Chapter 162: Chapter 160: The Path Ahead

At present, with various advantages accumulated, Li Mo had already mapped out a clear plan for the days ahead. To him, the Greater Grail held little importance—whether it opened a "portal" to the Root or existed as the Third Magic for materializing souls, none of it truly concerned him.

Those concepts were far beyond his reach.

The mindset of magi who justified any atrocity in pursuit of reaching the Root left Li Mo unimpressed. His focus lay elsewhere:

*All the World's Evil.*

On one hand, this malevolent sludge could grant Servants physical forms, allowing them to remain in the real world indefinitely. This applied to Medea, Medusa, and even Artoria Pendragon.

On the other hand, *All the World's Evil* represented something deeper—the embodiment of human malice.

"Gorgon-senpai, do you think such a plan is genuinely feasible?"

That night, after explaining his knowledge to both Medea and Gorgon, Li Mo unveiled an audacious proposal. The foundation of the plan rested on Li Mo's current state.

Following the ritual that infused him with White Chen bloodline traits, Li Mo was no longer purely human. Instead, he became someone bearing the White Chen lineage. In this condition, Gorgon's secret techniques could be employed: growing tails sequentially until nine emerged, transforming him into a "Beast."

However, there was a challenge. For Li Mo, growing the first tail proved exceedingly difficult. While Gorgon had achieved this effortlessly due to her nature, their fundamental differences made the process far more arduous for him.

Using *All the World's Evil* to grow the first tail.

Instinctively, Li Mo harbored doubts about this approach. It felt akin to using a nuclear bomb to clean up radioactive contamination—though theoretically plausible, the practical risks were immense. Could he truly confront such a force?

"Why wouldn't it work? Master, you're human, not a Servant. If black mud can consume Servants, does it possess the same effect on humans? I doubt it. Otherwise, those two Masters from the Fourth Holy Grail War wouldn't have survived."

Kiritsugu Emiya and Kotomine Kirei—both endured exposure to *All the World's Evil* and lived. The former passed away years ago due to lingering injuries sustained during the war, but were these wounds caused by the black mud? Unlikely. Kotomine Kirei remained active even now…

"I'll test it when the time comes. But how should we proceed with reshaping bodies through the black mud?"

"Master, even without physical forms, Servants can sustain prolonged existence in this world via mana," Gorgon pointed out.

"I understand, but having a body offers significant convenience, doesn't it?"

As Li Mo spoke, Gorgon's eyes sharpened. Leaning closer, she whispered seductively into his ear, "Could it be… Master wants to start a family?"

"Gorgon-senpai, how many times must I remind you? You're a rabbit, not a fox!"

Why did she keep thinking like that fox, always fixating on becoming someone's ideal wife?

Gorgon chuckled mischievously. "Master, rabbits don't have fixed mating seasons—we're fertile year-round. Just like you."

Li Mo raised a hand, cutting her off. "Enough. Let's stay focused. Medea-san, what are your thoughts?"

Until then, Medea had remained silent, processing the information shared with her.

The Greater Grail was a product of the Third Magic. Now corrupted, its essence embodied *All the World's Evil*, symbolizing humanity's collective sins. Should Li Mo harness this corruption to grow his tails and transform into a Beast, the process would stabilize following Gorgon's guidance.

"The feasibility of the plan is high. Sin isn't Original Sin, but it remains bearable. What Master needs to consider is whether his resolve can withstand the psychological impact of carrying such sin," Medea responded thoughtfully.

Li Mo recalled Kiritsugu Emiya, whose dreams shattered upon immersion in the black mud. And Kotomine Kirei? What about himself?

"I don't believe my resolve will falter compared to others. We'll address this later. For now, I need to ensure how Servants can safely acquire physical forms through the black mud."

"Master, is your fixation on acquiring flesh tied to your friend?"

Medea directed her gaze toward the fox mask hanging at Li Mo's waist. She knew it housed a consciousness—that of Li Mo's companion. He carried the mask everywhere, handing it over only briefly during his battle with Rider. Such battles often carry unforeseen consequences, making the mask clearly significant to him.

"Yes… she has lost her corporeal form. Reconstructing it seems fitting, especially since her previous body stemmed from impurity. Using *All the World's Evil* suits her perfectly."

There was one catch: the White Chen bloodline would become redundant. Though he had expended half his blood, the remaining portion was reserved for Hanako's reconstruction. Yet reflecting further, he realized *All the World's Evil* alone could suffice.

"But Master, your friend isn't a Heroic Spirit," Medea interjected.

"You raise a valid point… though perhaps I could create a spiritual anchor for her." Li Mo mused aloud.

In certain legends, even phantoms like "Illusory Spirits" could gain physical forms through fused anchors. Applying this method to Hanako and granting her a body wasn't entirely impossible.

Still, challenges persisted—primarily technological hurdles requiring substantial time to overcome. By then, the Greater Grail might already manifest, potentially beginning its disintegration process.

The corruption of the Grail wasn't superficial, like dust settling on furniture. Its very essence had transformed. If once the Grail resembled stone, now it was wood—a fundamental shift rendering it less a universal wish-granting machine and more a destructive weapon akin to nuclear arms. After the Third Holy Grail War, the Greater Grail's dissolution seemed inevitable.

Perhaps alternative methods existed. If all they needed was a body, options abounded… provided Hanako awakened from her slumber within the mask.

Thinking of Hanako still dormant inside, Li Mo's mood darkened momentarily. Then, addressing Medea directly, he said, "From here on, your assistance will be crucial. Thank you for your help."

Medea smiled softly, savoring the sensation of being relied upon.

Trust and dependence went hand in hand. And in this moment, she cherished the bond forming between them.
