute or two at least. After that, his Inner Tomb would just eject them.

Once he was alone, Sett closed his eyes.

He could suddenly sense the entire Tomb.

Limitless Magic—Tomb Lord!

With him as the center, space and time began to warp and the Tomb flowed into him. He became a black hole!

Since the owner of the Tomb, the sole Guardian, was his slave—he was of course, by proxy, the owner of this place.

And thus, he could absorb it into himself as well.

The Tomb became part of him.

It became a part of his very body.

His Inner Tomb now had a sea surrounding the City of Burrhen!

Sett's eyes snapped open in the Kemet Desert, a smile tugging the corner of his lips. Right as he woke, two girls were ejected out of his Inner Tomb.

Their faces were slightly pale.

He wrapped his hand around their waists.

Then, he looked at his stats.

[Tomb Size: 28 kilometers]

It had gone from 18 kilometers to 28 kilometers!

There are more C-tier Tombs close by, he thought with a smirk.

He planned to clean all the C-tier Tombs in the Kemet Tomb before anything else. When he has 100 Kilometers of land, his strength would receive a big boost after all!

For Sett—C-tier Tombs were just Territory waiting to be conquered.

Lord Burrhen appeared under his foot and the trio once again took to the skies—in search of another Tomb to conquer.

As they flew in the skies, Zainah nudged Sett.

"Sett, do you have something to drink?"

He handed her a bottle of water. Then asked with a smile, "Want something to eat?"

"Hm...I am not really hungry."

He pinched her cheeks. "You look hungry. You just became a Tomb Raider, so it is a given that you are hungry. I thought you loosened up around me—seems like you are still tight."

She blushed. "You seemed busy, I didn't want to trouble you."

Even now, they were on the way to the next Tomb after all.

"Don't worry about that. Let's eat, but before that…"

Sett took out a few Tier 1 Tomb Hearts from his Inner Tomb. Then, he put them into Zarah's mouth. She swallowed them, unknowingly licking his fingers while at it.

"Now you are Tier 1 Sacred, the same level as Zarah."

Zarah watched silently from the side, pouting. When did her sister become such a fool? Be more energetic! More proactive! BE YOU! Why are you hesitating if you want food? Just ask and eat while on the flight…

Sis is complicating such unnecessary stuff. Zarah snorted inwardly. Too much thinking leads to foolishness. Thus, one must not think.

Sett laughed and brought out a few dishes from his storage.

Zarah took a fork and began stuffing her mouth with chicken.

Sett's expression brightened. Her strength control is great!

She was ready for Tier 2.

As he thought that, he felt the distinct sensation of another Tomb close by. It was easy to sense a Tomb in a desert, after all, everything became a bit cold near Tombs. Sett looked down from Burrhen with his golden gaze.
