Laxus was angry at the way the guild is being managed. Just now, he had gone to put that blasted mutt in his place for coming to their guild after attacking it before.

But the more annoying thing was the other three who tortured by him standing up to stop him from giving out more punishment. And the last move done by Gajeel to divert the lightning blast he sent out pissed him off even more as he had misfired that to Levi in his anger at the time. He had regretted sending it out the moment he did, but the fact that the man he beat up was the one who saved his guildmate pissed him off even more.

"Those Fairy Tail bastards are just for show, you know they were weak enough that they had to get members form the guild that attacked them before"

And that broke it, the random comment from a drunk idiot from a bar snapped the last sense of control he had over his thoughts and common sense.

There had been reports of a bar in Magnolia getting destroyed by a large lightning falling from the sky.

"That's it, the plan goes on the day of the Fantasia parade. Freed, activate the runes on that day morning when the fairy tail competitions start. By the time the night of the festival comes, only the strongest of the guild must remain and by then, Magnolia and the whole of Fiore will see the might of the strongest guild of the continent."

"What about Karna?, won't he try to stop you when he finds out" Evergreen said what the others were worried about.

Lightning started to fly off Laxus's body intensely as he heard what she said.

"My brother will not be put under any danger no matter the consequence. I want him to be trapped inside the guildhall the entire time this happens. You have made sure of that, right Freed" Laxus asked intensely as he turned towards Freed.

"That was done years ago Laxus, as long as Karna comes inside the seal when it is activated, he won't be able to get out unless I will it. Even if by some miracle I am taken down, the runes will still keep on working"

"Good" Laxus spat out as he went out.

"Don't you think he's going a bit too far" Bixlow voiced out his worries.

"His paranoia is caused by what happened to Karna when they were young. So, he still can't accept the fact that he has grown stronger" Evergreen said with a sigh.

"Hey, who do you think is stronger right now, Karna or Laxus. Cause seriously, Laxus may have had the upper hand when they were young, but that guy sometimes has a kind of aura that makes me feel like he's more dangerous than what he shows on the outside.

Plus, from what I heard, the guy invented a way to increase the physical and magical power of all the wizards and master was seen giving them to those he thought was ready to use it. He had come to me too and told me to contact you two about it" Bixlow told while sitting on a chair

"We can deal with the thing master said later as for whether Karna or Laxus, truthfully I don't know. What do you think Freed" Evergreen asked Freed.

"Our duty is to listen to Laxus alone and nothing more" Freed said coldly as he got out of the building.

"Damn the guy's trying to keep it in himself huh" Bixlow said as he could feel that the coldness shown by Freed is a way by which he is prepping himself up for harming his comrades.

"Haah" Evergreen sighed "Why are boys so complicated"

Bixlow wisely decided to keep silent about that comment.

At the time, Freed had reached the central core of his runes and made his magic run through the entire lines of runes he had written. He felt the magic go through those lines and come back to the core, showing that the loop of magic he created was working properly. But while doing it, he felt something was wrong, but he shook himself to rid off that worry.

"Maybe, I'm not prepared to face them in battle" he said in a melancholic expression but then shook himself awake and then had a cold look on his face. "but none of that matters at all. I only need to follow what Laxus orders me to do"

He said as he walked back towards his home. But as he went away, a short man emerged from the darkness, looking at the activated runes on the ground.

"It seems like you are going on that path Laxus" Makarov said in a sombre tone and then he began smirking wide.

"Just wait till you see the surprises your brother and I have got for you kid" Makarov started laughing while walking home. Imagining the expression of his elder grandchild.

"Breathing techniques"

Gajeel looked at the book given to him by Makarov earlier in the day. After acting as a double agent for the dark guild Grimoire Heart who is supposed to have the son of the guildmaster under them.

Gajeel felt like he was being used by Makarov as an expendable at first. But seeing that Makarov gave him the option to refuse, he decided to do it as a way to atone for what he had done to the Fairy Tial guild members. And seeing that he had succeeded in making a connection, Makarov gave him the breathing method while saying that the others are also training in it and if he does not want to be held back, he must start practicing.

"Damn it, I ain't going to let that damn Salamander get ahead of me this time!" Gajeel vowed as he began to study the book more thoroughly.

At the time, Juvia had gotten the breathing method as well.
