Minato May Have Been Your Father But He Ain't Your Daddy

Danzo was angry and sad but there was nothing he could do because Hiruzen was no longer the same and Danzo lacked support in the village.

His support were his two teammates and now they were missing, most probably dead. Danzo suspects that the person spreading rumours and the person who was responsible for Koharu and Homura's disappearance were the same.

But even with this information he couldn't do anything as he didn't even know where to begin. 

Hiruzen wasn't even interested or showed concern about the disappearance of their friends causing Danzo to feel sad because he felt that Hiruzen had been corrupted by power. 

He no longer cared about anything else other than the Hokage position and had become more cold-blooded and ruthless. 

Danzo felt that it was all the more reason for him to take over the position of Hokage. Now was the time that Konoha needed a hero, a hero who would disperse the cloud of darkness that was gathering over the sunny sky of Konoha so that budding leaves of the village could bask in its sunshine.

Who better to disperse the darkness than the person who has been staying in it for most of his life? Only he, Danzo could make Konoha great again. 

But first, he had to take measures to find out who had been spreading these rumours and think of methods to clear his stinky reputation.....

Hiruzen was standing on top of the Hokage rock as he overlocked the peaceful village he had been protecting for decades. 

He let out a melancholic sigh as his gaze became a bit cloudy as he thought about many things but after a long time gazing into the horizon, he let out a deep breath as his shoulders straightened a bit as if he had lost some huge burden. 

" So you made your decision? " A calm voice came from his side and Hiruzen didn't even need to turn his head to know who it was. 

" Yeah~ " He replied calmly while his voice had a hint of relief in it. 

" Oh~ You don't even feel a bit reluctant? " Genji the commander of the ANBU asked with a bit of mirth in his voice. 

" A bit~ But it's better for me to give it away rather than holding on to it, do you know how long it has been since this hat was on my head? " Hiruzen chuckled a bit as he asked with a bit of nostalgia. 

Genji didn't reply as he too couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic. He had been the ANBU commander for more than 2 decades and he too couldn't help but feel a bit tired. So he could also understand Hiruzen's thoughts. 

" And even if I don't want to abdicate do you think I can still be Hokage? You do know how strong he is right? I don't think even Lord First would be able to defeat him " Hiruzen said with a smile, he wasn't displeased at all with the current outcome.

Because of Itsuki's tyrannical strength, Konoha was safe, because a new God of Shinobi was its protector. 

Maybe the Senju clan will truly become the only voice in Konoha, and all the positions of authority will belong to the Senju, which went against Hiruzen's ideals but what could he do? 

He wasn't qualified to negotiate because he and Itsuki weren't on the same level and he didn't want to negotiate. 

Although the Senju may become more influential, the village will also prosper, and the fear of an uprising or civil war were non-existent.

Because Itsuki was the guarantee, the legendary Mangekyou Sharingan which was fabled to have been able to contend with First Hokage's wood release couldn't even do anything against Itsuki. 

He watched with his own eyes how Fugaku was beaten up like a toddler, Itsuki made it so that Fugaku looked very weak. 

But Hiruzen could feel the power of the chakra giant condensed by Fugaku and knew that he too would have trouble against it. 

It wasn't that Fugaku was weak ..... but it's just that Itsuki was too strong. 

So strong that he didn't need to consider anybody's opinions. Village politics is an intricate way by which the clans check and balance each other. 

If Hiruzen had the strength then he didn't need to consider the interests of multiple parties before making a decision.

He would have at least tried to remedy the branch house system of the Hyuga clan. 

But Itsuki was not like him, he had the strength to suppress any rebellion or discontentment among the masses, he could just say 'fuck you' and do whatever he wanted. 

Because in this harsh shinobi world, only the strong were respected. The best example of this was how after the death of the First Hokage all the other villages spit on his sacrifice. 

He gave them the tailed beasts in hopes of attaining balance and promoting peace, the villages listened to his proposal not because he was a kind and good man but because of his overwhelming strength. 

Itsuki may not be as gentle as the First Hokage but Hiruzen felt it was better this way, at least he wasn't a warmonger. 

As for Itsuki collecting the tailed beasts .... he just turned a blind eye to it because he didn't wish to care about it as he wanted to peacefully retire...
